Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Heads up to everyone... on 7/4 I ordered a 48" cage and stand from showcasecages.com and spent $950 for the cage and shipping. It got here on the 9th and I tried to set it up only to find out the aluminium rails were bent and installed crooked so the glass doors would not fit on the cage. I immediately tried tocall but got no answer so I emailed them. I've emailed them at least 12 times since then and gotten absolutely no answer. I figured for the hell of it I'd email them from another address right after one of my emails and got an answer within 5 min they answered and answered each email till I told them it was really me at which point they stopped answering me. I don't want my money back or something free all I want is to be able to use the cage I paid $950 for I don't think that's too much to ask... I filed a report with the bbb today I'm hoping that gets their attention... just wanted to warn everyone not to buy their overpriced hunks of plastic that will just take up space and collect dust... by far the worst customer service I've ever seen!
 
Ehh BBB is pointless IMO as its just a bullying tactic that site does and they have no legal power. Hell some well known millionaire companies have bad BBB ratings yet still bank millions annually.

File a dispute with the payment method you did as you are still within the deadline since its only been 2 weeks or so since order. This will get his attention fast and get it fixed or money back.
 
I can take any pics you would like and I saved every single email I sent them. I also have the 2 emails they sent me when I placed the order. After I got it I immediately tried to call but no answer so I sent them an email asking them to fix the problem. In my emails I have stated many times that I'm not looking for anything free I just when to be able to use what I bought in fact I was planning on buying 3 more and was so excited to buy one of these cages. I'm not some scam artist who wants something free if that were the case I would have already filed a claim with the credit card company. I spoke with them about what my options were and they would be happy to reverse the charges but I'm trying to be a decent human being and give them a chance to fix it so I can use it. Once they fix it I would really like a few more so all my cages match I'm just so scared to buy anything else from them. When I get home I'll post all the emails I've sent from the computer
 
I have one of their cages I bought a few years back .. it works well, but not worth the money you pay. Interestingly enough, the tracks were straight and fine but the two sliding glass doors when closed left a gap that the snake got out of (we found him) and I ended up having a single piece of glass cut and applied silicone and handles so can lift in and out of track closest to interior lip.
 
I filed a claim with the credit card company today. I sent the representative there pictures of the cage as well as all of the emails I have sent to them. I was told this case seems pretty clear cut and I should get my money back... that's not what I wanted tho I just wanted them to fix the cage so I could use it but I guess I can't make them do that
 
This seems very out of character for Mark. I have dealt with him many times over the past 5 years and his customer service has been second to none!! He has always replied in a very timely manner. He has replaced glass that did not quite fit just right to make the doors slide easier. I too would like to see the emails and photos.
 
Sorry my computer decided to stop working I'll do my best to post everything from my phone... it's going to take more time but I'll do my best... I took a bunch of screen shots of the emails but I can't get them to upload so I'll just have to give cutting and pasting a go... Sorry didn't expect my computer to break and the car break in the same day I'm not ignoring posting the proof or avoiding it I just have a lot on my plate right now...

There are at least 6 more that I will post in the morning but I did not get a single response to any of those. Like I said I just want it fixed I don't want the money and I was looking forward to buying at least 2 more I'm not a scumbag looking for anything free that's why I've waited so long to file a formal complaint with the credit card I've just been hoping and praying he answers me and fixes it that really all I want
 
Like I said the glass doesn't fit at all on one side answer on the other side the glass falls out towards me when I try to slide it over at all... the rails just aren't straight and on the right side bent in which prevents the glass from fitting in
 
Not saying we dont trust what you say but do you have pics to back your claim. Without pics its kinda null and void unless you send the cage back as proof then if he is crooked you lose all together. I would try to get your money back through the source you used to pay for it.
 
I'm waiting on proof myself. I've read over and over that the cage was bad but there is no proof. No proof, no claim. Always have proof ready to post when going to the boi if you wish to be taken seriously.
 
if some one would tell me how to post pics with my phone id be happy to post them... like i said my computer is not working so my phone is all i have right now... and I told him in a few emails i dont want my money back... I keep saying this but apparently none of you are getting it... I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO USE THE CAGE LIKE IT WAS ADVERTISED. I dont want money back... I just want him to fix it... Thats all ive wanted from the start... I bent the rails to get the glass in but it is extremely tight so it doesnt slide at all and i have pics on my phone of a straight edge against the rail to show how crooked it is and of the glass in it and how it doesnt even go to the edge on one side. id be happy to post them if some one would be willing to help me figure out how. If he doesnt want to fix it i will happily send it back for a full refund and shipping cost. I am not in any way shape or form looking for something free here. I spent a whole lot of money on this thing and just want it to work the way it should. if the glass is in it i cant slide it open what good does that do me? i have to completely take it out to get into the cage. with 2 lizards that would love to jump out that would make feeding them every day and cleaning every day very hard. I didnt spend $950 to have to go through such a hassle every day. I dont think thats fair do you?
 
also I know its kind of wrong but I placed another order with him and put the credit card number missing one number and in the comments told him if he fixed the one i have i would give him the last number to place the order. he answered once and said i dont know how i can fix a cage i havent shipped to you yet so i wrote back and sent him copies of all the mail i had sent him and once again no answer at all... i know hes getting my emails ive even sent them from another address so there is no excuse... the lack of customer service is honestly disgusting! id rather he had told me to go f*** myself then just ignore me its really not cool at all
 
I was able to create a album and get 2 of the pics i have to upload so if you go to my profile you can see the 2 pics... as for the others it keeps giving me an error that the files are too large any one have any ideas for how to upload those?

Ive said many times I had all the proof ready... I didnt ask my pos computer to shit the bed on me... I posted 2 pics for you on my profile so go take a look so you can "take me seriously" I'm not a liar at all and would have posted all sorts of proof as soon as i made this post if the computer hadnt died I'm very sorry i wasnt able to do it right away i wish i could have... not to make excuses for myself ive had a whole lot go wrong in the last 2 weeks... computer died, cars caliper exploded, card vacuum hose split, card head gasket blew spraying oil EVERYWHERE! trust me i wish i had more time to give this issue the attention i should be but life hasnt given me that option i will do my best to provide any more proof you request in a more timely manor from now on.

Usually, I would just pass these threads by without comment, but...

You did not provide any proof of the damage to him in the many emails you sent, yet you contacted the BBB, made a BOI thread, disputed the charges on your credit card and now we can see that you are using the cage.

Why would he want to take it back now? Why should he give you a full refund plus pay shipping on a cage you are using? If this cage is so bad that you want it fixed or a refund, why are you using it? Personally, and maybe this is just me, I wouldn't use a cage that I had a conflict with and would possibly need to return.

As far as the latest credit card shenanigans, this alone tells me that you are not someone to do business with regardless of who is right or wrong in this thread. This is not the way to get him to help you out. It also isn't just "kind of wrong" it borders on fraud and blackmail; it's all kinds of wrong.

You are understandably frustrated with the lack of communication, but you are disputing the charges on a cage that you are obviously using, making aliases for yourself, and using false information to get at the owner.

I wouldn't answer to someone making these threats and using these tactics either until proof of the damage was provided.

I don't see why it's such a crime for the OP to try to use a different email to contact the seller when the seller has completely ignored their attempts to make contact. The OP isn't being unscrupulous here. They spent a LARGE amount of money on a cage that doesn't work, and the seller won't even respond to their inquiries.

The words "fraud" and "blackmail" are far too extreme for what is happening here, unless you're referring to the fraudulent advertisement of a cage that's supposed to work....
