Who says?
Ray, you yourself posted up the exact wording of the USPS regualtions on shipping reptiles (even if you ignore them), so shipping through them would obviously be illegal.
Shipping through FedEx, DHL or UPS for TURTLES or SNAKES requires a special permit through THEM because of issues with salmonella (turtles/tortoises) and escape issues (snakes). Anyone can call and ask. This is why you even had to get a permit to ship snakes through FedEx, am I correct? So, how is it illegal, well, because it is against the law.
As far as threatening a lawsuit, it is not a threat. You have made it very plain in several public arenas that I am a thief in your mind, when indeed I did not break any laws or conduct myself in any way that could be considered illegal. Just because PAYPAL reopened the case because of the illegal shipping issues, does not make me a thief. Just because I CANNOT legally ship the tortoise back to you does not make me a thief. Actually, if you look, after Paypal originally denied my claim for a refund, and even AFTER your rather rude emails about your little "victory," all that I asked for was for you to take my name off of your hall of shame. Why did it need to go there in the first place with the original way it was put up (thief tried to steal $116.50 but was stopped, thank you paypal")? And why was my name suddenly made in bigger, bolder letters than the other people listed on that page? I did not even ask for you to pay the vet bills I have incurred (and will continue to incur), or for another penny, but as an ethical business person, you should have at least offered some other resolution besides "ship me back the turtle illegally" - its called business ethics, something that seem to have escaped you from even well before this situation between me and you.
And now, since I have responded to this post, why has your home page suddenly been changed to your hall of shame, and not the old page with all of your pictures? And if it was "because of these people and people like them" that made you shut down your online business as quoted on your site now, why is it that only a select few of us have been put on this great defaming website? Posting names is one thing, but posting personal information (full names, addresses, etc) without someone's permission, and with false pretenses, is illegal. Ask any lawyer, including your friend Pam's who posted on your forum that she works ever-so-closely with. Or would you like to speak to my business lawyer who also deals in internet business law (remember, I run a website business also, I am no "kid from myspace" as it was so eloquently put on your forum)?
If the only response you can come back with to all of the questions people have asked is that I am lame because you do not think I have a leg to stand on, that is pretty sad. You have posted insulting, defaming words and flat out LIES about me on several places on the internet (I have screenshots and proof, where is yours about me doing the same?), when this is only the second forum I have ever posted anything about you on, and have done so, once again, in a professional manner without the need to use profanity or threats. I have never called you a crook or a thief, but have said you have bad business ethics, and that is easily proven by your reputation and track record. All I am doing is reiterating what has been said by many other people that have dealt with you, and yet I have remained professional.
Ask me anything Ray about this situation, I will answer you with complete honesty, and with proof to back up my answers (if you have not already seen what proof I have posted). Now, why can't you do the same? You can't answer one single question that anyone has asked you about this situation, just come back with the same childish remarks and claims that you yourself flamed against earlier in this post, before I ever posted up my story.
You know, my children have this thing that they do - when they get caught in something they know they are wrong for and have no good answer for "why", they try to avoid the real situation at hand and revert attention to something else, or place blame on their sibling (or whoever they can). For some reason, this sounds very similar, don't you agree guys?
