I'm pretty sure Outback Reptile's is scamming people. They are coming up with fake morphs and selling them for high prices. Lying and are only in the reptile business for money. That's it. I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but I know for a fact that they are scamming people. 2 years ago I purchased a gravid female Savannah Monitor from them, I got it and it was small and had NO eggs. That's just ONE thing. The main thing that made me post this was their so called "Pastel Savannah Monitor"
Well I guess it isn't a fact as you stated in your opening post to this thread that Outback is scamming people. You purchased a possibly gravid female Savannah monitor placed it with your other Savannah without a quarantine period, in a dreadful setup. Other than your caging being a deathtrap for one monitor adding another only amplified the poor conditions. It's not surprising the female you purchased didn't eat and also not surprising your original Sav went off feed. I will try and keep the Husbandry of monitors to a minimum as this is a BOI thread. By your own admission a month or so later you were given a refund for the monitor you purchased from Outback, so where is the scam? Due to your level of experience I'm sure it didn't cross your mind that the female could of had growing follicles prior to you purchasing her. Thus giving off the impression that she was gravid and why she was being advertised as such. Then most likely the female resorbed the follicles prior to ovulation or calcification. Anyway your claim of a scam is unjust as you were fully compensated for the monitor 2 years ago!
I'm surprised you need all the proof. All you need to do is look at their posts. I'm surprised most of you don't know about how bad they are. I looked through my emails and I can't find the old emails from 2 years ago.
The reason why we need proof is because it is not uncommon for someone to post a Bad Guy Thread on the BOI about someone else that is untrue, as in this case! Even if you found the emails they wouldn't support your claim as you have already stated you returned the animal for a refund. So I completely understand why you scoff at the request of proof because you have none.
The next quote answers your question! So they get to get away with it?
What are they getting away with, exactly? If the pictures are accurately representing the animal, and someone wants to spend $1700 on it, that's not a scam.
Here is a post by Devin himself that states he brought his animal back to us and got his money back. (Would have been a month or two after he got the animal as well since he met us at the White Plains show in New York).

Our adds clearly describe the animals we sell and no W.C animal is listed as being a morph or genetic unless it is either a proven morph (i.e desert, yellow belly ghost, etc) that we have brought in from a shipment and know the animal is genetic.
The savannah in question was not a normal savannah the color on that animal was very visual, and even better looking in person. We bring in around 1500-2000 savannah monitors a year between babies and adults and have not seen any normal that have the colors of that animal.
This thread appears to be nothing more than a kid with questionable experience trying to start a pissing match, over something he had no clue about.
Yes everyone, that was awhile back, things have changed extremely here. If anyone from back then reads this, I apologize for being stubborn. The reason I waited two years was because I don't like starting things up like this. I mean Josh is threatening me with reporting me about selling native animals, when I indeed do have a permit and it is not his business, it's very unprofessional, instead of dealing with what I have been messaging him about he decided to bring up something he thought I was doing wrong. I wish I could provide the proof but now I realize it's just not worth it. If people like Josh want to do these things then more power to them. It is just upsetting seeing where the hobby is going. Outback is just notorious for these AMAZING animals they import and over price. I just know what it's like to get ripped off and wanted others to possibly see it... But a post I guess just isn't enough... :/ Sorry for bothering anyone... You can delete this if you'd like. I don't care anymore.
So now we get to the real reason why you created this thread and it had nothing to do with your purchase and return of the monitor 2 years ago. This thread was created because Josh believes that you are doing something illegal and threatened to report you. What I can decipher from your post above is that you contacted Josh trying to sell him or trade him animals that you collected in the wild in which a permit is required. When you were turned down or asked to provide proof of your permit you couldn't produce one. Hopefully Josh will chime back in on this to clarify some of these points. But I'm guessing you tried more than once to sell these wild caught possibly illegal reptiles to Josh more than once. Or you didn't like that he turned you down and you proceeded to try and make the deal, and to get you to drop the matter he threatened to turn you in so you would go away. Of course I am speculating on the specifics since you would rather not give the whole true story. Another reason why proof is so valuable on the BOI and supplying as much information about the allegations as possible. If not you leave it to us to fill in the blanks and let me tell you it doesn't look good for you so far. Your other baseless claim is that Outback doesn't care about the animals and only the money. I find this extremely humorous considering Josh turned away from your deal because your animals are most likely illegally collected. Definitely sounds like someone doesn't care about the animals and I'll give you a subtle hint, IT'S YOU! From your lack of quarantine, awful caging that offers no support for your monitors, to possibly and most likely collecting wild caught animals illegally to sell, make a profit on, you know make money without the concern of the animals.
And you didn't wait 2 years to make this post about being scammed by Outback (which you weren't) because you don't like starting things up like this. You were pissed at Josh for turing down your animals because he believed them to be illegally caught, and he threatened to turn you in. This pissed you off and since you really don't have a leg to stand on, you created this thread about a purchase 2 years ago in which you were refunded. But it's clearly evident your only purpose was to tarnish or hurt Josh and Outback because he called you out on your shady wild caught animals you're trying to sell. In your posts you ask why we need proof and to just look at Outback's ad's as it's proof enough. Well I'm sorry that isn't any proof that backs up your claims of them scamming anyone and especially not you! No one is forcing anyone to buy their animals and as long as they're honest with their description they can sell them for whatever price they want. If you think they're asking to much for an animal go buy from someone else, it's as simple as that!
Also about it not being his business whether you have a permit or not, again you're wrong it's very much his business if you're trying to sell him animals that have been obtained illegally! It's actually very professional to ask for proof like permits if there is some question to the legality of the animals. But then again you're not big fan on providing proof that much you have made very clear throughout this thread. How about you scan your permit and post it here since that seems to be the main reason for creating this thread. I definitely won't be holding my breath, even though it's in your best interest to post this proof and would only take a couple minutes of your time. I don't think your reply to my request will be any different than the one you gave Josh when he asked to see your permit or when you have been asked to provide proof of your claims that Outback is scamming people.
And please don't misunderstand me, I hope you prove me wrong and you do have the proper permits to collect native wildlife and to sell them, I really do!!!
Why don't you also post the latest email exchange between you and Josh pertaining to the real reason of this thread. The ones where you are trying to peddle native wildlife and where he threatens to turn you in for not having a permit.
I also have to question the fact that if you really thought Outback had scammed you some how 2 years ago why would you contact them for any kind of a transaction? It would seem like they would be the last place you would contact for any dealings buying or selling, if you truly thought they were scammers and you had already been scammed by them.
The post would be enough if you provided proof. If Josh posted a similar thread about you would you want us to just believe him, or ask him for proof?
If anyone could come on here and post bad things about other people the BOI would be pointless. If it's not worth it to post proof then you've just wasted everyone's time by even posting in the BOI to begin with.
Actually anyone can come on here and post bad things about other people without proof or are complete fabrications it's not that uncommon. This thread is a perfect example.
If it's not worth it to post proof then you've just wasted everyone's time by even posting in the BOI to begin with.
