In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Repti-Racks- Bad customer service

"Quick ship" must be something new because we were never offered that option when the ordered was placed back in February. I don't think we would have paid extra anyway but either way, I think 26 weeks is far too long to be waiting on a $1300 order that was paid in full, upfront. I hate to see what the lead times will be now for those that don't pay extra for the quick ship option. :ack2:

The website says on small orders. I don't what a small order means. But yours may have been considered a not small order. I will say that time frame wouldn't sit well with me.

Ah, ok, that would make sense then. My order was for 4 cages: (1) 47"x23"x23", (2) 47"x23"x12", (1) 47"x23"x15" so I wouldn't consider that a small order really.

Well, no contact today. But, I made an error in when I said 30 days. It's actually 31 days. So, hopefully tomorrow!

yea I'm still waiting too. It's been since feb. I messaged him again a few days ago, telling him it's been 6 months and I just want my cages.

At this time, Since hes been viewing the thread off an on, id just file suits against him for the fraud hes causing.

Sorry but it dont take this long to build cages.

You're right, it shouldn't, but apparently he's a busy guy? All I want is my last cage. Once I have it, I'll post to let everyone know that I did receive it. I honestly don't think he's trying to cheat anyone. He's just SUPER SLOW at getting the cages done. He needs to hire help or this thread is never going to end. I know he wants to keep cost down but eeesh!

I agree... it's still very frustrating :ack2:

Novel concept. More cages being produced equals more revenue. More revenue means more employees. More employees equals increased production. Increased production equals more revenue. The cycle continues. I think if our friend repti racks would hire some hands, he would turn a quicker profit.

Still no answer to my email inquiring about status, and asking if I should expect to get my enclosure by the time promised. First time I haven't got a response to my emails, that can't be a good sign. Today makes 31 days. I feel for everyone waiting on enclosures to be finished. If some of the people haven't got their enclosures that were ordered 6 months ago, I don't see mine being finished anytime soon.

Has anyone had any luck with going through Paypal to get your money back? I'm about to do some research and see if I can get a refund and just go with an enclosure maker that will hit dates promised. I mean, it clearly states on my invoice that I paid for quick ship of 14-31 days. Shouldn't I be able to tell them I haven't received my product within the terms agreed to so therefore I would like a refund?

I suggest you go ahead and open a Paypal dispute. I believe their cutoff time for filing is 45 days and you are still within that:
I ordered a single unit from Cold Blooded Enclosures formerly Repti-Racks back on July 16th.

The problem with 'working with' a vendor who is consistently late is that if they request more time, that can, intentionally or not, put you past the window of opportunity for your Paypal dispute. You can always close the dispute if you get the cages, (CAUTION: NEVER close a dispute because the other party promises something, ONLY close a dispute if you actually have a refund or the item- once a dispute is closed it is almost never reopened by Paypal) but you can't open a dispute past their cutoff time.

I sent off another email politely asking for an order update again like yesterday. I also expressed my intent to open a Paypal dispute. We will see if I get any response. If I don't see any communication by tomorrow morning I will get the ball rolling on a dispute.

I just received word that the CNC guy for the manufacturing of the parts was on vacation for a few weeks and the temp. CNC guy wasn't cutting it, for what I assume he means quality or speed. My parts are scheduled to come in tomorrow, building it next week, and said that I should be ready for pickup next week.

I wonder if they realizes that a CNC does the cutting for you? All the person has to do is set the parameters for what they're cutting and let the machine take care of the rest. Maybe they meant the saw guy, not a CNC person? I don't know. So, this will go another I guess. Next Friday a Paypal dispute will be placed if I don't see anything.

Hopefully everything will be finished, but delays are not uncommon with this seller. I'm glad to see you are keeping an eye on the calendar since next Friday is getting close to the 45 day deadline.
Myself, I would have just filed today given this seller's history of delays.

For you, yes, you might be able to get a refund since it's been less than 45 days. For me or anyone else that has been waiting, no, we can't get a refund through paypal because they have a 45 day limit to open a dispute. If the dispute isn't opened before then, your case automatically gets closed after they review it.

That's why one should always use a credit card with PayPal - better customer protections. Make your claims with the credit card company, if necessary.

good luck guys, ill say this much the only time i gotten any where with this seller is when i told him i was going to do a charge back with my cc company that kind of scared them.glad to see i wasn't the only one with these delays because some thought i was bsing with repti racks.plus personally the product given wasn't even worth it for the price tag after getting it live and learn.

You charged it back after it was in transit to you... That would scare me too.

no i never charged it back when it was in transit to me please get your story right.the seller repti racks delayed the shipping and never sent it to the person i sold it to.when i found out the cage was never shipped to the buyer as well as trying to rip him off on a cage size that was already paid for i said i would do a charge back as soon as i said that he some how sent out the cage to me asap

funny part is he also claimed he could never get into contact with my seller but i some how got in contact with him constantly via email/fauna and had a number as well.

Well from what I gathered it was in transit to the person you sold the rack to before you even received it. As it was being shipped you told him you were doing a chargeback so he had it stopped at a hub and re-routed. There's already another thread on you and the "bad guy" of this thread so I won't beat a dead horse on this thread.

My point was, you aren't someone I would recommend ANYONE take ANY advice from.

I do believe the OP should tell the rack builder you are doing a chargeback and then proceed to do so. Just make sure you tell him you are doing so first so he doesn't find a nice surprise the next day. Be courteous even though he has not been ideal to you.
