AS SOON AS HE TOLD ME THE SNAKE WAS DEAD, I OFFERED THE WORTH AND SHIPPING FEE ($300) AS WELL AS I OFFERED THAT OR THE SNAKES HE SENT ME TO BE SENT BACK. BUT HE REFUSSED BOTH OFFERS AND DEMANDED OUT OF ME SOMETHING ELSE. SOMETHING I COULD NOT GIVE HIM. Since you already lied about how he shipped the snakes, why are we to simply take your word for anything?

Since the snake left the seller's property safe, alive, and packaged properly. All garentees are void. Check any major breeder's site. I promise you 90% of them will have the same thing stated in the Terms and Condition section of thier site.

Did you type that with a straight face??? Please, show me ONE reputable breeder who states that in their TOS.

And let me ask you this.....if you had shipped the hognose first, and it had arrived safe and sound, but he shipped you 2 dead Ball Pythons, would you just shrug it off since they left his property "safe and sound"?

Brian posted earlier in this thread that he would take the two snakes back. If it were me and I had shipped someone a snake in a trade, and it died, I would just ship their snakes back to the. I don't think it matters at all what each person was asking monetarily for the animals, nor what value they put on them now. They did an even trade, period.

I will take my snakes back just to end this whole situation, but will not pay for the shipping. I would really be in the hole if I had to pay for shipping. They weighed 7lbs with the box and snakes.

I would think that in this case shipping would factor into the total value, as Stephanie had her animal posted for 300 shipped. The other end of the deal had a value of 325, and shipping was paid on top of that.
If Stephanie doesn't cover the initial shipping cost, and the cost of return shipping, then Hum707 here is basically paying $80 to be in the same position he started in. Why should he have to be in the hole to have his snakes back? He didn't do anything wrong. His animals arrived alive. His snakes didn't die in shipping. I think anyone would be pissed to have to pay $80 to be in the same place they were before they even made the first email to offer a deal.

No you have a point, entirely. and i do agree. I was mistaken when i figured that the 300 was just the snakes value and not including shipping. My Mistake, i apologize.

The Shipping for those animals should be covered.

I didnt say I was lieing, I never admited to how he shipped the way he claimed he did. I am simply trying to get to a more important issue. So why dont we stop beating this dead horse already?

I had mistakenly thought that the shipping was just not being mentioned, and why i felt that way, But davey was talking to me in chat, and i read his post and i entirely agree Its late

It's the cost of doing business. Stuff happens sometimes; it sucks but your reputation is worth far more than the $63.

If Brian wanted to make a nice gesture (I would probably do this), he would offer to pay for half of the shipping costs, but i don't feel he is obligated by any means to do so.

If he agrees to that, then you should stop your whining! Personally, I think you should not only have to pay to ship his snakes back, but also refund the money he spent on shipping them to you in the first place. He sent you what you wanted and in return you sent him nothing. Who cares what you are out in the deal? You sent him NOTHING. It was a dead snake, but might as well have been an empty box. You have the responsibility. You are the one who killed a snake. "God help these poor snakes"?!?! Indeed, if YOU are shipping them, they need all the help they can get.

Im also obligated to get my supposedly dead snake back too. Which I will want of course. Im sure thats not too much to ask. Just to make sure its acctually dead. Everyone has to take percausions.

Stephanie drop the attitude you showed up here with it and it is only hurting you. Now you did state the guy sent the animals USPS but seem to have backed away from that claim now that proof he shipped FedEx was provided to everyone. That makes you look bad.

Both of you are a bit short on proof, saying something over and over doesn't prove anything. The picture of the dead animal looks to be the one sent by Stephanie though you were denying it before there is no doubt it is the same.

Until both parties are satisfied the trade isn't complete, now Steph being a horses patootie is besides the point she only owes Brian the return of his animals in the same condition she received them, shipped at her expense. Yeah Steph if they die before he gets them you still lose. (Tape the heat pack to the top inside of the box so the snake can't get on it and bake) Tomorrow is Wed. ship the snakes to him tomorrow or wait till Monday to ship them but ship the guy his animals and be done with this.

Steph you have done your reputation some harm in this deal and what your buddies over on RTB forum have or had to say doesn't matter seeing as you were not very truthful with your Friends. Far more people will see this thread here than any thread over there. So do the right thing and get this over and done with.

Brian it is an Internet world these days so it might be in your interest to get someone to show you how to work the puter IE cut and paste ETC ETC . Also though I like fishing and going out to eat ETC if I want to be taken very seriously in a situation like this I get what is needed when it is needed. Can't expect Steph to jump to it when you are off fishing.

This wouldn't have needed to come here if both parties would have tried to be reasonable.. Randy

So....even with him having proven that they were shipped Fedex, you still won't admit you lied about him shipping USPS? YOU didn't say you were lying....everyone else did, because you ARE.

And it IS indeed an important issue for more than one reason, the least of which not being that it shows you are not above lying, therefore making questionable any further information you give.

And I'm still waiting to see a reputable breeder who has the "it left my house safe and sound so all guarantees are void" clause in their contract. Shouldn't be too hard to find, if 90% of them have it in there.
