Here's my take on the whole situation. Adam, you know good and well that you were an ass awhile back. You made some people mad. Now you expect to pop back in and everything is just supposed to be forgotten. I don't know if the "coming out of the closet" thread was an attempt at some sympathy or just more attention, but both seem likely with the way you act around here.

As I said in chat, your best bet is to try to stop being such a drama queen. Lay low. Post information, don't attack anyone in threads, and if you want to get in chat, don't expect to force your way into conversations where people who don't like you much are talking, because you'll either be ignored or told to basically go away. Eventually people will forgive and forget i'm sure, but not when you constantly make threads like this and "omg i'm the victim! quit being so mean."

No one HAS to be nice to you on here, and you need to get that through your thick skull. ESPECIALLY after the way you acted before. So if you want them to START acting nice towards you, you need to quit whining, lay low for a bit, and try not to stir the pot anymore.

If you're just dying to be the center of attention, I'd suggest another forum more suited for this, or perhaps some AOL chatrooms.

This is not the forum or the audience for someone like him to start bragging about how much he thinks he knows.

If he thinks people are intolerant of his juvenile self centered piddycrap, he's going to get a real short, angry lesson in intolerance when he starts incorrectly regurgitating halfassed care sheet quotes into the discussion forums.

Knowledge is both quantitative and qualitative and he hasn't got enough of either kind on any subject to be a teacher.

Look I've seen his BS here and over on cs.com, it's the same in both places..."poor me, me, me, drama, drama, drama,insult, insult, insult" He has actually managed to create a minor rift over there on cs.com becasue he takes advantage of people that don't know his game ( and that is exactly what it is! a narcissistic game). This site sucks in a huge sort of way. It's really a shame, because it's so well put together and everything. There's a forum for everything and tons to do, but the people here are like people you'd meet at a bar. Not my ideal crowd tbh.

I'm not going to paint a target on my chest just so it's easier for everyone to shoot at me. I treat people how they treat me. I always, ALWAYS start out as kind and decent as possible. I have been nasty, loud-mouthed, cocky, and flat-out rude on both sites. I would have to say that my language has been worse here while my overall savageness has been worse on CS.

I can't reconcile these two statements from your intro thread. I don't think you can either. Friendships are BUILT. I am of the opinion that an individual who manages to get themselves banned from CS should not be given much leeway on Fauna and vise versa.

Two different sites with some slightly different policies regarding what constitutes acceptable behavior and two sets of mods- but still, if they manage to actually get kicked off one of them it's going to be because of an established pattern of behavior that they aren't likely to change.

The warning systems are, as far as I know, separate from one another but when a user is as prominently problematic as this kid is showing himself to be, I don't think they deserve patience or second (fifteenth) chances.

So far he's been banned from the cornsnake site for accumulated misconduct, attacked the Fauna mods and members, vomited juvenile drama into multiple threads and forums, the evidence is showing that he lied in attacking a vendor on the BOI and has certainly lied in the complaints he had about his time in the Fauna chat.

And has contributed... nothing. Of value. Anywhere.

I would be glad if hes banned, but NOT because he is asking for it. There is a very large difference. The more crap he posts... the more crap he has to make up for, if someday later, he grows up.

Just to clarify... I am of the opinion that this should be the case when they make themselves so very visible for the same kind of behavior on both sites. Not necessarily as a fully integrated policy that causes extra work for the mods. Cases like this- the workload is already there, I just believe that the judgment should consider the behavior across both sites.

I can't speak to his actions, or his banning, at CS, but his "being booted" from here was not a disciplinary action. Adam is petulant and whiny...but those traits alone aren't going to get him banned from this site. Certainly, if he continues to be negative about this site, he may ultimately be shown the door, but it isn't likely to be the result of public outcry. (If that were the way things were done here, many others would be on the hit list before Adam, lol.)
It will be because of violating the rules of this site...or just pi$$ing off one of the moderators enough to get the right sequence of buttons clicked.

While this is most certainly the Feedback forum, the "feedback" intended is for this site, and in association, the people running it. However, it was never intended to be feedback for the actions and antics of other members.

I have heard various theories presented, including the self professed "mental issues", and well as theoretical offerings of trolling and or/ attention whoring. Without personally spending the time and effort to read everything Mr. Boots has posted both here and on cornsnakes.com, my decision is being based on only that information and evidence that I HAVE seen so far.

It is my opinion that Adam Boots has been, is, and will be a damaging presence on this site, quite likely disrupting any thread or discussion he participates within here. Whether this is accidental because of any condition he suffers from, or intentional because of what his own personal goals are, is actually irrelevant. Perhaps it is something he can grow out of. Perhaps not. But I believe his actions so far dictate that now is not the time for him to be on this site.

So with that in mind, I am banning him for a year, with the hope that a year's worth of maturity may do him (and us) some good, and save all the rest of us from the aggravation that normally results from having to put up with someone striving to reach an acceptable maturity level while being completely oblivious to their own deficiency.
