In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

OukanJordan/Sadisticmuffin/Stephanie Hawkins BADGIRL

I have had animals including reptiles since I can't remember. I worked with conservationists raising salmon and pacific giant salamanders when I was in grade school. I had a monkey tailed(Solomon Island prehensile tailed) skink from the time I was 7-15. We ended up giving it to a guy who was breeding them and releasing them into the wild(in the Solomon islands of course), because they were going extinct at the time. My dads best friend owned a big pet store down south in the 80's called "Circus Circus". They supplied animals for the movies in Hollywood. Ever heard of "Attack Of The Killer Bees", he had these ladies that sat around clipping off thousands of stingers off of the bees for that movie.
I mean she can try to make me look as bad as she wants and it just makes her look worse. She would have been better off just keeping her mouth shut from the beginning.
She was so adamant in trying to defend herself that she brought up lies to make herself look better and got caught in her lies. Tell the truth from the beginning and then you won't have to cover your ass every time someone talks to you. Eventually you will get caught every time and look like an idiot. I learned this when I was 10yrs old.
All I have to say is that this was an awesome experience(as I am new to the internet). This has opened up a whole new world for me. My friend Steve has been going to herp shows since the late 70's and has met so many people. He is one of my mentors. Spit out any scientific name and this guy will tell you what it is, where it came from, and the whole history of it. The guy is a savant, no joke!
Thanks again and I will keep everybody informed on the situation. Once it is resolved I will post here that I got my snakes back and that they are healthy.
Anybody interested in 1.0het clown and a 0.1normal. I am looking specifically for hognose snakes(nasicus or lystrophis).

Just remember to keep The snakes you get back away from the rest of your collection. Sadistic Muffin farms does not practice quarentine procedures.

Do what you want but I think you're insane for taking those snakes back. I wouldn't want them back. If I couldn't get a cash refund I would just walk away and eat the loss.

I'll tell you also that I don't think anyone is going to be much interested in trading for them or purchasing them in the near future. You're going to have to sit on them for a long while. Even then whoever might be interested will probably find this thread if they search for you and realize who's hands they were in. Be real smart to have quarantine records and a vet report handy to show they are both in outstanding health.

After all that has been posted about her setup for her animals you are taking one helluva risk even having that package dropped at your doorstep. I wouldn't open that box within a mile of my house.

Good luck....you're gonna need it.

I tend to agree with Bill. How awful would it be if the snakes come back with something that wipes out every herp you have?

And more sadly....lots of folks that have lost entire collections haven't even had such a luxury of the evident warning signs that have been presented here.

No worries, I have a vet on hand and I have a special room that isn't located near any of my other herps. I will keep them in there for a year if I have to.
My vet is one of my partners sisters so I can run fecals and do some swabs of every kind. Luckily it won't cost me a thing and I know how sterile technique works. I used to grow mushrooms and sterility is #1.

Special room, vet, doesn't matter IMO.

I would want cash sent as compensation.

I wouldn't let ANYTHING from her near my collection no matter how careful I could be. Who knows what will come back with those snakes. :shrug01:

There is no way I am getting any money out of her. If I don't get the snakes I won't get anything. I don't want her to be able to keep them. I have a friend who doesn't have any snakes, he was asking me if I could set him up and I think he just got a good opportunity. If they don't die I can just get some babies off of him that are possible hets. Then if they still don't die I can breed the possible hets back the het male and produce some clowns. That way the snakes don't even need to come to my house.

Look, Just bring them to a vet once you get them back. Have a fecal and whatever else you need to have done, done. If it comes up clear, Then place them in quarantine for as long as you feel you need. if there is something up with them, ( i wont be jumping the gun on this, just take precautions....) Then have them treated and place them in quarantine. I wouldnt give them to your friend until you were 100% sure they are healthy and safe.

if he gets them back alive.... lets not forget how a breeder of 8 years packs and ships these snakes....

I agree. And I would think through sending them to a friend, what if something happened? Is he paying money for them, or shipping costs?

What's sad about this whole situation is that Stephanie keeps posting and posting and posting, yet she keeps digging her self a deeper hole.. I find it rather amusing that a breeder/collector for 8 years doesnt have a clue as to what they're doing.. using their kitchen as a quarantine, shipping snakes via USPS or UPS because FedEx in her area just drops packages... spends $300 on a boa LESS than a week ago (5 days actually) when she complains that she's got a $400 house payment and bills due this coming week....

Yet she complains that her name is being slammed around the BOI when she in fact posted on RTB first making brian look like he's the jerk in the whole deal... ffs.. she cant even get her stories straight and is constantly adding detail upon detail to them..

Stephanie.. if you want ask others over at RTB a question as to what you should do about a hypothetical situation, then fine... ask them, but leave the name game out of it. RTB isnt a BOI based site, as it used more for getting information on snake care and husbandry...Morti already closed the first thread you posted there in questions to the deal between you and brian and told you and others to come here and discuss things, yet you went back to RTB a second time to stir the pot up, totally disregarding anything the mods said.

Besides if you think the BOI has done nothing but tarnish your name and reptuation, well guess what sistah.. you did that all on your own by not taking care of the situation between yourself and Brian. All you've been doing is sitting there give excuse upon excuse as to why you cant ship Brian's snakes back or send him his $400... which btw you should be compensating for both the animals and his shipping.

Just do us all a favor...
A. get yourself a proper quarentine room AWAY from the kitchen and children...

B. Learn how to properly pack snakes for shipping.. if you dont know refer to here: How to properly ship reptiles

C. Stop trying to make yourself look like you're being victimized by Chuck.. it's not his fault that he points out the obvious.

(BTW.. Donnie is right.. he's ugly in pictures.. but OMG he's worse in person.. hahaha )

He lives about 7 miles away from me. I can stop by there whenever I want to check on them. I will have a tank already set up over there and as soon as the snakes show up I will take them to his house.

Dude, you are not paying attention. You don't want to visit your friend to check in on them. You don't want to come in contact with them at all and then come in contact with your collection. I wouldn't even allow him to come to your house while they were in quarantine and checked by a vet.

I'm not saying you're a bad guy, but at this point I wouldn't get involved in a trade or transaction with either you or muffy. I don't think anyone would.

Brian,

You may want to take precautions as anyone does with new arrivals. Buy a box of disposable gloves and disinfectant and that would do. Reality check: when we take our reptiles to the vet we don't ask him/her to take a bath or change his clothes between patients. Reality is that his clinic is probably the worst place to be in when it comes to the possibility of contracting any ailment. Exercising caution as with any potentially sick animal should be enough. Hope you can have them shipped soon. :)
