    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I find the bill of $327 for one month extraordinary. So the inpatient fees are about $10 a day, which leaves about $2 a day for intensive care all day from all the doctors and nurses? That's just boarding alone! Where do the lab tests come into play? Are daily inpatient fees not being charged? I agree...either somebody's really cutting themselves short, or something isn't right here. :X
 
Getting my dog tested at the vet for a skin scrape, basic in-house test, cost me well over $300... WITH my 20% discount.
The snake has been at the vet for 6 weeks?

I would like ANY documented case of a ball python surviving with IBD for "months" without symptoms. I was told by several people including one of the premeir vets who identified IBD that it does not happen. Once contracted, ball pythons begin showing symptoms and dying in a short time frame(1 month give or take a couple weeks). Boas do not, and can carry IBD.

I asked Randal to elaborate and give references to his statement but I dont think he has.

Debbie needs to take care of the 327 in vet bills she requested or should I say insisted upon and advised . In her last post she even says that she refused to take care of the situation til it was done . If you refer back to the emails the day after the animal went to the vet....she advises the blood smears .
I called her from the vet that night after her phone # was finally tracked down since she had changed her whole webpage and removed it...and would not send it to me when I emailed her....I told her what the vet said and that he advised us not to take the snake home...she refused to take it back . The next day she emailed me and said to do the blood tests .

I am not willing to accept any less than that ....and I would really appreciate any further info...especially from Randal on the statement he made .

And the only thing I've seen from the vet is a letter that was written before any tests had been performed, also implicating overheating, which also causes these symptoms.

Are you telling me that you're taking this vague vet letter to "Whom it may concern" as a final diagnosis? :rolleyes:

After she had the snake for a full month, she finally takes it to a vet?

I call BS.
 
If you were so concerned about the health of the snake after having it for a week, even perhaps two, you should have made arraingments for it to be returned and for your money to be refunded.

This snake, for all I can read here, could have been cooked to death in your own rack by a faulty thermostat for all I know.

Debbie may be overly generous to return your money, take it while you can, if it's still there.

Not sure about the breakdown . They said they mailed me the statement today and I should get it in a day or so .My scanner is down so when I call him tomorrow I will ask him to scan it and email it to me if he doesnt mind .

I have read the thread, thanks for patronizing me, that always makes points.

The only thing I've seen from a vet says that it was overcooked. Personally, a month after receiving it, you could have cooked it.

IMO, This is a bad buyer thread as far as I see.

Yeah -- you really should read the thread -- because you don't seem to know what went on. The snake was twisting out of the box - the seller lied and said it was shipping stress and to give it a few days -- after learning it couldn't be shipping stress Toni tried to return it for a refund -- seller told her she'd get nothing without a vet report so she took it to the vet.

I would love to hear the breakdown...it just seems compleatly different from what I do here in S. FL...exotic animal medicine is my specialty, and i'd love to hear as much input as possible. Thanx for asking him about it.

I am not trying to win points . Your statement makes no sense and you should go back and read the thread . We are well past this . I cant go back over this with everyone who comes on and reads a piece of it and then posts something inaccurate . No one anywhere on here is saying it was a month dude . Its established it was already damaged when taken out of the box. She has refused to take it back all this time til just now .
I mean you come on and post that you think it is all my fault and I am a liar. you should read the thread..any thread before giving your opinion ...you dont just come on and start calling people liars

I am not sure what I didnt answer . She needs to send a refund for 1500 plus vet costs of 327 .
Will get the invoice in a few days....maybe he can email me a copy tomorrow since his scanner works and mine doesnt .

No, actually, I'm saying that you could have. I said I could probably replicate your pictures without chemicals.

It would be an interesting experiment. I'll post results by the weekend. During that time, why don't you post the results of the blood tests.
