In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Nick Giavasis......Sellers Beware!! PayPal Buyers Remorse

I also don't understand why you continue to bump these threads with rude comments towards Mr. McPhee when he has done completely right by you. He bent over backwards to meet your demands for animals, even rejecting other buyers at your (unwarranted) request, and then when you abruptly canceled the deal, he refunded the money in a timely manner relative to what he could scrounge up after bills and such. You should have no further issue with him and yet you continue squawking and making noise on these threads... do you just enjoy the attention?

Yeah, well try this then.......try joining the military, protecting a bunch of people you do not even know, going placing to fight that have nothing to do with the place you're from, dodging bullets, training people to dodge bullets, or giving support to other troops.........become injured, or miss body parts.....then talk to me about how much you don't like people talking about Vet status. ...snip.

Actually that is pretty close to exactly what happened when I posted what I did. You are not the only Vet on this board...
Sorry to derail this convoluted conversation even further.

Tom, You are kill'n me! You and I have spoken outside of this forum and never had harsh words. You were in fact VERY nice & professional with me......what gives Man?

I guess the good part was, I wasn't intentionally advertising, I was just trying to switch the subject, and let people know that my life is about more than snakes, that we have other hobbies around here and if I can provide, then cool...if not, cool too. You know, I was making conversation, seeing if maybe someone had other interests too, or similar, and maybe we'd HELP one another.
The bad part was, always someone hate'n, or try'n to hate........I tend to feel sorry for that type. Just smile more.....it get's better.......
The BETTER thing is this, I did in fact get emailed because of others interested in the items I had listed in my last post.......see, I helped make a few people very happy these holidays! I had no idea so many reptile people collect minerals & fossils, TOO COOL! Ya know, if anyone spending their time still whining wants to tell what other hobbies they have, things they buy, sell, swap, import, export, collect, do with their kids/families.........guess what people.....an odd thing tends to happen..........something we had did back in the late 1960--70's in a small town in Ohio..........we actually help each other, we sell w/o advertising, we barter, swap, trade..............we exchange some things for other things which make us happy. OK?! I grew up outside of Amish Country in central Ohio......people did things like that....and now you're complaining when I list what I do, or have, or collect, or provide to others? Really!? You are the best friend of "Commercialism", you are the supporters of "The Man"......always monitoring what we buy, sell, and then tax it, or Paypal takes whatever-% they charge, or your newspaper charges you $95 for a 3-line ad. So hey, Rocket-Scientist, if you have things you want to share, hobbies, items you deal with, do it, but don't tell me what to say. Anyone looking for or needing any of the stuff I listed in my last post already knows they can email me at:
[email protected]
I listed that email address days ago, as I've been vending warrantless attacks against my person ;-)
Now Come On Man, I ask again, CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?! I know someone has snakes and or other collectibles that I'd like, I'd buy, I'd swap......now can we get on to Get'n On with more positive stuff? By the way, did I mention I have reeeeally nice minerals, fossils, and antiques? LOL! Come on Tom...........be a little nicer Man! Don't type words you can't and or won't back up........just do yourself a favor, friend, be nice....you want to be nice..........go ahead, say it to yourself, "Self, be nice"..........OK, doesn't that feel better?

To those that have expressed concerns - just because we don't make a public comment, it doesn't mean we aren't seeing & addressing things.

This buyer was very cavalier about the shipping date and definitely led the seller to believe that he was in no hurry. Then all of the sudden, for no apparent reason the shipping date becomes a major issue.

I guess the buyer was technically within his rights but looking at the whole context of the deal, basicly the buyer acting like everything was all good and they were just best buddies and acting like the main thing was just to get healthy snakes-then all of the sudden blindside the seller, it's very bad form on the part of the buyer.

And like others have said, the arrogant "I'm the best customer you're ever gonna have" would have raised a red flag for me.

I am glad the OP posted this thread. I breed less and what I do breed I mainly wholesale nowdays but if I was still selling to the public I would not even respond to this buyers inquiries.

Oh and another thing. I did read all the emails and I remember now that the seller was very lenient when the buyer had problems paying the full amount all at once. Very hypocritical for the buyer not to give the seller the same consideration when it came to shipping.

But he's the best customer you're ever gonna have

There is just a little bit of difference in saying you are a disabled Vet, and trying to use that status to sway people viewing this thread. You chose the latter route. Like the disabled vet status puts you above reproach or something. I'm here to tell you that it don't. Regardless of how many times you bring it into the conversation.

I know lots of vets. Some of them disabled too. The honorable ones would never bring it into a conversation as some sort of a defense for their childish action. I also know a couple of vets that I wouldn't believe anything they said. They could tell me they needed help, that they were on fire...and I'd have to see the flames to believe it because they just lie that much. Being a Vet, disabled or not, doesn't make one an honorable, honest, above questioning, member of society. It simply means you did an honorable thing serving your country at some point in your life. As did many, many others in this country. Respect is earned, not given. It's commanded, not demanded.

I could give 2 shits about what you've done in the past, when at present you act like no more then a scorned child. You say it's over, got my money back, can we all get along now...then you proceed to call Robert Mc Phee a liar in the same post. That's about as irrational as every one of your posts in this thread, and the thread you created in retaliation. All your posting did was tell people what an irrational individual you are, and not to be seen as a prospective client in any sort of reptile related transaction.

I don't think being a vet will help with that one. :NoNo:

:iagree: Great post Rick!

If you give me reason to actually go back and find your emails, you're going to end up looking like a complete @ss.

I know you want to "drop it" and "let it go" but I would still really love to see these. And an actual screen shot not a copy and paste.

This. Oh my gawd this. Couldn't have been said more perfectly then this. Pay close attention Nick. Learn it. Use it.

I would also like to see the "Doctored" e-mails.....
Don't Forget Nick, you can make another $850......Just prove it! Make me eat my words!!

Just so we are all clear!! Nick got his $850 refund and for the record I am so glad he did not end up with my animals.....Some of them are the only ones in existence and it would be a shame for them to fall into the hands of a "flipper".

Wait, just so I have this straight... you're wildly successful and own tons of stuff no one wants, yet you gripe about the measly 3% that Paypal charges you for a SERVICE? A service that, funny enough, would be far more expensive for you to provide any other way? You think you should get it for FREE? You should get someone else's professional, useful service for free??? They're "The Man" and not allowed to CHARGE you for the SERVICE of collecting CC payments?

You're a real piece of work. I think we've all met "This Guy" before, haven't we? You know the one... you were behind him in line at every reptile show you've ever been to... yeah, he's the guy that gets the vendor to pull out every one of his most valuable snakes so he can hold them, talks a bunch of B.S. about how he'd love to buy them, but he's got his eye on "That Moar Expensiver Double Diamond Craps Gold Ball Python" at the other table that's 5X more expensive, leaves without buying anything, and just wasted 15 minutes of your life on his useless blathering?

Mr G, you FAIL at Fauna threads.
