Yeah for those that haven't yet figured out that she doesn't have an approved shipping account with FedEx to ship snakes, now you know.

She pretty much admitted that back when she posted that she "never signed a waiver agreeing that there was no guarantee on live animals shipped through FedEx".

Stephanie.....I think you just need to take a step back and take a long hard look at the way you are going about a LOT of things here.

First and foremost.....things can and do go wrong when dealing with live animals, whether it be reptiles or batnams (yep, I've raised both myself). While we don't want to see it happen, when these things do go wrong, we need to stand up and admit our mistakes, and make things right, as hard as it can be to swallow our pride and do so. Telling lies and half truths only makes things worse, and makes things change from a mistake to something much worse. Buck up, admit your wrongs, and do what it takes to make it right.

Secondly...quarantine. From what I can recall, there really are some good reasons to have quarantine procedures in place with your bantam flocks, but I think it is even more prudent to have STRICT quarantine procedures with your snakes. Putting new snakes in separate high-traffic rooms is no better than having no quarantine at all. Try doing some research on IBD...or take a read through Jen Harrison's thread about respiratory virus on the Ball Python forum here, that will give you a good start as to why we must do this. Honestly, I would not want those Ball Pythons back from you for this reason, it is nothing personal to you. I would only take a cash payment.

And third, coming from someone who has worked the night shift myself for many years, and the parent of 2....I just can't understand your logic. If your hubby/boyfriend/whatever works nights.....there's no reason you and your kids can't be on a normal schedule. If he sleeps til 3 pm, you have most of the afternoon and evening to spend with him. So you get your 3 year old to sleep til 3 pm while you sleep and your 6 year old is at school....what does your 6 year old do on days she doesn't have school? What is she going to do during the summer? Really, your boyfriend being "lonely" on weekends is no reason for you and your children to have to follow his schedule. He's a big boy, and can take care of himself (I would assume...), your children cannot. Think it through.

And try to understand what point folks are getting at when they are saying you are foolish to have spent that $300 on more snakes. If you are living that close to paycheck-to-paycheck that an $80 shipping fee will make or break you for a week, you really do need to look at what you are doing. Your "wants" as a breeder or collector or whatever you fancy yourself to be became secondary when you became a MOTHER. Your kids should be coming first.....not your "have to have it" snakes, not your boyfriend. If there was an emergency, and you needed say, $300 worth of medications for one of your kids, what would you do? Was buying that snake REALLY the most important thing you had to worry about?

All of this adds together and paints an outsider a poor view of what we are looking in at.....and your still refusing to admit to any of your mistakes just compounds it. Step back for a bit and try to look through OUR eyes, and see what it looks like. Then step up, and do your best to make ALL of these things right. Not because you care what any of us strangers here think, but because it is the RIGHT THING TO DO.

Hey Muffy, you see what Webslave posted? You better take that serious, for your sake and your children's. You think I like being cruel? I'm cruel to be kind because I've been around long enough to know most people like you just don't get it and kindness just doesn't work. You need to get it. You need to get it together and make some major changes. The way you think, the way you eat, the way you sleep. Or just do what you want, but don't be peeing and moaning how this place sucks and how it doesn't work. The BOI as stated by many others I know. Has gone down hill. Its no longer important. And as many have told me, they dont hold a grain of slat to any of the things posted here.

Those people that Might PM you or Talk to you telling that the BOI is of no use are FULL to the brim, theyre freakin swimming in it!! wanna know why?! because they were probably in the same position as you, and couldnt handle the heat because they were unwilling to resolve the problems they had caused. They say its not useful because it didnt win them THEIR side of the argument/case/situation, and got their REAL selves brought to light.

the reason this board works, and always will, is because it shows people for who they really are, and then people can base their purchasing/selling decisions on what they read. Sure, there might be alot of repetitive and useless posts, but the core function is still there.

Those that you speak of say it dosnt work, but i can tell you, im betting about half, (heck probably more!) of the people that just read this thread these past few days have come to their own conclusions on sales, and purchases for the future. Hows that for not working?

And im betting that the people that say this site is full of it, have probably been on these boards in the same manner, as i said before. maybe not all, but im willing to guess a few of them. ( or they are friends with ones who have been here)

Maybe you should get you and your kids on a normal schedule and get some more sleep. I've spent hours reading 80 pages of your insane blabber, and now I can't get that Buck Cherry song out of my head for the life of me. After reading your nonsense I have a vivid picture in my head of your life in your shack and it makes Kenny's family from Southpark look refined and proper. Like, Kurt Russell's family in Overboard. It takes a special kind of person to have the delusions you must be living with daily to post the things you do. Get some sleep, get some help, then get a job. A family of four in a 700' sq. house with animals in every room including the kitchen? Just out of curiosity, I went back and read some older posts after that link.

Last Summer

Well I got bit for the first time today by my 1 year old red tail female. I dunno exactly what caused her attack. I was reaching in her container, was gonna take some pics for a friend. About time I touched her she turned around and leached onto me. She wouldnt let go either. Wraped up my arm and clung for dear life. I didnt try to pull her off, I knew those teeth was sinked in like hooks and so instead, I took her to the bathroom and poored some cold water over her from the sink. She didnt like that at all and declinged herself from me. I then took her back to her container and put her inside. She got me from the first nuckle on my bird finger, all the way down to the 2nd nuckle down the bird finger. Now I got a pin needled mouth pattern and a bruised nuckle to show for it. What am I suppose to do with the snake? Are they always biters after the first time? Is there something I should do or is she a lost cause and doomed to forever be an agressive snake?

Maybe some day I can find out what gender my snakes are and try to find a mate for them and have my own little babies from them.

Breeder for eight years? Noway!
