    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I would have never thought that this thread could reach this scope or magnitude, or bring out such emotions; but it was you the readers and participants who blew this thread out of proportions (in typical faunaclassifieds.com-style, I might add), and made it even jucier.. People became so hooked on this thread, that they have even taken the time to:
1) perform Google searches for participant names
2) check the California prison system for recent inmates/new detainees
3) search a newspaper's website for a particular article
4) went through the faunaclassifieds.com registry to check and compare IP addresses
5) start related discussions and threads on other forums... and much more!

Talk about devotion! I would bet that some people even lost sleep over this thread...talk about a lot of free time...

Why on earth would any of you waste all of this time and effort? Why even waste the time reading through this whole monstrosity of a thread (40 pages)?? You have all become fixated on and obsessed with this thread, all because it got to you, struck a nerve, or was eating you up on the inside...all the while wasting hours of your life participating in this ridiculous, but evidently highly-believable thread.

Now that is what I call "too much free time on your hands".

Interesting response Rob/Bob/Billy but let me point out a few things.

1.) Most of the reptile community considers this site a valuable resource. We attempt to prevent gross negligence and stupidity like you evidenced in this "put on" thread. Your misuse of it for your own entertainment is a major slap in the face.

2.) None of the regulars who posted had the slightest interest in reselling your mythical animals. We were legitimately concerned that they were going to a ridiculously subpar new home.

3.) The time that was invested to ferret out the bogus nature of this thread was about 45 minutes. I am sure that setting this up took a lot more time than that. I was endeavoring to expose a phony. You wasted your time simply to get your rocks off. Who is childish and pathetic in that comparison.

To sum up, I hope that you enjoyed your little hoax. The end result is that you have destroyed your credibility in this community, and will never be taken seriously again. You have also demeaned a resource that has done nothing but good since inception.

I do hope you think it was worth it.

One of the more interesting performances I have ever seen from someone engaging in trolling on this site, no doubt.

I did a check of the IP addresses of this member (whose name is listed as Bob Mandiek, btw), and got a match with another registered member listed as treemonitorsdotcom. The members name for this alternate registration is listed as Robert Mendyk. Gee, sure sounds like a coincidence for those names to be so similar. For those interested, here's a page on the treemonitors.com website where "Bob" talks about himself: http://www.treemonitors.com/about_us.html.

No mention of his inclination for trolling on other websites, however. Perhaps if Bob ever considers going into business instead of wasting people's time by making false offers of animals for adoption, they will first check here and make their own decisions about whether or not they want to "waste their time" once again with someone like this or not. Who knows, maybe his offers will be just as believable and offer just as many people the opportunity to give him even more laughs.

After seeing that website, you cant tell me he is not a breeder. Look at the Cage system in the warehouse. That tells me he is full of it. You guys are right about one main issue. Why would you give away $10,000 worth of lizards for free. They easily will sell very quickly. It was intresting reading all your threads. Later All that actually care about reptiles ... Shaun

That had to be the funniest thing I've ever read!!! I can't believe I just wasted the last hour reading all of it...It's ashame that some people have no life & have to mess with everyone,at least with it being a hoax,there were no animals really hurt,I guess... :bolt01: On to more informative things!!!

I wish I would have, after seeing his pics I emailed him and said it was nice to have a pic to go with the name. He must have been worried about being recognized somewhere, it said he used to live in Florida and attend Daytona shows. It also said he now lives in the "northeast us".

Oh, so that makes it okay for him to yank all of our chains for absolutely no real reason that I can ascertain? Goody. When I have a monitor question in the future how can I be sure he's not peeing on my leg and telling me it's raining? He has lost credibility with people who didn't even know him. I wouldn't buy air from the guy now.

I beg to differ. This was no "joke" and it was not funny. I think this shining example of mental midgetry should be left right where it is for all to see. I feel if I'm going to end up with egg on my face I am perfectly capable of sticking it there myself. I do not need this this sorry excuse for a compatriot to help me with that.

I thought we were all working toward the same goals and objectives. Apparently I was wrong. If we can't get along with each other better than this, how in the heck do we present a united front to the general public?

I'm still at a loss trying to figure out just what he was trying to accomplish here with this farce.

I think he owes everyone who participated in this thread an apology, but I'm readying popsicles for folks in Hades since the former will happen around the time they get to eat them.

"Expert" or not, someone who gets enjoyment out of pulling a stunt like this deserves no respect. A "joke" is funny, this was not....and I simply can't come up with any legitimate reason for deletion of this thread.
