In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well it is countdown time. Today is the 12th of April and there are two days till I should have a tracking number. She can post the number on here if she wants. That way there is no doubt in anyones mind that she sent the snakes. She said it right here on the BOI that she was sending them on the 14th.

She is surfing the BOI as we speak...

Yes I'm browsing the forum. Do I get my own paparazzi now? Anywho I come to post an update since tomorrow is the day I'm sending the snakes. I checked the weather last night and it is going to be snowing Monday mixed with rain later in the day. I told Brian this and asked him if he still wanted me to send the balls on Monday since it is not the best idea to ship in those temperatures and he told me to ship anyways. So hopefully they will make it there alive. I am taking weight checks on each snake and videoing them going into the box along with pictures this time so that I can have proof I do know how to ship and do, do it right. Hopefully this will help clear my reputation some around the BOI. I just wish that Brian would have let me ship them back in the beginning instead like I wanted too so I wouldn't have had to deal with all this.

Sending back the snakes in the condition you recieved them would be a good step towards that. Stopping the excuses for not dealing with this situation better would be another great step.

Good luck with the shipping! Be careful with those poor little guys.

Sadistic Muffin, Is that you??
It hardly sounds like you. No typos???

And it sounds like you have a plan too.

I am pleasantly surprised!!

And if the bi-color arrived alive then we wouldn't have had to deal with any of this.
If you really know how to ship then they should be fine! Right?

Lets just hope they make it ok there in these temperatures. I'm frankly worried to be honest. If I wasn't I wouldn't have sent you that email asking if your opinion on it. Its going to be below 30 degrees. I don't consider that a good temperature to send snakes in. But my arm is kind of twisted. If I decide to not send them against your request then I'm still considered a bad person. If they die cause of the cold weather, either way I lose. Which is why I'm posting this in here. To show I do care and that I have brought this to your attention.

Send it first overnight thru Fed Ex. This way it will arrive no later than 8:30am. Watch the tracking and step in if anything goes different than planned. They will expedite things since they kinow you are shipping live snakes if there is a delay. Also, if you pack correctly, shipping in 30 degrees should not be a problem. I have used the first overnight option in cold temps and it worked great. Pack accordingly.

That's right! I have never had a problem. Knock on wood!

Stephanie,
If someone mentioned heatpacks, I missed it. If not, and your are unsure there, not being a regular shipper you likely do not have a supply from one of the on-line distributors. In your neck of the woods, Wal-Mart likely still carries them as "hand-warmers" in the hunting supplies area of the store. They often don't have ones lasting more than 12 hours, but they are inexpensive, and you can wrap each in a couple of paper towels to slow down its activation, and make it last a bit longer. Tape them securely inside what is hopefully an insulated box. If all this was mentioned elsewhere, its still quicker for me to type this than to read 50-80 posts. Good luck with all.

I have a 40 hour heat pack. I ordered it a week ago along with a new box. Thanks for the suggestion though. I plan to use it.

I'm not sure where you checked your temperatures but according to weather.com they should be in the low 50's during the day for your area.

Mon
Apr 14

Rain / Snow Showers
51°
39°

Please be sure to tape the heat pack to the top of the box, not underneath the snakes. Just tape it around the edges, so it can still get oxygen needed for it to work properly.

It hasn't even been that cold. We have been having some warm days and nights. For the last couple of mornings it has maybe gotten down below 50 degrees. Our weather men/women around here smoke too much pot. They say it will be raining and you can guarantee it will be a hot sunny day.
