In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Reptidoc Dr. Darryl G. Walker

The threads are here for our benefit, sometimes it takes a bit of time to read through a thread but the effort is worthwhile. I'm sorry your snake died :(

Thanks, Lucille. I ended up reading about 5 or 6 pages into the thread and it seemed like I was in for about 10 more pages of fruitless argument. Lesson learned though, next time I'll read through.

Add me to the list of people with a dead hatchling from Darryl. I received a female hypo opal stripe from him on November 4th and I just got home to find her dead in her tub. I also saw the bad guy thread on Darryl, but it was such a mess to wade through that I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I am so sorry. I think this thread is going to be much more beneficial for those like you who did read to the end.

Josh Hardy got treated like crap in this thread. Because of this, five people who experienced snake deaths from the same source were afraid to speak out initially. Thank God Rich made the Killing the Messenger sticky, and some people got the courage to tell their stories. Others have chosen to remain silent. The BOI helps no one if people are afraid to talk about what happened to them.

I'm sorry about your baby, Katherine. Fortunately, there are many honest, reputable breeders out there who WILL stand behind their snakes. An unexpected death can happen to anyone. It is the follow-up that reveals the breeder's true colors...

I am scared to death about my new baby.........Praying that he'll be healthy and I'll be happy with him.

Doc offered to ship him before my final payment has made it to him, and he's eating most of the shipping, too. Said he just wants me to be happy. I hope I'm happy with him.

Too many people do this Nanci. Most people are too fast to criticize, some should know better by now and not to be so fast to jump all over somebody. I know this from being on that end of the stick. I was told by someone that is on cornsnakes to come to this thread. They told me about this jerk named Josh and post against him to help Doc out. My response was I did not think that Josh was totally wrong. That just because we all liked Doc walker there was no reason that he could be selling bad animals. I gave both parties the benifit of the dought. My mom told me years ago to always remain neutral when hearing a argument till all parties envolved have said their story. She said that there is this person story and the other person story and the truth lies somewhere in the middle. If people would just stop jumping all over someone and instead of putting them down till the feel traped in a corrner to the point they cant even defend themselvs in a normal maner . This is what they did to Josh and because of their actions other people got hurt. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU.
I'm so glad I got involved, I was one of the first person to say hold on people instead of attacking Josh be civil and lets dicuss this because getting Josh mad ls not letting get his point accross. Josh has thanked me so many times for sticking up for him. It is crap like this that got me so discussed to post on cornsnakes.com and made me get my own subforum there so I can fairly defend myself agenist people with computer balls but would not have the guts to talk to me like that in person and the people that just like to stasrt trouble.

Josh did not have any evidence and he waited six months before coming forward. It was his word against Doc Walker's at the time and as things progressed it did look as though he were just being a jerk. With no actual proof either way it's hard to form an educated opinion as to what really happened. Does that excuse the harsh and nasty behavior of many who disagreed with Josh? Absolutely not. It is possible to disagree with someone and not bash them at the same time.

That being said. I've since had the most pleasant business experience with Josh. He's a great guy and I would recommend doing business with him. In fact, I hope to do more business with him in the future! Thanks for the great transaction Josh, you were so great to work with!

Doc Walker on the other hand... I have been tempted by some of the genetics of snakes he's selling and talked with him a couple times about getting something. Fortunately, I've always had a pang of misgiving and never gone through with a sale. I have come to a solid decision that it simply isn't worth the risk.

What sparked the pangs of misgiving, if you don't mind my asking?

Well, it was last year, after reading this thread and I was going to purchase from Doc Walker because at the time I didn't believe Josh. I emailed Doc and we started working out a deal. Then he discovered that I was one of this supporters from this thread and he offered me a couple of free males to thank me for standing up for him. I was completely sold until I got another email from him saying the Pewter female I wanted wasn't optimal and that he didn't want to send her.

The Least Expensive Opals I have are:
1. Opal (Het Hypo)(66% Poss Stripe or Motley) $100 or
2. Opal Motley (Het Stripe)$200----I will sell her to you for $175.
Parents are Opal (Het Motley) Female x Hypo Opal (Het Stripe) Male

I also have:
Opal Stripes (Het Hypo)--$300------$250 for you.
Parents are Opal Stripe Female x Hybino Stripe (Het Opal) Male

.

Regarding you original Snakes:

I want to send you only optimum animals. The Female Pewter is smaller than I want her to be so I will not send her to you.
The Male Pewter seems ok and just ate again yesterday. I thought I would send Him along with a Female Hypo Blood (Het Pewter) Female that is more established. Is that ok? I will still be sending the Butter Stripe and the Caramel Stripe (Het Butter) Pair.

Dr. Darryl G. Walker

At first I shrugged it off, but after thinking about it, I decided not to go through with the order.

Then this year he sent me an email to see if I was interested in getting some snakes from him, he offered me a good deal if I decided to get something. My funds for snakes this year came from selling hatchlings from my two clutches, which I told him and said once I made some sales I may get a snake or two.

I later heard about what happened to the hatchlings Bob and others got. I'm so glad I found out about that before ordering snakes from Doc. So the second time it wasn't so much a misgiving as a blatant warning from the experience of others... But the first time... very much a misgiving. :(

I still have all emails from Doc if anyone feels I should post everything.

Thank you Em for your insight on the subject.
I too have almost purchased a few animals from him in the past and due to the amount of deaths in other threads, decided to back out.

Also, I’d like to note that I have had a great transaction with Josh Hardee in the past. I’ve got a beautiful opal male thanks to him.

Fatman, check out the other Doc Walker thread for the answer to this question.

Tara, I have read all of the other thread and no where can I find where Doc as answered that question. If you could please tell me the post number I would really appreciate it.

So I ask the question again.

I got a question for Doc. How often were you feeding the hatchlings? Every 7 days, 10 days, 14days, 21days, never?

He stated in an email (that was posted by the OP of the other thread CatEyedLady) that he is feeding every 7-10 days. I don't remember a post number, sorry.

Mine do get fed every seven days and they are growing QUICKLY! They sure don't stay small getting fed every 7 days.
