    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Angel, I can't stress this enough. Your beef may be with your brother but you have no issue with Paul. Jesus Blackman aka Tigger the tiger did a trade with Paul Moyer aka Monster Reptiles not you. Jesus needs to post on here.

Too many variables here. I agree with the others about a necropsy being done. The Univ of Pa is not the only vet hospital around who does them. I would call around its worth a shot. I think the trader (Paul) being reasonable with wanting to know why the snake died. I would want to have a necropsy done just for the safety of my other snakes since I think you mentioned it was housed next to others? When I quarantine I do it in another part of my house. Without a definitive answer from a necropsy you can say what you like about your husbandry practices and who drove the car but it's really just your words or your brothers. I'm assuming you checked over the snake very carefully at the show did you see any issues or remove the strip right away if it concerned you? Who's house was the snake living?

For the sake of the rest of 'your brother's' animals, I'd think he'd want to put more sincere effort into finding out exactly what killed the snake, instead of leaving it entirely up to what you believe to be common sense. Common sense would also have dictated practicing quarantine and not putting the new snake directly into general population.

Hopefully the cause of death IS something that can be as easily explained as pest strip induced toxic shock or overheating. Without concrete proof of what caused death, not only is the seller's collection now in question, but also your own, since you didn't exercise common sense and separate the newly acquired retic from the rest of your snakes.
 
Angel, while the first video was ingenious, it is really getting bothersome to continue watching your brother hem & haw his way through an explination.
I am not going to watch it.

If your brother can make videos, he can also post here. Unless of course he is illiterate, which would explain his unwillingness to post here on his own behalf.

I want to know why your brother cannot post on his own.

Call a vet. Have said vet send off for necropsy. Post results.

Yes it will cost, but isn't it worth it?

And what don't you people understand.....When I say we've called everywhere, we've called EVERYWHERE.....Vets from here to Pistton, PA.....They all have told us they CANNOT do it

Both parties are at an impasse, on one hand I agree that the snake may have been poisened by the pest strip. I personally have never had that problem and i've been keeping snakes for 24 years including retics which are a very hardy species. On the other hand, paul has a legit concern on his end as well because he does not know the exact circumstanes once the snake was no longer in his possesion.

A necropsy will be the only way if possible to know exactly what this snake died from. It can be costly from my 2 experiences in the matter. Angel the reason people are wanting to hear directly from your brother is because he is the one that actually pulled the trigger on the deal. I have a business partner myself and whenever either one of us makes a deal/trade we are individually accountable for our actions as adults usually are. Being that you have money vested in the situation I can understand your frustration. Your brother's husbandry seems good and I problably wouldn't question it. I hope you guys can come to some sort of an arraingement. The biggest loser in this deal is that poor retic and that is very unfortunate.

Well, my brother can't speak......so does that mean he should be scammed out of his snakes....The reason I post his videos is to give accurate words from HIS mouth
 
And the only difference between his videos and him posting on here is that you can see and hear him....Other than that a video from his own mouth, in his own words, should be just as good as him typing and clicking "post"

The refused to do the necropsy because the snake was never a patient or veiwed by one of their doctors before

Since the critter died in your care, it seems to me that you cannot simply give your opinion of the cause of death.
It may have been one of several different causes or a combination. If you are asking the seller to do something, you must show that it is the seller's fault. If for whatever reason you can't do that, it is unreasonable to expect the seller to simply accede to any requests you may have.
