Just so everyone knows, my post was in no way trying to deface or tarnish Nick's reputation. I was just sharing my experience that I had with him. He has e-mailed me and we are working on a compromise for what happened when I attempted to purchase the spider female in February. From the email that he has sent me, he was very apologetic and nice in that email. I did drive 2 hours to pick up the spider female on the day I said I would be in the area, even with no reply. As a dependable buyer, I naturally assumed that the seller would have the same dependability. Stupid on my part for the waste of gas...but then again I tend to have too much faith in people I don't know. I know it is my job to be wary of who I am purchasing from and I should have waited for a response...

All too familiar

I have somehow willed myself to make it through this entire thread, and after my head stopped spinning from all the off topic rambling and misdirection, I was floored by the similarities between this thread about Mr. Giavasis and another member who has made quite a name for themself on BG threads. What we've been seeing/hearing from Nick is...

Major deflection of and running off with topics that have nothing to do with actual issue at hand.

How good of a business person he is and how 99.9% of all transactions are smooth.

Rants comprised of nonsensical talk and name calling.

"I only have this to say, and then I'm done here!!!"

Claiming to have all sorts of proof and posting very little to none.

There is probably more, but I don't really feel like subjecting myself to going back and looking any further. All we need at this point is Ed Clark and freezer full of beardies and this thread would be nearly identical to half a dozen other BG posts.

I personally have nothing for or against Nick, I just found the ebb and flow of this thread to strikingly familiar. I can honestly say that I'm more than happy to lose out on a 99.9% sure fire good deal with him, and would rather not deal with him at all after reading all of his mind numbing commentary.

Below is only a snippet of what you will find in that thread. Nick has proved that he doesn't have the ability to tell the truth and has no problem selling off a sick snake to an unsuspecting buyer.

And yet here is the email that he sent to his seller in regards to a supposedly sick snake. There was never any proof posted by Nick. The emails were actually posted by the seller.

Robert, what’s happened that you’d speak badly of me? I’m a guy that takes part in this “hobby” with his 17 year old daughter, so what’s up? The last time we spoke was years ago, when we saw things differently. Your lobbied claims against me were nothing short of revenge after our disagreement. Why are you speaking badly of me now? I’m lost as to your motivation.

In my dealings with you, we obviously disagreed, but all was in the past. I prefer to agree that we disagreed. I’m not sure why you’re acting-out, why such behavior in my direction now? Listen Bud, when we had our falling out, you & I were speaking just fine over MANY phone conversations. We had our disagreement, sadly, you hung up the phone, and then lobbied attacks against me on fauna (which were very effective if I must say so myself). Robert, respectfully, if you see it differently, fine, that’s all-cool, then let me make it reeeeeally easy on you and say, you’re “right”, OK?! You can be “right” about whatever you say. I’m a busy guy/father, I work 6-7 days a week, I have a family to love & spend time with, so you can be “right”, and I will be “wrong“. You can even fill in this blanks, here….…....you are “right” about ________________________ (you can fill in this blank with whatever subject you desire), and I am “wrong”. There, you happy? We good? We cool?

Worth noting, your last attacks drove one of my kids from the hobby all-together, disinterested my wife, and just bummed us out for quite a while. I can tell you now, openly, that since our ills, I have mentioned your name to ONE person, and that was done in-passing when the subject of “fauna” or the ill effects of “forums” were mentioned. I believe I shared, in brief, my ONE bad experience, which obviously included you. That’s it!
Years have past since you created all the bad feelings, and I know I was NOT a bad guy or wrong for asking you for my money back. We had a disagreement and that’s that. I’m VERY proud to STILL have a fine/clean reputation! I have done business with many big names in this hobby over many years, repeatedly, and all dealings have been A-OK! I deal with 100’s of others verbally and by email, sharing knowledge, experiences, buying-selling-trading, and I have ZERO problems with anyone, over anything!! Personal note, you mentioned my service to my country. I’m Retired U.S. Army and very PROUD of it. How dare you imply otherwise! Shame on you! Why would I lie about such an aspect of my life? How does or would a man lie about such a thing anyway, especially with our country at war for so many years? Where do you find a spot cold enough inside yourself to make such an uneducated insult against someone that served in the military? And moreover, why would you say such a thing anyway? Why? Quickly, my dealings with Manning, my family was out the snakes AND we lost our money! We lost BIG TIME!! Of course Manning and I were on the outs over that, obviously. Those were bad times, but was a long time ago, and I have nothing bad to say about Manning today. He & I do not know one another so I can’t judge him or speak ill of the man. People change, time has past, and the bad business he and I had is in the past as far as I’m concerned. I think, I think he and I spoke via email about snakes since then and things were civil.

