    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Prehistoric Pets UPDATE

Ryan I would gather a bet that Deidra enjoys posting so most she forgot to look at the date on the first post in this thread. Just an observation.

In the early 90s, I felt that their shop was great. It wasnt as crowded with animals back then. All the sides were rooms with BIG Burmese pythons. I actually bought an Albino Burmese from them in like 1992, paid a fortune for it too. Jay was the actual salesperson who sold it to me. The Fountain Valley store was A LOT smaller and I was there for the grand opening. I actually won a few drawings, including the grand prize of a baby Burmese Python. It was rigged for me to win, but I won it nontheless.. LoL The reason it was rigged was because I spent so much money between the two shops that I got extra tickets.

If You live in so-cal And are into reptiles you should shop at Pet Kingdom In san Diego. They have a Huge selection of healthy herps. Lots of rare stuff I have never seen at any other pet shop. Its A BIG PLACE with the most amazing fish selection too.

used to go there in the late 90s when I lived in SoCal, it was never great (some things were good but IMO they needed improvment) however it was one of the better stores around. Back then they only charged to feed the koi and maybe the turtles (and possibly a monitor) and they had big torts the kids could 'pet'... I understand wanting to charge admission to view but I can see how that would be a big shock when it's a sudden change of direction from what they were before. I hope they got some nice display enclosures for the 'zoo' aspect and it's not just multiple big snakes in 6' cages. They used to have a pretty nice display in the front window of water dragons and basilisk.

Do they still have the two big ficus outfront?

I agree the prices are over the roof and the conditions of these snakes are poor and most of them are infested with mites, I bought an over priced tiger retic that had a smashed face from trying to escape its small tub it was living in, was barely enough space for the retic to lift his head, I really do feel bad for many of the reptiles in this shop, P.P has a large selection of rare reptiles and unless you are there to buy one of them they wont give you any customer service or answer any of your questions.
