Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy possible skammer(joseydiann)

listen i deleled my add because it turned into a discusssion so i will be puting it back up to nite when i get donr work.I wish i didnt delete all my emails from her becuase she stated twice you ship out tomorrow and i will ship out monday and she said that 1 of my snakes was only worth $30 it was an 09 male candycane the deal was for 1.2 adult corns and the 09 for 3 adult leos and 3 babys for 1 thing i told her i wanted adult females not males but she kept throwing these males at me so i agreed on 2 males and 1 female and 3 babys and what would i do with babys beside make an add and sell them i felti was doing her a favor she contacted me.i just really wanted to sell or trade these snakes i need the room really bad so if thats all that she was offering i would take it.I will post in my next trade adds phone call required because i just dont trust sending out my reptiles with the hopes that they with send mine and i gave her my number told her to call me or give me hers and i will call her.This whole thing is crazy i put up the boi becuase i consider all her actions very suspicious not talking before shipping only email communication is just crazy.I never met her and i dont know anything about her but im supposed to just ship 4 days befor her because she says shes a good guy .Sorry but i was just tryn to let people know to watchout for her becuase she is suspicious.

this isnt entirely about this post but as a person who buys more animals than they sell i would like to add some things.
i always do a boi search before i purchase and i always read the post and not just go by headers. so your name may pop up on a search but most actually read the discussion first so its not that bad.

as far as the no phone thing. if i ask a seller to talk i EXPECT them to talk. it is a safe guard for the buyer. it gives proof on paper of where the buyer is located in case of fraud. i do business with people with out talking to them but if i ask to talk on the phone that means i have a reason that i want to talk to you. and if you dont their is a good chance i wont buy from you

ALL of my snakes were purchased without EVER speaking to the people I bought them from over the phone. If I used your ideology, I would owe a lot of people a serious apology.

You were wrong to post this - period. I tell ya, if it were my ad she responded to and she offered to add Males to the mix, the LAST thing I would do is complain.

The way your posts read, it seems you are just upset that she was willing to ship CORRECTLY in the beginning of the week. So you had to wait a few days and you didn't like that.

This bad guy post is plainly posted out of spite. You owe her a serious apology.

Adam, how is talking on the phone a safeguard? Also how does it give proof on paper as it was a discussion on the phone? A phone number gives you no location as to someones whereabouts. I think you might have mistyped the info you were wanting to say.

Now, as I stated before, I PREFER written over verbal for the papertrail. I understand that people want to talk to you on the phone and I will accept phone calls, if I feel like it. If its a larger purchase, I can be at your beck and call. If its a small, 30.00 Corn, if you cant handle that through paper, I can keep it.

Phone calls are not a convienience anymore. How do you handle it when you do call someone and their phone is ringing with other prospective buyers when you are placed on hold? There are too many intangibles when it comes to talking on the phone as well as it being hearsay.
 
i have ordered many reptiles without ever talking on the phone also but a trade is different sorry if any1 thinks different and i did not post this out of spite like i said possible skammer i will be deleting this later 2day beans so many people have so many different views and i dont really care all i was telling the fauna community that we might have a possible skammer so to lookout for her.FYI i usually always talk on the phone before i sell i have only sold 3 times on fauna and i gave them all my number it just so happens that all 3 of the buyers never said anything 1 of the buyers i have almost a weekly contact with by texting on my cell so and she seems pretty satisfied.
 
John, one thing about the BOI, once its here, its here for good. Whatever you say here CANNOT be deleted. This is why you will get many responses here.

Its ok to post here, but you should fully understand as well as communicate with your customer, even though its a "trade", you are still each others customer. When posting a bad guy or "possible skammer" thread, you should have exhausted all other options before you label someone. This label can ruin someones business even if thats not the intent of the OP, which is you.

Anyhow, I hope you both can work through your threads and get back to doind what you need to do.
 
i some what agree with not wanting to take phone calls for a sale/trade. I also feel that as long as your mention the important parts of the phone call threw email so you do have a paper trail. For some people talking to the person over the phone puts them more at ease for doing a trade i know it did with me but like i mentioned before i put all the details of the phone call threw email so just in case i got burned i had prof of what was disclosed over the phone. The op jump the gun on this bad guy thread BIG time so honestly Amanda i wouldn't worry about this one thread.

Don't let this thread bother you. As stated previously, most people are not going to go just by the headers they are going to open it up and read what really took place. People talk/email trades everyday and if you not calling him was a dealbreaker for him that should of been the end of the deal. In his own posts he states that he proceeded with the trade even without the phone conversation because he needed more space. That is his fault for proceeding with something that makes him uncomfortable, it in no way makes you a "bad guy".

