• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The Admin email didn't come copy - it is highlighted on the page, but, for the record, it is [email protected] as our fake Micheal Smith. Coincidentally, this further proves my above statement....check the organization and admin names above, with this match:

You have to love when they think they're smarter than everyone else, and end up burning themselves.

Sounds to me like a scam waiting to happen.

Wow, Its good to see others asking questions about sites like I do. I saw everyones posts on this company primevalpets.com....I just completed my own transaction with this company. I also selected local picked up of my reptiles. They were in great shape and are doing wonderful. The guy that owns it doesnt have a store front and from what I saw is not hording reptiles in any way. He had a couple leopard geckos and a beardie that looked very healthy if you ask me, and they were for him and his families enjoyment. The reptiles he sells come from his wholesaler (which I would love to find out who they are) and are shipped directly to his customers. Unless you live around here and he gives the option of local pick up.

Personally I will do business with again and recommend to my friends also.

oh and a side note...who cares if the pics on his site are "borrowed" as long as they arent copywritten, which none are that i can tell....that business owner should be flattered to have another website using the same pics. ***copying is the best form of flattering*** Just my opinion.
As I've said time and again... we only catch the dumb ones. It's been especially easy this time around.

Try as you might, you simply can't justify the fact that you're nothing more than a petty thief. As for who cares... I'm more than willing to bet that the people who you stole from care. You're illegally using their work for your own personal gain. Then again, petty thieves such as yourself look for any way to justify their acts, don't they? It would behoove you to educate yourself on copyright law, as the photos that you're illegally using for personal gain are indeed copyrighted.

At this point, it would be poetic if those from whom you stole from contact the company hosting your site about the illicit use of their services.

Congrats on shooting youself in the foot. :shootfoot

Thanks Harald ... I wanted to post that info last night, Harald ... but wanted to be certain I had all my bugs in a basket or worms in a row (or however it's said) before I did. I'm glad ole Preston Shearer AKA Michael Smith made it so simple! What a moron!

Here's just a little more:

Now, about that Pgymy transaction Cherisse ... did you by chance get a sales receipt of any kind? You live in Nampa also, correct?

It seems there is some confusion about my sight I have created. I am Preston Shearer, owner or PrimEval Pets. So there is no misunderstandings about our site, I'm taking this opportunity to clear up some things, since it seems most people will not confront people directly.
First the previous post listed under myself was my wife in an attempt to protect us and our site. She apologizes so watch what is said about that post...

Second, our main goals in creating this site is to get these magnificent reptiles out to the public and let everyone enjoy them instead of the few that are able to find them in pet stores. We offer some education and care sheet with ALL of our reptiles we sell to help ensure they are taken care of properly.

Third, we have wholesale accounts with 25 different wholsalers in order to provide an extensive and rich collection of reptiles to offer to our customers. Therefore, the pics on our site are used in accordance with all wholesalers policies.

If there are any questions...I invite anyone to email us and ask the questions on your mind instead of slandering the internet with unrealistic and false reports.

Interesting ... especially since your site is now "Undergoing construction, please check back later or email us at [email protected]".
All content and photos have been removed or are now otherwise unavailable.
Now why would an honest and ethical person with nothing to hide do such a thing?

Perhaps you should have worded it differently : "Undergoing de-construction". lol

No receipt.. and I didnt ask for one.

I hardly ever post on this site, and when i do post in someone's favor (or think about posting for a good dealer), it seems like it backfires... :(

Yes, I do also live in Nampa, but I do not know Mr. Shearer other then by the transaction that we just made.

Cute.....

She apologizes so watch what is said about that post...

Why would anyone need to watch what was said. If that was your wife, why didn't she just post under her own name? You'll have to excuse us around here, but exhibiting typical scammer/lowlife behavior is usually going to get you called out on here.

FYI, implied threats will get you nowhere on the internet. For the record, "that post" was a horrible attempt at making a shady looking business appear legitimate, so I'll call it that. If your wife or you want to protect your business, run it right, and let the REAL customers speak for you. ;)

- Your wife's name is Micheal? And she feels that lying is an appropriate way to protect you (and your site)?
That post was so glaringly obvious in its intent & delivery that it inspired the subsequent investigation.
- I didn't see anybody "slandering the internet with unrealistic and false reports"...did that happen here?

Cherisse, this might not have gone the way you expected...but I wouldn't say it exactly backfired. Building a business on false pretenses is asking for trouble. You have had a positive transaction with a company, and it has been noted. It certainly isn't your fault that that information was overshadowed by Paul's (or his wife, Micheal's) BS post about his (her) imaginary transaction, or his (her) commentary about stealing images not being a big deal. That is what blew things up in his face.

I'm really sorry that I posted on this thread.

I had a great transaction and everything went well, so I thought that I would share that information.

Guess I will just keep my mouth (and fingers) shut from now on, no matter the outcome.

:)

This didn't happen because of anything that you posted, nor would you need to worry about being associated with the Shearer's lack of integrity. The main thing that influenced the direction of this thread is the conduct of those officially representing Primeval Pets.

Intersting... I would hardly qualify lying and attempting to justify theft of intellectual property as "protecting [your] business."

Now then, since you claim to have permission to use the aforementioned photos, I've sent an email to Mike Wilbanks to see if he'll either refute or verify that you have his permission to use his photos uncited. My money's on the former, but I'll withhold judgment until hearing back from Mike. Although the funny thing is that even when permission is granted, the owner of the intellectual property generally requires a citation acknowledging that the photo in question represents their work. I saw no such citations.

And in case you haven't figured it out. Your accounts are not going to be deleted. We are not in the business of protecting people from themselves. Should you no longer not want to maintain an active membership here, the onus is on you to simply refrain from logging in. However, the accounts won't be deleted, as what you have posted on the BOI is intended to remain for posterity.

ill be very interested in hearing the response from that email.

and in regards to photographic rights/copyright

there is a law (the name of which escapes me at the moment but i will track it down) that does explicitly protect photographs (whether labeled with a copyright or not) from illegally being used by persons that are not the owner of said photograph.

If there are any questions...I invite anyone to email us and ask the questions on your mind instead of slandering the internet with unrealistic and false reports.

Why not openly answer questions here? If you have an honest business with nothing to hide, there should be no problem for you to level with the readers here and answer their questions so that all may swee.

I take back what I wrote earlier, Laura.

I paid him by PayPal, so yes I do have a receipt.

I did not think about that, sorry.
