    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Jason name calling on any level whether towards him or his buisness is slander. I am not saying he has done right or wrong because I dont know. But what most these guys are doing here is simple Harassment. Nothing more than schoolyard bullies that should mind thier buisness unless asked.

Slander is defined as "an untruthful oral (spoken) statement about a person that harms the person's reputation or standing in the community." -[Legal Dictionary]

I would say that calling him a "Scammer" -"Person who partakes in a fraudulent business scheme"-[Dictionary.com] would NOT be slander, since selling animals as anything OTHER than what they actually are IS FRAUDULENT. (not to mention NONE of the statements made here about Chris have been "SPOKEN")... I think the word you're looking for is LIBEL, but that isn't what is happening here either... sorry.

This last comment pushed me over the fence. I was going to ask you to stay and learn about the hobby. Spend some time learning about the different morphs and how the genetics work. It's always nice to welcome new people who share the same love for these animals as we all do...it seems that's not the case.

We don't need anymore people who treat these animals like objects they can cash in on instead of the living, breathing things they are. If you admit you have no love for these animals, and you care about your bottom line first, how does it fit into your business plan to spend $200 in vet costs if one of your $50 gravid imports gets sick? Freezer time?

Why don't you invest in stocks, coins, or stamps....anything that won't suffer if/when you get bored with it. Something that isn't being plucked from the wild in order to lay eggs (maybe) and subsequently die, while flooding an already saturated market. It's all about the money, right? Invest in something non-living.

You do not do any research when it comes to selling ball python morphs. You dont do any research as to how to go about the process properly, you have been told, time and again that you are and have misrepresented animals, you said youd fix it, then the next time you have an ad, or a video, its another misrepresentation.

Either do crap the right way, or get lost. Youve had MORE than enough chances to "get it"

Let me help you out since you admittedly don't know -- the guy is selling $10 import snakes for thousands of dollars saying they are morphs -- he's been told repeatedly they are not but still continues with his to try to sell them as morphs. And this is just the tip of the iceburg. If you want to continue to support him then spend a couple thousand dollars on one of his "morphs" and then find out it's worth $10 and come back and tell me how good you feel about supporting the scammer.
 
I never once said I supported him or agree'd with what he was doing. What I dont agree with is how he is constantly harrassed and bullied on his site. I also dont agree with people attacking his threads. The buyer will inform themselves, the schoolyard bullies dont need to stick their nose in where it doesnt belong.

This site is ABOUT alerting others to the wrongdoings of members in this hobby.

Theres no rule saying you cannot question the legitimacy of an ad on this site. If there is something going on, that others should be aware of, others WILL make it known.

This hobby, and misrepresentation within is IS our business. Whether YOU want to admit it or not! Why would anyone in this community, or elsewhere ever want to Allow someone to misrepresent animals if they know better? Why would they keep out of it? Because its not their business to make others aware????? Think again.

In this business/hobby the people who have information about any seller SHOULD do whatever it takes to get that information out there. How would you feel if you were the guy that got screwed because no one took the time to inform you of a seller's previous exploits?

I would say that it is important for breeders and hobbyists that are serious about this hobby to fight for it. There will always be people out there trying to exploit people by lying to make a buck. I wouldn't call the people who try to fight that exploitation "Schoolyard Bullies". Someone NEEDS to fight it, or the hobby would be overrun with trash.

If you want to "make the customer aware" a PM will suffice no need to lower yourself to name calling and slander on a public forum.

You are making others aware with this BOI section. If you have an issue with a seller take it up in here not on the guys thread. No one is telling people "you can get it cheaper somewhere else"... it's completely unrelated. If I had purchased something from an electronics store and later found out that the electronics store is actually selling broken electronics that were taken from a junkyard, and selling them as brand new electronics, then YES, by all means I WOULD be in that store telling EVERYONE all about the scumbaggary that was taking place.

I do not see anything wrong with posting on a classified ad if it is relevant to the ad. Posting a link to the BOI to inform potential buyers of threads seems to be perfectly fine to me. As far as bashing or badmouthing on the classified ad, I'm not sure what exactly you are referring to, but questioning what is actually for sale is NOT badmouthing OR bashing...

Actually, yes i would. Too bad for that company, they can either match it, or lose the sale completely!!! Im all for telling people where something is cheaper if i have the chance to.

If i were a liar and a scammer.... You better make others aware!!!

Its not your place to say what should happen on this site. That is up to Rich, the owner, and the mods. Apparantly, there does not seem to be a problem with such action as alerting people to the misdeeds of a person in question. So i suggest you get off your high horse and quit trying to dictate how this site should run.

Like I said before if you want to make the customer aware do it through PM or here in the BOI there is no need to interfere with this guys forsale threads. Yes nothing wrong with inquiring about an animal but to follow him around and say these kinds of thing on his classifieds is just wrong and shows no maturity.

If you want to inform motential buyers then send them a pm.

No. Its quite simple to link to a current BOI thread to make others aware of the potential risk of dealing with that kind of seller. If you dont like that kind of attention, Lock your ads, or dont post them here at all. Quite simple really.

Actually there are a couple scammers that do this with some regularity!!! It gives them the image that the site still welcomes them...... :rolleyes:
 
I am not saying how this site should be run I am simply stating my opinion and I am free to do so. If you dont like it dont read it my friend.

I am not on no high horse I simply dont agree with how you guys are treating this guy. Sorry if you dont like it but tough luck I will continue to voice my opinion just like you do.

Problem with your logic is most people could provide enough proof That they are not a scammer etc. Chris refuses to sell $10 imports as such. Just because someone says its a desert ghost or whatever he is peddling doesn't make it so. Prove they are. Thats something he cannot do or refuses to do. Most ethical businessman would have little problem proving the genetics of what they are selling.

So... you suggest that I PM EVERY member of fauna and inform them that "RarePythons" is a group of lowlife scumbags that sell their wild caught normals as proven breeder morphs out of the back of a hydroponics shop that contains ALL the equipment you'd need to start up a healthy POT colony (and pretty much nothing else)...

Seems like EVERY member of fauna wouldn't care... BUT... posting a link to the BOI, or questioning them directly on their classified ad doesn't seem all that bad to me (a bit easier and more convenient for everyone)... It's unfortunate the the questions I would be apt to ask are not really ones that they'd care to answer honestly... such as, "are you sure your "morph" isn't just a normal?"...
