In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Reptidoc Dr. Darryl G. Walker

The last tests came back and as soon as I get hard copies I will post them here, the snake hatchling I had tested last is negative for crypto, they did a Polymerase Chain Reaction test on the samples sent to the lab. It is the last I can do, I was hoping for answers and some closure on this. Now that I know they are clear of crypto I am going to place the remaining hatchlings and one adult from the breeder into pet homes locally. There is nothing I can do now but take the losses on them and move on. At last weigh on the hatchlings they weighed 10,10,11,12 grams respectively at 8 months old and all are on a five day feeding schedule. The remaining ones are eating and three of them are not showing the same signs as the male hatchling that has been tested last. Doc did pay for the testing on the last hatchling and for the necropsies on the two that died last. I am not bashing him or anyone on this just wanted answers.

Just wanting to clear something up at least on my end. Doc offered to pay for the necropsies on the two hatchlings, but as of today, I still don't have a bill from the lab to inform anyone as to how much I need to be reimbursed, so if Doc has paid something to Bob, the person to whom the money actually needs to go to might like to be in on the transaction.

The test results for salmonella came back positive today. The hard copies are in the mail headed to me. So I don't know what else I can do. As to date three have died and one is recovering. The caramel stripe het butter female was replaced with a amber female which cost me $5 to get her. After that I lost a hypo sunkissed male and a female amel het hypo diffused. Even though not much has come up in the testing I have started placing the survivors out in pet homes at no cost to the new owners. They have been told of the snakes history and about the dead ones. I have two more hatchlings to place out and an adult amel. I can not keep them in the collection and use them in my breeding projects and chance what ever it is or was getting into them and their offspring. I am not bashing anyone but there are over two dozen hatchlings that have died in the same manner and I really wish I was not the only one to have tried to find out what was causing it. It may not seem like a big loss to most but is a big loss to me and future projects here. I really hope no one else has to go thru this it has not been a good few months dealing with this. I want to thank all those who have given kind words and words of wisdom. As soon as I get the hard copies all will go up here. Doc Walker has been kept up to date and I sent him an email today telling him of the test results on the salmonella. If anyone has more questions you can email me at [email protected]

Here are the results hard copy for crypto and salmonella they had to be mailed to me and am sorry it took a few to get them posted if anyone needs a bigger copy just let me know and I will email one to you. I also have the receipts to where they were paid for if anyone wants to see them.

So what is the bottom line here ?????? What is going to be done to make things right ????

I have no idea, I have sent everything to Doc Walker he did send me the money to pay for the tests I had run here and not the ones Susan had done.(The tests Susan had done she is waiting on a bill to come back from the company I believe) But other than that he has not contacted me. I am thankful the rest of my collection is healthy and thriving. But these snakes are being rehomed to pet homes at no cost to the new owners and they are being told why and the history of them. The last sick male had kept a couple meals down but is regurging again so he may have to be euthanized. That leaves one female hatchling and an adult female. I don't know what will be done to make this right I do know it is a big loss for me as well as for the others that have lost hatchlings in the same manner.

Then I can't see how Doc is havibng no problems on his end. Something don't sound right here. Too many people are haveing problems except the breeder. himmm I'm keeping my mouth shut for once.

Yes something really isn't right here. 8 month old hatchlings at 10,9,11,12 grams been here since feb 19th so really have not had enough time with me to gain a lot. Other hatchlings of the same age from other breeders are over 30 grams and thriving. People can say what they want and come to their own conclusions. No I don't know what is causing all of them to die, I really wish I did. But seems too many people want to forget that more than mine have died and not everyone that has gotten them are "noobs". Maybe it is something derived from stress caused by less than FedEx Certified shipping methods. Who knows for sure. I still have the last box I was shipped from the breeder it is less than 6 inches tall and about 5.5 inches wide and held an adult and a hatchling in it and no insulation. It is easy to lay blame here or there and forget there is a problem. And if that is the case again with this then so be it but I know I have done everything I can to figure it out and protect the rest of my collection. I have not bashed anyone on here and won't but it is time for everyone to open their eyes and see it has not gone away. I have been dealing with this since March and I am spent. My nerves are done and is time to move on. Happy herping all and I wish you all the best.

The crypto test that was done...Is it a definitive type of test? Acid fast testing for crypto needs done a minimum of three times before you can be relatively positive the snake is crypto free.

A lot of people, myself included, did apologize to Josh.

Doc needs to apologize and answer for these issues. Not the duck and dodge routine.

I'm glad I did not jump on the band wagon on this one . I was one of the few that listen what Josh had to say . I'm glad I was one of the few to question what was going on. That is the problem with forums as soon as some one has something negative to say about someone that is well known and/or liked too mane people jump to their defense instead of hearing out the whole story before making negative comments. I'm glad I keep a neutral oppion untill I heard all the facts before making a decision who was wrong.

Add me to the list of people with a dead hatchling from Darryl. I received a female hypo opal stripe from him on November 4th and I just got home to find her dead in her tub. I also saw the bad guy thread on Darryl, but it was such a mess to wade through that I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

The threads are here for our benefit, sometimes it takes a bit of time to read through a thread but the effort is worthwhile. I'm sorry your snake died :(
