    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Pointless pi$$ing contests on the BOI - Bad Guy

1) I love Fauna and the BOI. Like John, above, I think that when the rude people start in on their posts, I just make a note not to deal with them ever in any kind of real life transaction, so I would agree that they are actually shooting themselves in the foot when they shoot off their rude mouths.

2) The vast majority of posts are about the reptile biz. And an even larger majority on the discussion boards are good helpful reptile talk.



3) That being said, there are some pretty entertaining characters at times, here. and


4) Just to keep the record straight, it is only youse guys who get into pissing contests; women are to smart for that, and plus they can't piss as far....

FINALLY,I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE

I asked a valid question on a thread here once,and all of a sudden I am being bashed by a few of the hens on here(they know who they are).They waisted about 6 pages of that thread worring about my spelling ,my proffesional buisness,and my Boa buisness(OH,AND BUISNESS IS STILL GOING GOOD YOU DID NOT HURT IT ONE BIT).I even keep telling them that they were going waaaaay off the subject in the thread,but they kept on waisting more space with there WORTHLESS mumbo jumbo.This could be a great place to go for info as long as the drama hens would stick to the subject instead of making it there little daily soap opera.

Please read this poster's threads!!! He is a troll....period. Asking stupid questions of folks that got scammed and defending the scammers...Not too mention defending folks that are clearly in the wrong. Calling people hens...not very nice.

This moron posted junk on my FREE classified ads. He's a flippin troll and a coward. That's enough on Peruvianfanatic.

This site is great, there are a few imperfections but if this site wasn't up and running alot of you would be gambling just talking to someone on the phone, and believing their word.

I can see past all the imperfections and I for one am grateful for this site. I think the ones that talk smack about this site are the ones worried about their own business ethics. This site is great in allowing folks to post their opinions and having the freedom to do so shouldn't be taken for granted or abused. I would like to hear your opinions.

The very posts you seek to try to prevent happen anyway...even on the threads that try to point out how the practice detracts from the true purpose here.

Oh well...my intentions here were good......I sure would greatly appreciate it if a post about trying to stay flame free could stay flame free from here on out.

This site is FLAT OUT AWESOME.

People enter in the pi$$ing contest for the reason to get peops to believe there story. Most of the time the true is uncovered one way or the other.

Tom, I agree with you, point being "Why do poeple post POINTLESS BS THAT DO NOT PERTAIN to the SUBJECT MATTER"

Tom, I couldn't agree more, with what you posted, after my post.
The BOI, which does have some good threads, which I have either read, or posted on.
But, I have seen some, which were just back and forth bickering, which spilled over into a different thread, and now those individuals involved will go at it anywhere they post in the same thread.
Like if someone asks for advice. The 1st person posts a reply, with sound advice. But, the 2nd person doesnt like that person, so they'll post, with their own advice, telling the person who just needed a bit of help, that the 1st person was completely wrong.
Just not needed, and you know a fight will follow.
I was involved in a thread somewhat like that, but I apologized for my actions, because, I actually didn't try to make it seem like an arguement.
Either way, everyone should just grow up, or shut up. No more of these petty arguments.

Peruvianfanatic just posted on my classifieds in the boa section, nothing that has to do with the sell of my snakes. He follows me around looking to pick at me.

Mods won't do anything about, I think you all would be a little peeved too. I am leaving it up this time so everyone can see what a class act this guy is. He can get in here and call people hens but when I call someone a moron that's deserving I get points. Though, who said life was fair?

Brett - do you know how to use the Classifieds Control Panel? You can fix that problem you are having in the classifieds section yourself.

Secondly, did you read the "rules" post that I have at the top of the BOI? There are over 14,000 registered members on this site and that thread has ONLY been read under 4,000 times. What is that telling me? Figuring on many people probably reading the rules thread more than once, probably less then 2,000 members here have even bothered to read those rules at all.

If people insist on posting without knowing what rules are in place, then they deserve to get warning points about it. It doesn't matter at all that they did not know about them. And in most cases, those very same people get pissed about it then start flailing all around pointing out other infractions people have made. This has been gone over time and time again here and I am just not going to waste my time addressing it again. I DON'T CARE WHAT SOMEONE ELSE MIGHT HAVE DONE! DID YOU OR DID YOU NOT VIOLATE A RULE THAT WOULD WARRANT WARNING POINTS!

Whoever it was that told you that the mods and myself read each and every post on this site was severely misinformed.

There is just no way you cannot see, Brett, that you have done exactly what this thread was complaining about.

If you go back a ALL of my posts you will see where I stated that I stopped to read some of my posts and realized that I too was participating in some of this. I'm not holding myself above anyone else, just pointing out an observation.

I wasn't calling the kettle black at all, I think I even mentioned it's human nature to want to jump in.

Realizing that it is pointless, and also noting that it is a widespread problem, I posted what I did.

We would ALL do well to look in the mirror once in a while, don't you think?

Hello again all. I am here at my school reading this thread. WE just had a discussion about our students and how they behave with all the "drama" and "he said she said" stuff. I want to thank you all for REALLY changing my outlook on how I teach. These kids/generation isn't the problem. Where do they learn it from? Home? Some of you?

I should have patience with them, they are just kids, but the rest of us are adults and should know better. I saw a "pi$$ing contest" escalate into a stabbing by one and a shooting by the other. 2 PEOPLE dead!!!! Started out with names too. This was Tuesday

tom, when you first started this post you acted like MR. innocent in all this. i too thanks to brett pointing it out looked at your previous post's. reading some of the post's you posted too, puts you in the same boat with all the people you have complained about here. heck, one of your remarks teeters on the racist line....

i know halfway down through this you admit that you have, but you didnt come out from the start to mention this. its a real wonder why you start a thread to complain about the same exact thing you do. there is a word for that............

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I spend way too much time on here arguing over pointless crap. It is really hard not to post after reading some members moronic statements. Some folks are out just to start a pissing contest. I am not one of them. I am sure it would make anyone as mad as I was after someone posts on your classifieds. It is childish and cowardly to say the least.

So far as flailing goes. I don't think I am going to be one of those guys. I read the rules twice and it's too bad that they don't apply to everyone. I have learned my lesson not to post on a thread that you are active on. As far as my post that you made a mockery of....everything I said I meant it. "There is just no way you cannot see", Uhh...yeah I can see that was exactly what I was doing. Just like all of you responding to this thread. I was calling this guy Peruvianfanatic out. I made the mistake of calling him names(second grade) but ohh well. When you deal with people that act like they are in second grade then sometimes you have to get down to their level if you want to make any sense. I guess it's not working.


It seems like people get off on starting these little wars. Dueling on the keyboard. Pretty cool. I really need to find better things to do with my time than reply or argue with folks that can't see the big picture.
