    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Neil Gubitz=Good Guy

TOM, you may be 100% correct about your

assesment of Neil. I have never posted any thread in defense of Neils action. People may interpet it that way, but nevertheless, I cannot provide any information about a complaint that someone else makes on this site unless I have 1st hand information.

I can also appreciate your frustrations about Neils perpetual ability to screw in a lightbulb backwards, and I have never posted any threads in his behalf on that as well.

You may also be correct about the age difference cosidering that I am reaching 60 and I may have a different perspective on things in general. I may be also willing to accept what one may consider humerous may not be to someone else.

Mr Eaton and I have come to a mutual understanding. Their is no doubt that his threads to me were quite different and more intuned with an intellengent response to my complaints. I appreciated that and we have moved on. Personally, i can understand his frustrations as yours, but their is a way to express them and then their is a way not to express them.

I guess my argument is that we have to put ourselves (me included) into a more professional dialogue when dealing on the internet. I dont entertain complaints about Neil or anyone else unless I have something to contribute that I know about or experienced with the person in question. It is my opinion that , if you want to express an opinion that is based on what other people have written about thats fine with me because it is just that an opinion, certainly not first hand facts!

But lets be civil about it. If you stop and think about it, the only response someone could have provided to Mr. Eatons early posts, would have been more caustic then his. That would have evolved into a flame war, personal attacks, etc. In the end it would have been deleted by the webmaster. Thats the only conclusion I could see.

You can provide an argument and explain your reasons and gain the greatest amount of respect by being a gentleman about it. I believe Mr. Eaton is a gentleman, I also believed when he calmed down he could have expressed himself even more forceful had it been handled a bit differently. This has nothing to do with Neil, but it does have something to do with credibility in any format that requires a dialogue. I am putting this to rest. Thanks for your imput and I really appreciated everything you have said. JERRY

I only offered some advice, Take it or leave, its that simple. I did not say anything nasty or down grading to or about you.

You need to remove that chip on your shoulder, I know that the light at the end of the tunnel is fading feast for you. But do not attack because someone tried to give you some friendly advice.

Now your attorney, does he have a name, phone number or address? If you do have one he is not to good at doing his job, I have a home that is paid for 3 vehicles paid for and a store, bank accounts and thousands of dollars in breeding stock. I have had the same address and phone number for years. Now the reason I am saying this is not to brag but to ask why has he not contacted me?


Now I do not want to get into any flaming with you but you and I both know what is going on and why I have not been contacted. That is about all I can say about that.

So now lets follow the rules here and stay on topic Neil, we do not want anymore warnings now do we?

Vince, Neil is like a injured animals right now, He is hurt and cornered so no matter what anyone says or does to or for him he take it as a threat and comes out biting.

Over the past few years Neil has been givin several chances to correct his attitude, memory, his outlook towards others basically his wrong doings to other. But it has never happened !!!!!! The true Neil always comes out.

It everyone would just sit back and read all of Neil's post where he is defending himself you will see the pattern, It was someone else thst took the donated money, it was this person the called my father, it was the lady that did this so on and so on. He even gets people to come here and back up his stories or to post in his favor...... Neil is always the victem, always..........


The only time that he does do the right thing is when presure is put on him or he is caught. He work on the assumption the no one can prove or disprove what he says or in the case with me that no one will believe me.


I did not write this to start any sort war but I wanted to chance to voice my opinion.
 
its a shame guys like that are permitted to linger, and sneek around on the internet dooping others , people who only use kingsnake.com to buy animals have no idea what kind of person this guy is. its a damn shame they are aloud to sneak around the internet scamming people only to make good when they are cought. why the hell dont you big wig herp guys do something about it. it seems like everyone is all talk no action.

In every industry, people must do their homework before spending their money, whether it be on reptiles, used cars, home repair, etc.

