In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am going out of my mind, worried sick right now. UPS lost BOTH of my packages. They delivered it SOMEWHERE and someone signed for them - NOT ME!!! It's not even someone who lives in my building. UPS doesn't know where they were delivered to, only that they were signed for. They said it would be an hour before the local UPS can get back to me.

I can't stop crying and feel like I'm going to throw up over this. I don't know what to do. All I know is somewhere out there, someone has two packages with MY gecko in them, and I doubt they are getting the care they need.

OMG Shanti.....that's AWFUL!!! You better believe I'd be on the phone with UPS until I got a dang answer.....if one doesn't know, ask for a supervisor, until you get some ANSWERS!!!!

It hasn't been too long....your babies should still be fine....I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed.....:(

Uh......dumb question....but if SOMEONE signed for them......shouldn't they know who the heck it is???? Can't they READ???? ACK!

OMG....how unbelieveable!!!!

How in the heck can they deliver a package but know where they delivered it to???

By gosh, I'd have that UPS driver's HEAD!!!!

The local UPS called finally, they still don't know where the packages are, but they are contacting the driver now. Now I just have to sit on my butt and wait for the driver to get back to them. I can't remember ever feeling so sick with worry.

Still no word yet, but I am a little thankful that Kelli didn't ship Brimstone last night.

Shanti-BREATHE!

This has happened to me before. I had shipped geckos and they were delivered to the wrong house. Once they get ahold of the driver he will (Most likely) remember where they were delivered and he will get the package and bring them to you. And, hopefully the person who received them will call UPS to have the driver come and get them.

Keep us posted!

Yeah I was having trouble with Fedex. For a while there the driver was allowing whoever was near my apartment sign and take my packages. Believe me I was at thier office the first time. :hot:
I hope you get your leos. Definitely make a stink about thier unprofessionalism, or at least the driver's unprofessionalism. For god's sake, it's not like they are a small company running out of a back alley.
Good luck. :)

They got ahold of the driver and he said he delivered here. So they contacted again, basically said that "there are live animals in these packages Bozo, what did you do with them?". So the driver then said "Maybe 9119" (I live in 9118). OK....for one, the numbers on the building are white, and about a foot tall. Second, no one that we have gotten ahold of in the building has gotten a package. Third, there hasn't even been a UPS truck down this street.

Eric thinks the driver might have stolen the packages. It's a pretty big F-up, and the driver is still saying he took it to the right place. There are no other 9118 Lunar Ave in Orland Park.

Make sure you keep on them about it, and be stern with them in telling them that you don't have the package. Tell them that you want the driver to return to the place he delivered them to and get the package, tell him if he really beleives that he deilivered it to the right place that he needs to go back and verify the signature which will prove that he delivered it to the wrong place.

You should also ionform the person the shipped the geckos so he/she can call UPS as well.

I've tried contacting both Sean and Chad, but I don't have a reply from them.

The driver is STILL saying he delivered to 9119. He even said he went there and no one answered. He also said he would come talk to us - which would be a quick walk acroos the stree. NOT ONE TRUCK has gone down this street. The woman at UPS is nice - but this driver is FULL of it. If I can get a address that he delivered to, then I can get a phone number and call the person. I'm so livid at this point.

UPS drivers have become very lazy in the last year or so. Several of my packages were delivered directly to the leasng office of my apartment complex, didn't even attempt delivery to my apartment! I bought a house and so far have had pretty good results with the 15 or so deliveries I have had in the last 2 months! Keep on UPS and let them know that you believe the driver is "mistaken" about the delivery because no truck has been through your neighborhood. It might also be helpful if you know of anyone else that was to get a UPS delivery in your neighborhood and ask them if they got your stuff (or their stuff).

I'm so sorry to hear you have to be put through this crap. Sounds like the dumb@$$ driver needs to have his job threatened. :hot: :uzi:

Shanti-

How stressful. Is there by chance a signature that UPS can provide you with? The name of the person that signed for it? Or did the driver just leave the package at the door and no one signed?

That's why I switched to Fed Ex a couple years ago, they actually (here anyway) ring my doorbell and require me to sign for the package.

This has happened to me twice, my geckos were delivered to the wrong place, both times the driver remembered where he "left" them and then brought them to me. My fingers are crossed for you.

I am glad we decided to wait for cooler weather to ship Brimstone as well, even though he would have been shipped Fed Ex.

Ok, so the driver is coming here to talk with us? No one knows if he has the packages. The girl I've been talking to at UPS sounds a little POed at the driver as well.

Oh, and it was signed for by a person named "Hawon" Yea, that sounds really similar to "Cameron" Hey, there's an "A", and if you turn the "M" upside down you get a 'W", and the last two letter are "ON". Sorry - I'm being horribly bitchy right now, but at the moment I feel I'm entitled to it.

As well she should be. I had this happen several times with DHL, except the driver always knew where he left them (interestingly enough, not even in the same town). At least if they were signed for, they probably aren't just sitting out in the sun someplace. Good luck, I hope they arrive soon...ALIVE AND WELL

Shanti if the packaged had been signed for have the driver write that name 5 times and it will probally prove that he signed for them and kept them. Good luck and I hope they turn up alive and well
