In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info on record / Debbie Prince

It's just a suggestion and please don't think that I'm asking or telling anyone what to post. I don't think the tit- for- tat posts really helps anything or brings resolution any closer for the both of you.
There was an offer on the table to send a replacement she doesn't have the funds to send. There was a suggestion for the seller to sell the replacement instead of sending the animal. The buyer would receive the funds instead of another animal. Seems like the buyer would be satisfied getting their money back and the seller would be essential sending a replacement as she was willing to do but to someone else. Instead of continuing countering each others points in previous posts, how about working from that point and coming up with a time line to get it done? Just a suggestion.

I am willing to accept this offer . Thanks for the intervention .
Toni

Deb, working on the assumption that it's not IBD and you did send a healthy appearing snake.

Taking your word on the fact you sent a healthy snake (which at this point I have no reason to think your being untruthful about that fact) I would have to assume the snake was damaged in shipping. If that is the case and you don't have the funds to send, selling a snake in your current collection might be the best option considering she doesn't want to accept another from you. If you are willing to give her an established animal in your collection, I don't see any difference between sending it to her or selling it. It's just going to cost you a little time. I think she would rather not wait six months plus for you to sell a baby that hasn't been born yet.

The fact that this bp is acting like it is dictates that it be tested for IBD assuming is no good here. testing can hopefully remove doubts about this horrible health problem. not only for Debbie's and Toni's collection but everyone that has bought a bp out of Debbie's collection.

Why should Toni have to wait 6 months on an unborn hatchling?

The possibility of that hatchling having the genetic problems caramels carry is extremely high.

A refund is in order here.

Toni, had you waited to bring this to the BOI (and the Bush League, and wherever else you've posted this), you would have found that I would be amicable to selling one of my current snakes to get your refund. You offered this as a solution, and as I was reading the email from you - literally - I got the email from Harold alerting me to this thread. It would have been much easier to sell the replacement animal and get you your funds without this drama. Now, people have questions about IBD (which I'm quite sure I don't have) in both of our collections, people have said they'll never do business with me, hope my business crashes (on the Bush League, thanks Tosha) - how easy do you think it will be to sell said replacement animal now? :shootfoot

But yes, here for all the world to see, I am offering to - instead of giving you a replacement animal, sell said replacement animal and give you the funds instead. This is the SECOND time I have AGREED to one of YOUR solutions to this issue. However, I should ask - do I need to wait six months for QT so people can be assured that my collection is IBD free before selling said replacement, or is it OK if I do it now? Although as I mentioned above, it may take some time to sell another snake because you opted to bring all this drama to multiple forums before I had a chance to respond to your email suggesting this alternative solution, which I deem agreable.

Said funds will be sent to Toni after the replacement snake has been sold, the customer receives the snake, snake is alive and healthy (not needing to be returned and refunded), so no one else is unhappy. Does that work?

Seems to me that Debbie has tried to make the OP happy, even if it's taken extra time due to life's issues.
With offering a replacement, the OP would technically have BOTH snakes, one with the neuro issues, and one new one. Now that the replacement animal is going to be sold and the refund sent, they will have both the original damaged animal, and the money back.
That seems more than fair to me.

I completely agree...

Personally, I think this solution is a step beyond good CS.

debbie why didnt you start to get the funds together back when toni first said there was a problem then yoou would not be in this situation you should have told toni to send you the animal back and you would send her the money

I think Debbie went above and beyond.
Going back and picking is not constructive criticism. The purpose of this board is not to crucify, it is to find business solutions, and I personally think it was well done, here.

There is a lesson to be learned here that no one brought up... when I was selling geckos, I NEVER spent the customer's refund money UNTIL I was absolutely positive that they were satisified with the purchase. And in this case, where the customer had problems from the very get go, the refund money should have been kept available. It is not fair to the customer to have to wait for a refund... the seller didn't wait for the purchase money. Just my opinion.....

i dont want to see debbie go under but she should hav asked toni to send the snake back and sent her the money back that would have prevented
this entire thing and she should have held on to the money until she was sure toni was 100% happy with the snake

Going above and beyond is not blowing off your customer when there is a problem - life issues or not.

Going above and beyond is not changing your TOS after a bad transaction to cover your ass.

Going above and beyond is denying responsibility for two months until it becomes a BOI issue and peer pressure makes you do the right thing.

I agree with your thoughts. But this was worked out well, and I am hoping that the lesson will be learned without a lot of recrimination.

North Dakota, them's some cold winters, I hear.

This hasn't worked out well until the customer has received her refund - even then she will still be out all the vet fees.

Debbie ,
It is unfortunate that you continue to blame me . You have had since Feb 19th . I didn't do this to you .
Certainly, it is acceptable to me to receive a refund . The vet bill has not yet been paid either . I requested an invoice and should receive it next week . His estimate at this point is $200 . This is for the blood smears you recommended and baytril and cortisone injections as well as the vet qt her for us since Feb 27th .Euthanization and final biopsy of brain will be an additional $300 ..estimate from vet. My vet is working with Dr Jacobsen . We can have the answer much sooner than 6 months .

Do you still have my mailing address in your records ? I will be happy to send it to you if not .

Thank you ,
Toni

We really cannot risk endangering our collection again as per vet advice .This has also been very hard on my daughter and me emotionally and still is as we are burdened with the sick snake . Our vet costs are already around $200 . To find out if the snake has IBD the cost will jump up to $300 additionally .

There seems to be alot of premature back patting, atta girl etc etc.

I have seen no talk about refunding any vet costs Toni has incurred.

Toni needs to be refunded for the vet costs also.

If she is refunding your money, unless Debbie requested this, a biopsy is YOUR decision and YOU should pay for that.