Tom Pecanic, I’m not sure who you are so I have nothing against you. You and I do not know one another, do we? I’m not sure why you would have motivation to speak ill of me/us? Do you know my family and if not why would you work to do us harm? Have you and I ever done business? You stated “he’s still out there” as though I would have gone somewhere. I’m a proud member of my community as well as a proud member of the reptile community. Where would I go Tom? I’m at a complete loss as to why you’d act in such a lowly manner towards a man that you do not know, have never spoken to, never done business with. And with all-due respect, I believe I made an error. I mentioned Manning as the person that sent ill snakes and never refunded. I believe that to be a mistake. Robert, you mentioned his name and I spoke too soon. It was NOT Manning that did that, so I apologize. I'm not even sure why you mentioned Manning's name, and I hold firm on saying I have no problems with Manning still. We do not know each other so I have nothing to say against the man. You, he, nor anyone else can truthfully make any statement against my military service, so without going back to dig through old input, I'll just say that subject is a waste of time. I went to basic training at Fort Bliss Texas, was then stationed at Fort Bliss Texas for 8.5 years, then was active Reserve for more years, then called back to active duty and sent to Fitzsimons Army Medical Hospital to earn my 3rd MOS and aid with expected incoming injured and amputee soldiers. I was retired-disabled from my station in Colorado.
I must repeat, Manning did not do any form of bad business with me and I apologize for getting my lines crossed in this matter. I was wrong............time made my mind rusty. I'm still not sure why any of this crap was pulled from the grave anyway.

(Quick note regarding his claim to my fossils and crystal minerals. I've collected those for longer than he has been ALIVE! They are all 110% LEGAL, and I have sold 1000's of them to 1000's of individual collectors, small museums, universities, professors/teachers, home-schoolers, jewelers, craft/art designers, WITHOUT A SINGLE COMPLAINT IN 15 YEARS!!!! I say again, "15 years" not a single complaint! So again, this guy is merely looking for attention, and to spread his toxic HATRED!).

Finally, to the subject of me wanting to "buy litters". I can say that I have never bought an entire litter, yet, but I would. I'm not sure how to address this further, because I see nothing wrong if I or anyone else were to do so! There are plenty of individuals on fauna and kingsnake which openly advertise that they want to buy litters! Does that make them bad? I've bought small groups of snakes before, but strictly to give to my kids, so they could handle them, see them in-person, pick which specimens they like the best, and then they/we can sell specimens we decide to not retain. Does that make my kids bad? Likewise, I have personally sold entire litters, or groups of Boas, to other people/collectors, but what's wrong with that? Some people have the high-dollars it takes to buy a litter, or buy multiple snakes, but does that make them bad people? If the numbers (price) is right, and if a person wants to purchase an entire litter from me or anyone else, so be it. I should have +/- 9 litters dropping, if someone has the funds and wants to purchase an entire litter, by all means, drop me a line and I'll treat you like royalty

I'll close with saying it one last time, "THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING", with regard to my openness, honesty, and willingness to stand behind any/all business I/we conduct! If you do business with me, I do not disappear after the sale! I have lived in the same community for 25 years and have no intentions of moving!

