So~ lets get this forum moving~
Successful breeders~ When you cool your BPs~ do you manipulate the ambient room temp? Or the hot spot? Or both? What is your max/min temps during cooling? Do you keep you BPs in your home or do you have a seperate facility?
I keep my BPs in my home. I only had two females that *might* be ready this season, so I was pretty mellow on the "cooling". I left the hot spots at 90F. I allowed the ambient room temps to fluctuate as they usually do in doors in Southern California. Day temps were average of 75F, night average of 68F. (Thats what I had our central heat set to) Some days were warmer. Some days reached 80-90F, but those were relatively few. (Southern California, I got a sunburn taking down my Christmas lights this year!)
I saw NO breeding behaviour AT ALL.
I'd like to do much better next year when I will 12 to 15 females large enough. So what do y'all do?
PS~ Just so you know the non-cool temps~ Summer (NOW!) I keep the central air (Ambient room temp) set to keep ambient room temps at 80F day and 90F night. (Central air is expensive, I let the family be a bit warm!)
