SadisticMuffin said:Yes I'm browsing the forum. Do I get my own paparazzi now? Anywho I come to post an update since tomorrow is the day I'm sending the snakes. I checked the weather last night and it is going to be snowing Monday mixed with rain later in the day. I told Brian this and asked him if he still wanted me to send the balls on Monday since it is not the best idea to ship in those temperatures and he told me to ship anyways. So hopefully they will make it there alive. I am taking weight checks on each snake and videoing them going into the box along with pictures this time so that I can have proof I do know how to ship and do, do it right. Hopefully this will help clear my reputation some around the BOI. I just wish that Brian would have let me ship them back in the beginning instead like I wanted too so I wouldn't have had to deal with all this.[/QUOTE
And if the bi-color arrived alive then we wouldn't have had to deal with any of this.
If you really know how to ship then they should be fine! Right?

Its going to be below 30 degrees. I don't consider that a good temperature to send snakes in. But my arm is kind of twisted. If I decide to not send them against your request then I'm still considered a bad person. If they die cause of the cold weather, either way I lose. Which is why I'm posting this in here. To show I do care and that I have brought this to your attention.
That's right! I have never had a problem. Knock on wood!SPJ said:Send it first overnight thru Fed Ex. This way it will arrive no later than 8:30am. Watch the tracking and step in if anything goes different than planned. They will expedite things since they kinow you are shipping live snakes if there is a delay. Also, if you pack correctly, shipping in 30 degrees should not be a problem. I have used the first overnight option in cold temps and it worked great. Pack accordingly.

Chameleon Company said:Stephanie,
If someone mentioned heatpacks, I missed it. If not, and your are unsure there, not being a regular shipper you likely do not have a supply from one of the on-line distributors. In your neck of the woods, Wal-Mart likely still carries them as "hand-warmers" in the hunting supplies area of the store. They often don't have ones lasting more than 12 hours, but they are inexpensive, and you can wrap each in a couple of paper towels to slow down its activation, and make it last a bit longer. Tape them securely inside what is hopefully an insulated box. If all this was mentioned elsewhere, its still quicker for me to type this than to read 50-80 posts. Good luck with all.
