In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Alejandro!

Before they let you into the country they will ask you "how do you spell professions"
So you better start practicing!

Just kidding....nobody knows how to spell that here!:D

I have to give alejandro a lot of credit for what he's doing...

As for me, I work for the Department of Homeland Security.

I also own E2MacPets, obviously. :D

professions....

Well, I was a Chemical Engineer for almost 26 years until I became disabled with FMS/MCSS, as well as degenerative bone disease... then I became an Ordained Minister with World Christian Ministires. I am a Chaplain at the local hospital, and serve as a grief support counselor and work with chronically ill people. I also do lots of weddings, baptisms, and a few memorial services. My MAIN job is as a leopard gecko breeder, which is pretty much a 7 day-a-week job!

I LOVE what I do, even if the pay stinks! LOL!!!

I am a Team Leader

I am a Team leader with the Montana Youth ChalleNGe program. The best way to discribe MYCP is.. An alternative school for at risk youth ages 16-19. The program is based on a Para-Military structure but is not as intense as a "Boot Camp". Also our youth are not adjudicated, which means they are not sentenced to be here by a judge. Our program is strictly voluntary. Also we do not accept youth that have felony convictions. (Misdemenors do not disqualify a youth) There are several challenge programs throughout the US, I believe it was 43 programs in 27 states, but that changes constantly. Youth must be residents of the state the program in located in. Anyway As Team leader I am on the 2nd step up in the chain of command for the Montana Challenge. Different states have different rank structures. Okay enough, I am starting to sound like a commercial. But that is what I do.

oops

I mistyped that the correct ages are 16-18 not 16-19 although it is ok if a youth turns 19 during the class.

i work for THE MAN now
after school i got a scholarship but lost it after the first semester... went another semester to a private college.... then my parents said if you getting grades like this and we pay 18 grand a semester you can go to comunity college (where it cost less than a grand a semester).... went to a comunity college for five years HA (i was mia for a year or so in those five years)... i have no degree not very many hours... but i had a TON of fun and drank part of south texas dry, danced my feet off and went all over texas , one night in san antonio next morning wake up in port A or south padre or brownsville (matamoreose) sometimes even houston dallas or austin... then somwhere around 24 my body told me i was an a-hole and she couldnt take it any more (partying began to hurt LOL)... i began to calm down and was re-enrolling in school at 26 when my mother passed away and dropped my courses (planning to go back)and i havent been able to go back since
so now i work for THE MAN, i love my job and enjoy it and live with a wonderful husband and many many creatures

Went to school got a degree in bio and I now work (the last 9 years) as a fiber optic/construction technician for a large cable company.... Go figure....LOL

Alejandro

I own my own business, called Feather Ranch, where I make all kinds of furniture (tables, beds, lamps, sconces, bath fixtures, curtain rods, railings etc...) out of metal-copper-brass.
Most everything I make is custom one of a kind, made for specific customers. Some times (when I get caught up) I create my own ideas which is much more satisfying!

Im an SFU student up here in Canada, work part time at Mad science a franchise that provides afterschool workshops, b'day partys and corporate events, and also the local YMCA daycare.

My first year i was in sciences, then business, now GENERAL studies ahahaha. I've given up and just want to graduate, i'll prolly attend BCIT for a media design diploma afterwards.

And herping is just my hobbie

I attend APU and am taking general studys. I play football for University and am currently working as a tattoo artist. I wanted to take general studys until I can make a firm decision on what I would like to do. I enjoy the ink work but I cant see myself doing it for a living, although it is good money. You should go over the classes that are available and do a little studying on them and see which one you enjoy the most. Some people get lucky and get jobs that they enjoy so it realy isnt a job at all. I forgot to mention I also breed leopard geckos and I have obtained an awsome colony of many bloodlines. I enjoy breeding them and I am thinking of maybe buying a domain once I get enough breeders and hatchlings. Do whatever interests you as this would be the best bet.

I studied Architecture in Australia, then worked as an assistant architect for 3 years in Hong Kong. I then got married and now just a happy gecko mom.

(Didn't even bother to be a registered architect, I'd rather enjoy my life than working every minute.) :D

I work for the original creator of Faunaclassifieds, Bill Gillingham (Great Valley Serpentarium). I help him run his business and I plan to buy it. I also attended one year of UC Santa Cruz, but now I'm going to a community college.... I plan to graduate from UC Davis with a degree in Evolution and Ecology.

I have always hated school so I don't exactly know how I got there but I have a masters in Biochemistry and a PhD in Immunology. And now I am a researcher. You know one of those weird/crazy people who live in laboratories and try to find new drugs to cure diseases. Well okay, I don't REALLY live in the lab, I share an apartment with a gecko but I do spend most of my time in the lab.

I am currently unemployed-waiting on a disability hearing as I have some problems that prevent me from working.
I figure that at age 51 now- I might get a decision by the time I'm 65...:(
I love all animals and my house is a zoo-dogs-cats-reptiles and I have the Leo addiction BAD!!
I have no human kids so my animals are most definitely considered family. :)
If I had to do it all over again- i would have pursed some sort of education toward a career working with animals.
I was another one that "partied hearty" and never gave school a second thought.
I used to work primarily in retail and as a waitress.

Profession

I am currently a courier. I was a Senior Research Assistant for 12 years at Saint Louis Univ. until I got laid off in March. Oh, yeah I am trying to build a little Leo business called www.southsidegeckos.com

After switching my bio major to get my B.A. in history(Go figure), I came home, sat on my butt until my old man had enough of it. He made me go work with him. 10 years, callouses, and scars later I am part owner of a flooring installation business. Needless to say I am the most well educated rug installer out there, but it pays for my gecko habit so I can't complain.

Rhonda, my wife, is a hard working stay at home kid wrangler, who also happens to feed geckos.

Tony

I majored in biology and am currently employed as a wildlife biologist for a defense contractor. It's great getting paid to do what you love.
