    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Pointless pi$$ing contests on the BOI - Bad Guy

Anyways, I think these kind of petty arguments have no place in the business.
We are all here, for the same reasons.
This is a business, like a brotherhood. If we cant get along, then how the hell is this supposed to be a good enviroment. I wonder how many newbies come to this site, read a couple posts, and never come back to the site again, because they were chewed out by someone.
We were all unknowledgable at one time or another, so why bitch at other people for it?
 
Well Brett, if you have indeed read those rules, how did you miss this:
Please note that I may not be able to get to read every new message posted in a timely manner. YOUR seeing someone violating the rules does not mean it is OK for you to do likewise. And your message being deleted while another one similarly violating the rules remains does not mean I have singled you out. It may just be that I haven't gotten to that thread or message yet, and perhaps I never will if someone doesn't call it to my attention. I reserve the right to delete or keep any messages at my sole discretion. My deleting a message does not mean I disagree with it, just as one remaining on the board does not mean I agree with it. Although I am human and certainly will have my own opinions on most matters, I will try to remain as neutral as possible in all instances.

I guess I do need to update that to include assessing warning points, as well as deletions, since I generally do not delete very many posts on the BOI, preferring the warning point method instead.

You have taken the usual stance of someone getting warning points who believes that they are being singled out because someone else has not gotten warning points. Why would you think every message posted here is of so much interest that myself or the moderators would take time out of our busy schedules to read them all? Just is not going to happen, so deal with it. The rules do apply to everyone evenly, but we are NOT going to make a point of reading everything in order for this to have that absolute appearance. I think I have made this point MANY times here, but apparently is not sinking in for everyone.

I have learned my lesson not to post on a thread that you are active on.

Oh? Why is that? There really aren't all that many threads that I have been active on.

As for the "mockery", I believe I was within the limits of accuracy to point out your post in light of what this thread is about. You labeled it as "mockery", not I. I indicated it as an excellent example of what was being discussed. Are you seriously trying to tell me that your post did not deserve to be pointed out as an excellent example of what Tom posted about?

And yes you got warning points for calling someone a "moron". Sorry if you find "hens" offensive, but it doesn't even register on MY meter. If you don't want to get warning points, read the rules AGAIN and pay closer attention to them this time. Don't violate the rules, and you don't have to worry about warning points. Pay close attention to what YOU post and not what someone else posts. If in doubt, then DON'T do it. Simple, isn't it?

I don't see where you were attacked Fernando. Others just seen it as odd for a poster to have a good dealing with the guy because he is a known con. You will see this every now and again here as alot of people make fake acounts to try and stick up for themselves or give themselves praise.

thats so true, by my 40th post here i was tired of this site and vowed not to return. over 20 of those post at the time was over bs, because someone disagreed with a post of mine. i only offered advice hoping to help others out, to be called a imaginative liar. needless to say that individual dragged it into any thread i posted into. most of you all should remember those post of mine. as for that should account for half of my 300+ posts here now. heck about 100 or less of my posts probably was ones not involved with arguing with 2 particular people on here..........

The word "WE" is inclusive of "ME"....sorry if that wasn't more clear.

Now - since you have now asserted that I'm boderline racist, which is COMPLETELY untrue and COMPLETELY ridiculous to assert. Start backing up your claim with the quote you reference and the thread it came from in it's complete context please. And believe me, you had better be darn sure of what you are reading when you make a statement like that!

disliked for my opinions? ok......... dont see how pointing out a starved beardie was opinion, nor the fact the person is to blind to see it themselves. to my own knowledge there are only 3 people who dislike me badly.

my own hell thread was in response to critical bill bagering me in every thread i posted in. i figured he could take his comments over there. only after he got under my skin by giving me a hard time over some advice i offered on the police blotter thread. he also was bringing that crap from fauna over to reptiforum too. until that moment i had no beef with anyone here. i figured he could take that crap to hell so the people at fauna didnt watch threads turn sour.

also, your thread never got under my skin at all. as a matter of fact i stated that i was no angel. im actaully surprised your thread hasnt turned into a total pissing contest.

unlike you though, i dont start a thread in the boi about pissing contest to hope that it dont wind up in one itself. not to mention that even after i apologized to you, you still attempt to start stuff.................

I can see that I am going to have to make up another warning category here. One for "Stalking". Meaning any member who goes out of their way to stalk another member in other threads.

So until I get that in place I will just put this warning here:

If either Peruvianfanatic or Bthacker post another message in this thread that is a pointed barb, or even an implied snipe, at the other, that person will get suspended from this site.

I would assume that nobody would've been brash enough to be fighting in a thread, that was started in a fashion to try and cut back on such things... Anyways, Tom, you surprised me especially, getting involved in such arguments. T'was noble of you to start this thread, but to have "joined in the fun" so-to-speak was completely eye opening.
I, just as about everybody else registered, and active, have been involved in some squables. Though, if I am proven wrong, I will apology. If I am able to prove the other person wrong, I don't rub their faces through the crap, trying to make myself feel superior.
Just my opinion. I'm sure somebody will have some reason to aruge with this, as everybody always does.
