Sorry I'm new so if I'm not allowed to post, it can be deleted... but why is this an issue? I really don't care if a good reptile seller did steroids or even stole them. Steroids are just like alcohol, you abuse it and you'll have some health problems, but is this a morality issue? You're making the jump that if he sold Steroids, he's crooked as it gets and he's a shady businessman? Steroids are not exactly the street drugs that are killing people like Crystal Meth, people make the decision to buy steroids in attempt to bulk, and that's their business. It was not an intelligent decision to sell or "cook it up in your lab" (what kind of Florida Coke Cartel reference is that?), but what's done and done, and his moves to cover his butt with the authorities is the same thing anyone would do if caught in that situation. If snakes and lizards were banned in your state or area, would you keep your snakes? That would be a crime that many would commit. I know that they offences are of different statures, but I mean come on. He admitted what was goin' on, and it makes no difference to me. Everyone has done something they're not proud of, and our pop celebrity heroes are all coke-heads and horrible role models. Let's act like adults and try to give someone the benefit of the doubt.

Almost everyone is repentant when they just got caught. How can you say that someone has "changed their ways," or that they "made mistakes in the past" when they are still in the process of being prosecuted for the crimes that they just got busted for? :rolleyes:
 
No one is patting anyone on the back for their illegal activities, people are being kind IN LEUE of these activites. Dunno if he's repetant or not, just know that I have not seen one viable post that has called his pet trade a problem. I guess experience in the lower and middle class world has taught me to accept a lot more, and have opinions on illegal activities that do not bother me. Steroids shouldn't be an illegal drug to me, so I don't really have any moral qualms with their trade. But if I was a little stricter with my morals (and higher on my horse) I would probably care.

I believe that was ruled as severe depression and instigative substances (steroids). Either way, ever taken steroids? I know plenty of people who do, doesn't really make any difference except sometimes they are irritable. I think I can get over someone being in a bad mood for a while, either way, I was just trying to say that this thread is about the reptile trade and personal experience with a seller, not to put your noses where they don't belong. People are going to do whatever they're going to do, whether it's legal or not. People buy drugs because they want em, simple as that. Whatever people are doing, if it don't hurt nobody but themselves, then it's not my business.
 
I know this is a post about Providence reptles but since we are on the drug kick. Pharmacudical companies manufacture drugs that are harmful to use everyday. I know your going to say they are legal and yes they are. That fact is many kill people and have terrible side affects. The FDA approves these, test results are covered up from the pharmacudical company, Doctors prescribe them and they kill. I know not to many of these drugs, but the ones that do are still not banned. Double Standard, I think so.
 
In rare cases, Viagra can cause a decrees or loss of vision. I imagine it could be a good side effect if your woman is butt ugly and and she doesn't give you an erection. I mean now you have an erection and now you don't even have to look at her. Just feel around in the dark and do your thing. 4 hours later you can vomit.

Well and considerring he said he was using HGH and then someone said he was selling his stock of 40,000 units, you can go to an anti-aging specialist and have HGH prescribed to you. It is a steroid that increases testosterone levels, but masturbating raises test levels and prednisone is a steroid, so masturbating if you have asthma should be at least 10-20 years behind bars right? And forget buying a snake from him... A masturbating asthmatic is dangerous...

Each reported that their REPTILE RELATED deals went smoothly and that they were satisfied with the outcome.

Some unknown entities brought forth the information, (3 links below), that this same Mr. Timothy Lee Lofton was busted in Sept of 2007 for possession and sales of illegal drugs.

Thus far Mr. Lofton has not been convicted of a crime but has in this thread admitted to his guilt, directly or indirectly, in relation to possession and sales of illegal drugs.
Regardless of what he was dealing in he DID willingly and knowingly break the law which to some degree is a testament on his ethical standards.

Speaking for myself, I would not be comfortable doing business with him at this time. Not necessarily because he ignored the law, though that counts into it as well, but primarily because he has not had his day in court.
At any moment he could be taken into custody and if you have an order placed with him he might not be able to ship until he gets out of prison.

As for his ethical standards, I would surmise based on the crime, that they are money driven rather than service or care driven which would also make me hesitant to do business with him.

Yes I know there are a lot of honest reptile dealers who are specifically money driven and do not care about customer service or care about the animals they sell, beyond getting the cash, but those are not people I would list as my first choice of people to do business with.

Oh no. This isn't one of those forums where pre-pubescent adults yell at eachother and name call and all that entails, is it? The son is in fine health, had absolutely no lasting effects. He weighs less because he stopped taking steroids. I didn't say that steroids should be at the Quickstop. I do not think that injecting his son with steroids was ok. That's bad, and I'm glad he's being punished. Why in the world would you feel the need to attack me like that? No wonder there are thousands of reptile breeders all over the place, because no one can find one that doesn't turn out to be an adult with the psyche of a 13 year old girl. What's next?
