In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Now this just makes me sick...

I clicked out of it as soon as I saw the headline, I don't even want to know.

Wow. I'd have to move. No way I could stay in that house knowing someone cruel enough to do that could just walk right up any old time. The note, batteries and valentine candy too? Wow~ one sick son of a gun. She needs to move before her, her grandmother or her new dog disappear.

Wow, and the HSUS put up a whole $2500 as a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Considering the most recent IRS form I've seen of theirs listed their income at over 100 million dollars, that's sooo generous of them.

I may have to recant my vehement opposition I've held against them all these years......

That is the most disgusting thing...

My dog is my child. If anything like that would ever happen to him, so help me...

What goes through these peoples minds. Probably kids thinking it was a 'laugh' I agree with Cheryl, I couldn't live there knowing people like that knew who I was but could just be another face in the crowd for her. :(

WOW!! That made me cry!! I hope to god they find out who did this and I have some pretty good ideas for a punishment for them!!

Re: the original posting - disgusting and sick. I hope they find these twisted idiots and someone gives them a little "justice."

Re: barbie's addition - wow. I hope they throw the book at her.

That is just awful, for someone to do this to someone else is just sick. I think there are some people that have no good in them at all, this one would fall under those.

I think it's better to give up on people in general, then you aren't so so SO suprised when you hear news like this.

Still, that's very sad, and very disgusting. I can't really add anything that hasn't been said.

The thing about your feelings here Curtis is that there are some really good people out there. If you give up in general you will, or are more likely too, miss out on the good ones too.

It sucks. It's a tough call. Then it hurts when you're wrong. BUT, when it's right and you actually find a truly good person, it does help balance out all the crap you have to go through while not in that persons sphere of influence.

Good luck youngster, it's no easy road.

They obviously know this person who did this shit.

Paybacks CAN be hell

It's because of sick people like that, that I trained my aussie to stay away from people and strangers, and not to take food from anyone but me, or one of few people who he is allowed to trust. While some days I wish I could have a happy, friendly, 'stable' dog, but when I read a story like that, it makes me glad that I trained him to be so cautious of people. A friend of mine had a rottie and someone slipped a sharp object in some food and fed it to him. The vet successfully removed it, but the damage was so bad that he died shortly after they finished surgery. There are some horrible people out there who would do anything to an innocent animal just to spite you. I used to work at an animal shelter and I have even more horrible stories that are far too sick that I would not dare post.

Yep, totally agree with you Shannon. I had a lab pup that would bark at a guy in the back of my house (woods) if this guy was back there. The guy didn't like it as it scared off the deer (he hunts way to close to my home) and since he was still a pup hadn't yet been fully trained. Long story short, he was poisoned, we tried everything but he could not be saved, my kids were devastated as I was. We found out later that our pup was not the first dog to be poisoned by this guy who has gotten fines, we just could not prove it was him.
All my dogs know not to eat anything from strangers, it is just a very good thing to teach a dog.

Yeah, when I first read that article, I cried. I only live an hour from there, so it is scary to think just how close psychos really are. The fact that this was noted to the child by name, it is OBVIOUSLY someone the family knows, which just makes it worse to me. A sick stranger is one thing, a sick person you KNOW.. not good.

I have also had issues in the past with people getting near my dogs. When I was young we had some pups, and the neighbor gave them treats all the time. Someone that didnt like my family (because we are Native American and not white) sncuk poison into the dish the neighbors used .. ended up killing 2 of our puppies, and nearly 2 more.

it is sad to know there are people who get their jollies off this way. *cries*
