In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ohhh boy....

They wont monitor lizerds, beard dragoons and of course inguins! I'm worried...

Inguins? Is he trying to say "penguins"? Because then I want one too!
I actually like the sound of beard dragooooooooons though! "I'll trade you my dragoon for your inguin!" Maybe it'll catch on. ;)

Yeesh, some people though...
Believe it or not, I've actually seen worse on craigslist when it comes to monitors.

- One guy claimed to have an adult croc monitor for sale. No mistake. He described the species perfectly and said his animal was 6-7 feet long.
It came with it's own 50 gallon tank. :unhappy:

- Another guy was selling his ball python and 20 gal terrarium because he claimed he didn't have enough space or time for it and would be moving soon to a place that didn't allow any pets.
He then finished the ad by saying he ways open to trades for iguanas and monitors. :eek3:

- and the last one I remember was when I was selling a few extra odds and ends supplies: water bowls, hides, heat emitters etc for cheap. A guy messaged me asking me to go lower on the price, which I did. He then tried again wanting me to go ridiculously low (like not enough to pay for the gas to drive over and meet with him low) and which point I refused. He started whining (Literally. He typed "Pleez o pleez o pleeeeeez!") and begged me to go lower because he had two large water monitors (and a long list of other beasts) that really needed the supplies and he couldn't afford to go any higher. :nopity:

I'm thinking if you can't afford the $5 for a complete bundle of supplies, then you probably can't afford a water monitor. Also what was he using for heat, hides, and a water dish currently...? :no01:

I just don't get people sometimes. :notallthe

Is it supposed to be penguins or iguanas? Lol

People cracked me up!

Once I had a kid call me about a 5 month old ad for bearded dragons and asked me if i would trade him for a wild caught boa that he caught himself. I should have figured it out by the impossibility to understand what he was saying, but he lived in Puerto Rico. He wanted to ship and get shipped to. Tho kid was no more than 12 years old! I still couldn't grasp that someone called me from Puerto Rico for a 5 month old ad..