Finally, to the subject of me wanting to "buy litters". I can say that I have never bought an entire litter, yet, but I would. I'm not sure how to address this further, because I see nothing wrong if I or anyone else were to do so! There are plenty of individuals on fauna and kingsnake which openly advertise that they want to buy litters! Does that make them bad? I've bought small groups of snakes before, but strictly to give to my kids, so they could handle them, see them in-person, pick which specimens they like the best, and then they/we can sell specimens we decide to not retain. Does that make my kids bad? Likewise, I have personally sold entire litters, or groups of Boas, to other people/collectors, but what's wrong with that? Some people have the high-dollars it takes to buy a litter, or buy multiple snakes, but does that make them bad people? If the numbers (price) is right, and if a person wants to purchase an entire litter from me or anyone else, so be it. I should have +/- 9 litters dropping, if someone has the funds and wants to purchase an entire litter, by all means, drop me a line and I'll treat you like royalty

Not sure what you're talking about. He tried to rip us off, and he got upset when he failed and paypal forced him to refund for snakes which he never sent to us. We did nothing but file a claim and get our money back. Get it?

He lied, created a story, attacked us. He called our home, cursed at my young daughters. Told us he was going to get on to fauna and create this B.S. story, and he did. It's really that simple.

My vet status has ZERO to do with it. I'm now 60% disabled, and it still has nothing to do with it. In fact, we're unsure why YEARS after he first started his lies, why he returned to insult us further. SO Weird huh?!

Either way, he's actually help us. I sold yet another snake today, 3rd one, due to his recent antics/lies, so this seems to be working out very well for us, in fact. I almost want to thank somebody

I've had NOTHING to do with this lair, in years. He's essentially absent from my life (thank goodness), and instead of arguing with his foolish-self, I can simply provide a list of 10, 20, 30+ people that I've done business with over the years that can/will speak to my honesty.

I stand behind each and every sale I make, every relationship I form, every word I speak. I can show the persons I've done business with, that I speak with on a "DAILY" basis, and my PEERS can/will speak to my PRESENCE, my HONESTY, my BLUNTNESS, and my DEDICATION, my ANIMALS.

Also, for the record, my daughter did not leave the hobby, as he falsely claimed! I did not leave the hobby, and in fact all '3' of my kids enjoy reptiles, and we maintain good, proper, honest, dedicated, and healthy relationships within the reptile community. Besides this clown trying to steal our money (then he became mean & spiteful when he could not steal our money) we continue to be present, visible, honest, direct, and continue to stand behind our actions. Period! This guy made it his mission to work to turn people against us. HE CALLED MY HOME AND CURSED OUT MY YOUNG CHILDREN! HE TOLD ME HE WOULD WORK TO "RUIN MY NAME".

Now, I will admit, honestly, openly, are there a few local people/relationships which had problems, which I DO TRULY regret! I regret not working harder to get along with and or repairing harsh words which should not have been stated from my direction. I should have held my tongue, and for that I am sorry. For those errors I stand-corrected and wish I could correct them. For those 'words', and 'regrets', and given the opportunity, I'd offer an honest' apology' to those few people for being overly brash and or quick-to-jump.

However, have I and or do I rip people off, NOT a chance!!!! Never! Find someone that I owe, you can't! That is the main difference between our family and Mcphee, he manipulates, lies, cheats, says what he can to get your money into his account, and then threatens to ruin your name here in the BOI if you rebut or retort to his threats and tactics. The FACT of the matter is, I have nothing to do with him, I want nothing to do with him, and if his life is this meaningless that he must drudge up a situation which "HE" purposely started and manipulated, in order to provide attention to himself, well, we actually feel sorry for him. We hope he seeks help for his personality shortcomings and bipolar conditions.

In the meantime, we will continue to keep and breed absolute quality Boas, and maintain and engage in healthy relationships within the reptile community. We will continue to stand behind each and every deal and or word we speak.

Nick, you do know that posting the same, long-winded, ego-driven post repeatedly doesn't cast you in a great light, right? I'm in no way defending Bob here, but your posts here are very indicative of all the contacts I've had with you. I think the best thing you can do if you don't plan on actually acknowledging anything is just to leave this alone. Otherwise, you just don't look good here.
