In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Will female bearded dragons have a period, like other female animals! I have no idea, this is my 1st reptile! THANKS!

Female beardies will lay infertile eggs even if they have never come in contact with a male. I have a 3 year old who just started laying clutches of eggs this spring. 3 clutches so far and she has never even seen a male.

You are very correct. I had forgotten that they do that sometimes.

Wanna, if you are worried about this make sure she gets calcium supplements and calcium rich food for food. Since she is only 7 months old you shouldn't need to worry about her laying infertile eggs for at least another 12 to 17 months, when she is an adult and sexually mature; if she does it at all. :)

They can lay infertile eggs as early as 12-14 months old, and most of them will be flabby, shaped like a soft, half filled water balloon. When they look like that, they are definite duds. If the dragon has mated, occasionally there will be plump infertile eggs in amongst the fertile ones, but they can be candled and you can tell the difference early on because they don't develop the veins after a week or so like the fertile ones.

oops i definitly learned something new i didnt relize they can drop at 12 to 14 months now am going to check my female more often now she is 12 months old:eek:

I have had females that lay slugs at 6 months old. I think that it has a lot to do with the habitat that they are in and the amount of food available to them.

Wow, that's really young to lay Bill. I was using an approximation [ at 12-14 ] but there are exceptions to every rule. It's not really a matter of access to lots of food, though because I've seen and read many instances where large 2 year olds had never laid an egg.
