In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Oops for Crickets!

Hopefully somebody besides me has done this before. Well four days ago I gave my Cricket colony a dry dish of very healthy Cheerios and a wet food dish of sliced green Pear pieces and something else...I forget. I wasn't paying attention for three days and it molded. So they were eating mold for three days until last night I finally saw it and changed it. I gave them orange slices dusted with T-Rex gutload and ReptaCal Calcium. They have eaten more good stuff then bad stuff. So my question is are they still ok to feed to the Critters? I was thinking...whats bad about Mold? I know Mold on food creates Penicillin.

Why did you allow your animals to eat moldy food for three days?
Have you now removed it or are they still eating it?

She forgot and noticed it last night.

I'm not sure, myself, Kristin, sorry. I don't know if I'd personally risk it, though.

Not sure why you saw fit to answeer a question that was asked of her?

Chris he only answered what I had already written in my post. I also said I didn't mean to let it get moldy. I wasn't paying very good attention to them, the past three days have been more about my Rats. Its also the first time this has happened and I will make sure it doesn't again. Thanks for your response CurtisF. :) Chris stop attacking people for no reason.

You got rude with Curtis for no reason. *Sigh* This is getting old and I want to be a part of a Forum where people are friendly. I think its time to start looking for a different Forum. People aren't like this on the Arachnoboards.

Penicillin is a LOT different than unrefined mold. I would make sure they are eating clean food for at least a few days before feeding them off.

kristin, in all seriousness, not attacking you at all, do you have ADD? If you're not sure, you may want to look into it.

Kristin people can be a little harsh at times, it really isn't just this forum. If you want to ask question and feel afraid to do so write to me just use the link here or PM here. I agree with Cat keep feeding clean food for a few days.

I wonder if i start all my sentences to her " not intentionally attacking",or "not trying to be rude".Maybe she might like me.
I see and read other posts that are much more derogatorily aimed at her that use those terms, yet she's not upset by them, and they are a direct attack on her.The only thing i can gather is happens unbeknowenst by the intended bulls eye.Go figure. :shrug01:

They all upset me but I try to ignore the most of them.
Now, judging by this fragment of a sentence, I am guessing you're talking about the voices.

Do all the voices upset you or do some just tell you to do things?

Nah, I only dislike the voices in my head when they tell me to be nice! I LOVE it when they have me imaging of splitting his head open and mushing his brain particles and ripping his intestines out with bare hands feeling the warm blood drip down my arm as my eyes roll and I am smiling. The kind of daydreams where there are ZOMBIES!! Now thats fun! :)

Not animals, crickets. They are bugs which are going to be fed off to something eventually any way.

Did you read the first post?

Now, the questioning of someone's mental capabilities or stability is completely unnecessary to the general public here (if you wanna be a jerk, go to HELL and play) when she asked a very specific question. She admitted she made a mistake, and she wanted to know if everything will be ok with her colony.

Now Leighanne, I have made this mistake before as well when I used to keep cricket colonies. It is doubtful that it was a full three days with mold on the moist food (unless of course you keep your crix at warmer temperature which would cause the fruit to mold faster). Cat is 100% correct that there is a big difference between household molds and Penicillin. I also agree with her statements to wait a few more days (I would think a week total) before useing them for feed for your animals just to make sure the mold is out of there system.

I also hope you choose to stick around. Anywhere you have to take the good with the bad, but I hope with the changes made recently we will be seeing more good then bad. :)

Still doesn't change the fact that the post reply implied that it was her actual pets and not a feeder insect. :NoNo:

I'm going to choose to take that to mean "Oh yeah, you're right Seamus, crickets ARE animals. I used the wrong words to convey my thought, thanks for pointing out the technical error in my post. I wouldn't want to accidently misinform an impressionable individual because I selected words that meant something other than what I was attempting to communicate."

I think you are reading way too much into a single sentence when you did not quote the entire original sentence which states the following:

Not animals, crickets. They are bugs which are going to be fed off to something eventually any way.