Yes, there are total rip off artists in every industry. You simply can't put on a cape, become Superman, and obliterate all the bad guys. What do you expect the "big wig herp guys" to do exactly? And who are the "big wig herp guys" anyway?

As for Neil specifically.......he has customers. Happy customers. Loyal customers. Yes, he also has former customers that have certainly (and loudly) announced that they will never do business with him again.....but he apparently makes enough people happy that he can still make a good living in this business. I guess that's really speculation on my part, since I've never met Neil, nor bought anything from him, but he's still around so I'll assume he's making a living at it.

Now, if you're talking more about other people who take money and never ship anything, or go into trades and never send their part, or require Western Union payments then disappear, or people who steal animals from shows, or write checks for animals that bounce.....in general, the people who have no intent other than being a fly-by-night scam....yes, it's a shame that it sometimes takes a long time to bring justice to those types of people, and sometimes they actually get away with it. I won't mention any names, because this thread is about Neil, but if you search the BOI, you'll find plenty of them.

id say the people who run this, and other similar websites. people who run the reptile shows etc. something like if your caught scamming someone directly or indirectly from anything such as selling a known sick animal as healthy and pounding down mice, or not shipping anything at all. people who run these scams such as the guy this post is about should be black listed. and the list should be made public and easily accessible is that to much to ask? This BOI does a semi good job of exposing these scammers, but others who do not even know about fauna.com have no idea about the kind of people they are dealing with over on kingsnake, reptibid ect ect. The list should be created and I suggest it starts here. if you have been scamed please write full story along with the scammers name, all known emails, alliases(alot of them have fake names now too), member names, and whatever other info you see fit to expose these people before someone suffers the same fate that you have. actualy i will create a new thread so jump over there and let everyone know exacltly what is going on in the underbelly of this internet reptile trade.

The BOI does a great job if a person would only use the tools that are here. Do a name search, ask other members and so on. Neil does have a few repeat clients (growing smaller by the day, I would think) but the troulbe is the mis-leading ads that he post on KS make unknowing people buy from him. Once they buy the animal it is to late to do to much Neil post photos (as crappy as they are) he is smart enough to cover his butt as to not commit a criminal offence. Neil does correct a few of these horrific deals but it normally take pressure from the people here.

I would do is to simply inform Jeff B. of K.S. about Neil's ads and shady deals, Maybe just maybe Jeff and the other site owners will do something about him after complaints start to flood in. Other then to make them aware of Neil and the way he uses thier site to scam people and to Post about him wherever the people that he has scammed can. That is about that only way to stop him. Understand for ever one person that Neil cons there are 10 that he has yet to scam.

One last think to know about Neil Gubitz, he is the very best spin doctor in the world so he gets people and the newbes don't even know that they have be got !!!!! He targets Newbes (or people he thinks are ) and when they complain he can blame it on thier lack of knowledge.

Your convictions are commendable, however, they will fall on deaf ears. I agree with you one hundred percent, but you will still have people backing up individuals with a less then honest history. It goes on here everyday. Why certain people continue to do business with known scammers and liars is beyond me. Look for yourself! Upstate Exotics/Enclosures by Design has lied soooo many times it's disgusting!! Everything that you can do wrong in a business, they have done. Yet they still have their supporters. Most of these supporters are scum as well, but you still see honest people defending them. Tim Bowels, Aboreals of the Rainforest...... Another example, but he still has supporters. I'm sure there are plenty of good people trying to get started in this business and make a name for themselves, but some people would still rather buy from a scammer then give the "new guy" a chance.