You were never obligated to proceed with the trade if you did not have phone conversation with her. If anything makes you feel uncomfortable it would of been better to say I'm sorry this isn't going to work. I agree you owe Amanda an apology because this is as simple as you agreeing to terms that you were uncomfortable with and then deciding to post something that stays on here forever. In the future make sure you are comfortable with the conditions you agree upon.
 
If you had to talk to her SOOO BBBAADDD,what stopped YOU from CALLING her??..Why was it put on her to call you?..I could understand having a few minutes phone time with the person..But I would call them..Also,phone conversations dont hold up in court unless you recorded it..Otherwise its a bunch of he said she said..So you should do all the arragements through emails,which could be used in court..I am guessing by all this that you are just a kid..You really should have thought about posting this,instead of just trying to ding someones rep "just because"..

Good catch..I had to do some re-reading lol..I feel it would be unfair for her to have to pay for long distance calls,for someones inquiry..I understand the buyer wanting some phone time,as it is easy for anyone in any country to set up and email and pay pal...But this kid went way overboard,as this did not merrit a bad guy thread at all...Congratulations on losing businness because you dont know how to treat people...http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170444..You might have to use google for the link to work..
 
Amanda turner is a dragon breeder who lives way out rural WV so she is kinda in a lil out of the way town about 2 hours from the nearest bigcity she is way cool and I have talked with her a lot she is a personal friend of mine and this is just Slander on her .Well look at her web site for petes sake she tells it for you in BLACK and WHITE!
 
Amanda, From what I have read I dont consider labeling you a scammer. I myself ship on Mon-Wed because you never know what may happen along the way. I wouldn't worry too much about this thread. For me at least it looks like the OP jumped the gun and then him trying to sell (and actually selling one) of the snakes that was in the trade just looks bad on him. Especially if he didnt let you know the deal was off which is what I gathered from Haralds post about the classifieds ads and it then being deleted.

As for the phone, I explained my reason which I guess I'll share with everyone here too. I live with and take care of my disabled mother who does not like the idea that I give her number to strangers and no I can't tie up her lines with my reptile breeding business especially long distance and he wanted me to call him.
I told him I understood if he didn't want to go through with the trade but I could not call ect.. he then mailed back saying he REALLLY wanted to do the trade and still wanting to call.
However he informed me that he had sold one of the snakes that was part of our deal and I could have another.
I went back to the "corn snake" forum to find that he had been posting the other snakes "the females" that were part of the trade for sale and didn't even bother to tell me.
He could have said "hey I'm re-listing these snakes this isn't going to work" he posted them again and then came back to me, but instead I just run onto it while waiting to hear from him.

You'll find my comments there on his corn snake ad, I just thought oh well and left it at that and told him good luck. No idea why he would bring it here like this so fast.

And just jumping the gun and calling me a scammer is just rude especially when I have been breeding and selling reptiles for many years, when I have a website with over 100 memebrs, and great customer comments and testimonials posted right on my site.
And believe it or not I have shipped 100's of reptiles without ever having to talk to someone on the phone.

I don't have time for petty childish games and as I told him "yeah some scammer I am huh, I scam so many people that they join my site and keep coming back for more scamming."

No hard feeling, life is short. I do hope he gets what he's looking for or sells his snakes.

And to be honest, and some of you know how BAD I want a snake I'm glad I didn't do the trade because he was getting over $400 worth of Leos and one of those snakes was only worth $30..

Maybe I should avoid this place or I'll eventually end up trading $2000 worth of reptiles just to get a snake hehe..

Ok first he was just telling people to watch out might be a scammer. Nothing wrong with that. You dont have any trade status and you have be here for 6 years. So cant blame the man. Plus a sale is different then a trade. You are hoping while your snakes are in transite so are the other guys but you dont know that.

Plus you cant talk on the phone come on its the 21st century. You dont have a cell phone what with all those snakes you say you sell and you have your own web site and you cant afford a cell phone. Come on man!!!

So you cant blame the guy for being suspicious. Plus there were other people interested in the snakes namely me. So he dumped the trade with you and talked to me. On the phone imagine all that. Have been talking all day about how all of you people on this site have been bashing him for being suspicious and warning you of a possible scammer. So that no one would get caught up in a scam and helping everyone on the site.

No there is no proof and he never said that you are a scammer just told people to watch there backs. But once again I see this site as well as Cornsnakes.com true colors on how you all bash someone over and over just to make yourselves feel better. This site is here for helping each other and to sell some reptiles. That is all he wanted to do is sell some stuff and help out anyone that might get scammed.

I think sometime you people just need to back off and let by gowns be by gowns.
