In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

R.I.P Chuck Kimmel (critical bill) :(

I'm grinning ear to ear ... Maggie, you are freakin amazing; thanks for sharing the photos.

Wes, real good to see you again ... your post was sheer poetry.

A tip of my ginNtonic .. to Chuck. Cheers, my friend.

I haven't posted in either thread about Chuck because every time I start reading all I can do is shake my head and say to myself "What could I say"?

So, it comes down to two things...

Our loss is heavens gain. :( And

I LOVE THAT PICTURE :D

Chuck,

I did not know you, but I read so many of your posts over the years. Of the threads I subscribed to, I always winced when I saw your name or DAND's tied to the newest post. I was anxious to see what wit was coming, even when I didnt like some of them.

On Fauna, for me, you were an addiction that I have missed the last few months, good and bad. I miss seeing your name associated with something going on. You toed the line, and sometimes croseed it, but I respected everything you had to say because it came from your heart. You didnt do this for your personal gain, you did it for the rest of Fauna.

I hope that someday, you get to meet up with all of your friends here and share some drinks at the pool. We all miss you, good and bad alike. Its a sad day in Fauna when there is no more "Critical Bill" to read.

Godspeed sir and may you rest in peace. Everyone not fortunate enough to be where you are will be looking in on your family, a promise a lot of us have made.

I don't know if any of you know where "critical bill" came from - it is from the movie "thing to do in denver when you're dead". If you don't know the movie, watch it. If you know the movie, then will laugh you @$$ off knowing that he was exactly like him - completely crazy and completely wonderful...

Tomorrow is the service, so I'm sure I won't be on - I'll be back in a day or two, but I have come to love all of you as he has. I hope you and all of your families are well.

Take care for now, Maggie

Rest in peace Chuck. Thank you for all the advice. You were a great man, a pure soul, and a good heart. you will be missed but forever loved!

Maggie-

Our thoughts and prayers will be right there with you and your family to sustain you.

Just close your eyes for a moment and feel the LOVE around you..that will be us sending HUGE HUGS!!

I didnt know Chuck...But from the way he talked on here,he would have been someone I would have loved to have some beers with..I loved reading his posts..He always stood up for himself, and others..I feel for his family...

Chuck,
We always talked about getting together for a gin and tonic (or several), and sharing some laughs...I am so very, very sorry that we didn't make that happen. It is now my loss. You will be missed. You already are. I am proud to have called you my friend.

:iagree: And it was an honor to know that he considered me his friend.

Chuck, thanks for all the support to faunas ethics and for setting the bar. You will be missed by many but now enjoyed closely by your maker. RIP brother.

I'm not sure where I said this earlier so this thread will have to do. I think Chuck should be memorialized here on Fauna somewhere, somehow and I was thinking that making his Contributing Member status permanent if possible. Not for his monetary contributions but for his many other contributions he has provided here on Fauna.

I predict a run on this film.... I'll certainly be looking out for it.

Chuck will be sorely missed, that's for sure!
Maggie, I have seen the movie & it is one of my all-time favorites...maybe that's what made him seem so familiar. Things that make ya go "hmmmm..." (Helen, thanks for the link; it made me laugh thinking about Chuck)

I haven't checked out your link yet, Helen ... but right off the top of my head I do recall a couple of lines I totally loved (I'm not even sure which character said them):

"I am Godzilla! You are Japan!"

"They can die quickly. They can die slowly. But they must die!"

I'm going to check out your link now, Helen. Thanks for posting :)