Eventually, it will be the down fall of this hobby/industry. And the only ones to blame will be these people that continue to support scum and give them new life after every scam rather then condemning them! They know who they are, so I won't mention any names...................stardust
 
Dennis, what you said does have merit it does seem like a handleful of these scammers do take turns defending each other. I still think it is the fact that everyday there is a newbie that is taken by these people and do to the fact that the newbie has a lack of knowledge it make then easy prey for the likes of Neil and the sort. Now I am not saying that Neil sits in the dark room saying " GEE JOHN DOE IS STUPID, I WILL RIP HIM OFF BEFORE HE DEALS WITH A HONEST PERSON." But it seems that for evey one good deal Neil has there is 6 bad deals and yes I do concider it a bad deal if there is anything that needs to be corrected. If there was a way to take every single post concerning Neil (good or bad) and put them all into a single thread and tack it at the top of the BOI then may people would read it and be warned prior to dealing with him.

There are people that are honestly willing to forget and forgive easier than others. In my opinion that's not wrong, it's simply different. They are people who believe in the goodness of others. Is that wrong? Not in my book.

What I do believe is wrong though, is when a person with factual information about the bad deeds of another "sticks out for him", when in reality he is protecting his own source of income. By doing so the second guy assures that his protege stays in business, and in turn buys more animals from him. With that I have a problem.

Neil... To tell you the truth... IF... I had as many people talking or posting their opinions about ME as they have been with YOU ~ I can't say that I would have reacted any differently! Than to reply as you have to each and everyone that expressed their "OPINION"... (by the way thats all it is ) without ever having dealt with you PERSONALLY in any way... as I have, and being satisified beyond expectations of the animals I have received from YOU!... compared to others I have dealt with (MANY WHO POST HERE @ FAUNA/OBI) in the past year(s); the animals were superior than I was expecting, packaging is of higher quality and packed with care, and you shipped my order before receiving payment! Actually you sent them NDA as I told you I was/would send payment Overnight for the animals I wanted @ the time! WhatthEfckUout will help you remember (Others too!)... Often is misread should be read as "What th' Ef ChecK yoU out" LOL By the time I recieved the package you sent and called you... You were opening an envelope with a rather large payment ENCLOSED!!! NOW I ask you... HOW many other people have or would ship to a customer like that? NONE! It was a totally unexpected deal, YES you said you'ld send them based on our conversation then NDA... but I thought it would be when you received the payment FIRST! I wish I lived in in the perfect world some of these people posting their opinion(s) lived in... wait on second thought... I'm glad I dont! When Christ was born his mother "Mary"was said to be a virgin! We still celebrate that miraculous event to this day... well most of us do. Alot gets lost and confused when past on from one to another from past to present... etc. Then the TRUE meaning gets LOST from the original statement... as with this post! As for being an embarrassment to the BOI for posting MY opinion and support for Neil, I'm only stating the FACTS as I have experienced them in & with my dealings with Neil Gubitz @ tampa snake pit. You know, Dennis, I have often times said that I don't understand giving money to questionable companies when there are so many hard working, caring people out there that deserve business so much more. There's one in particular that I've shown a serious disdain for that Rozann has been supportive of during a time they indicated they were changing their behavior. Suffice it to say that we certainly didn't see eye to eye on that one. However, I find Ro to be a very intelligent, caring, responsible woman. To state ( in whatever veiled fashion ) that her personal support of a business will result in the downfall of the industry/hobby is a pretty loaded statement. IMO, it wasn't justified at all.

Maybe my comprehension is just off today.

I wonder if these people exist or are they Neil's ALTER EGO (S).

aND IF THEY DO EXIST ARE THEY ON HIS PAYROLL AND FOR HOW MUCH.
 
A quick response ....

To answer your question, I PERSONALLY know dozens of people who post here on the BOI. And when I say personally, I MEAN PERSONAL FRIENDS. I will name names if you feel it absolutely necessary. And all of these people thought my little "juvenile" comments were funny. Maybe the people that you know and respect have a lighter side and could laugh at things. Neil's actions and his defenders are no laughing matter but alot of people see that as a joke as well.
 
"Personal friends" and "a majority of the people on this board" aren't the same thing, but it clarifies your statement a bit, and I appreciate you addressing that.

Believe it or not, I have a sense of humor, it's just tuned to a different station than yours. :)
