    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just wanted to warn everyone not to order from this place.
Before Christmas I ordered 6 under tank heaters and rheostat and it was to arrive by the next Monday. I spoke with someone and was assured it would be here in time for my geckos to arrive.
That next Tuesday still nothing was here. I called and was passed around till finally someone said they had just arrived that day and they would be sent out and at my door by Thursday and good news it was the updated version of the UTH's and they were much better. I explained why I needed them and he agreed it was bad they did not send an email stating they were on back order. Peter said he would send them that day.
I waited and nothing came again so Monday I called and spoke with Peter who said he forgot to ship them, that it was his fault and I was irritated but still kind at this point and explained my situation with cold geckos. He stated he would definitely send them that day and throw in some free stuff. I said I did not care about the free stuff just send my order. He said they would be here by Thursday and since I was getting more geckos and would need more heat I could pay him more of my money to add more heaters to the order and the shipping would not be more. With a laugh I kindly told him I would not be spending any more money with them since I still have yet to recieve my first order. He very kindly promised they would arrive by Thursday with out a doubt and was pretty convincing. Surprise nothing was here Thursday.
I called again the next Monday and of course Peter was not in anymore and I still being kind explained I needed my heaters and they said they had not shipped and I should call back when Peter was in.
Yet another week went by and I called today and asked for Peter. They said "sure hang on", then he said "may I ask who is calling?". I told him who it was and after a long wait Peter was not available. I am extremely upset at this point and my kindness has left me and I asked for a refund and was told that I could not get a refund but since the rheostat was on back order I could wait another week for them to ship. I told him not to bother and what a great company he was all the while he had attitude to start with and he was supposedly the manager.
I know they are full of poo and have had everything to ship for weeks but failed to do it.
They are horrible with customer service and could care less once they get your money to even send your products. They must have a high profit since they charge for products and never send them.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! DO NOT SPEND A DIME WITH THEM.
I am currently working with paypal to get a refund since I paid with my paypal master card. Keeping my fingers crossed.
 
Wow,I had just seen there website last week and was actually thinking about getting the little 10 gallon snake starter set up for my nephew..No way in heck I am gonna get that from them now..People who run a bussiness like that will get theirs one day..I hope you get your money back..As I couldnt imagine someone telling me I couldnt get my money back,even though they dont wanna ship the merchandise..Thats just rediculous..Almost as rediculous as their $1100 price tag on the super pastel..They remind me of my local pet store..He goes to snake shows and gets cheap snakes..Then sells them for 3 times what they are worth and tells me how he only makes like $10 profits of his snakes..He also guarantees they are the most healthy snakes ever,until you pay for them...He wont even guarantee them for 24 hours..Needless to say,I dont buy from him..Sorry for the rant..I hope these turds give you your money back..
 
I am glad you were smart enough to check on here first. Obviously I was not.
I did not even think of doing a BOI search since they advertise on kingsnake and places so much. I figured they had to be legit. If I had even just googled their name it would have come up with tons of bad reviews and red flags.

It makes me wonder how places like kingsnake and such will continue to allow them to advertise with all the bad publicity and reviews they get?
I guess its not their job to weed out the bad guys.

Well I lucked out..I was gonna go ahead and get it this weekend cause my nephew wants a little corn snake or somthin..I usually look at the boi daily,and didnt even think about doing a search on them..I figured they had to be legit as well,they do have a nice web page..I do hope the cc company can help you..Its one thing when a common internet criminal does this,but someone who operates a store front does it,it makes me alittle more angry..

I just received a Helix System from the Bean Farm and wanted to post a positive note about a good company to deal with. I went to their facility back in the early 90's and have dealt with them ever since. I buy all of my heat tape and thermostats from them and still have flexwatt in use since the early 80's. I have bought snakes and equipment from them with satisfaction everytime.

Reptile Depot

Wow wish I could say I am shocked to see another complaint about Reptile Depot, I know you did not check the Bio first before ordering (I made the same mistake) but you will see that they will continue to lie to you on the phone and say they will ship your order or give you fake FedEX Tracking numbers. This place is a JOKE.. I just got done faxing in my paperwork to my credit card company to get a refund on the order I placed with them.

I have purchased from the Bean Farm and Reptile Basic and they both were great.

I am also faxing in my paperwork and filed a complaint with the better business bureau, they will get back with me tomorrow.
Its annoying that so many people can not be trusted and are still out there advertising and taking peoples money.
Good luck and I hope you get your money back. I hope we get refunded on the same day so it hits them a little harder in the books. Maybe they will do better business, all you can hope for.
 
Some years ago I ordered dry goods I needed fairly quickly from them. Not only was my CC charged a ridiculous shipping fee (which they did correct/credit after 1 email and 1 phone call), but my order took nearly 3 weeks to deliver. By that time, I had already placed the same order with another company that did not let me down. Needless to say, Reptile Depot did not get any repeat business from me.

Personally, I stick with LLL or Reptile Supply (.com)
 
Reptile Depot pulled this crap with me a few months back.

I ordered a Leopard Tortoise from them on the assurance that "we have a really nice one here right now, and I can get it shipped to you tonight to arrive tomorrow!"

Needless to say, I never recieved a tracking number. So I called them,

"Good news, we'll be getting some more in on Thursday, but we sold the last 7 to someone else..."

I was irritated, but I agreed. I even told them to make sure they were healthy before shipping. He assured me he would.

Thursday, no email. No phone call. So I called on Friday. I asked if they have gotten any Leopard tortoises in yet.

"No, not yet".

I then asked for a refund.

"Sure, we'll refund your money right away."

So, I ordered a leo from a reputable breeder. Tort arrived happy and healthy the very next day.

Well, we got our credit card statement in the mail. We had not recieved a refund (this was two weeks later!)

I called them. I asked them why they didn't give me a refund.

"Well according to our internet policy, if you order online we CANNOT give you a refund. You agreed to this according to our terms and conditions."

WTF? I was so mad. I told the guy "look, you're either going to give my money back or I'm just going to call the CC company and get them to reverse charges".

RD: "Well we can still send you a leo"

Me: "I already ORDERED one from someone else and have already received one. I do not want another one."

RD: "Well, why didn't you call us sooner to see if we had any in stock?"

Me: "Why should I? As a business YOU should be contacting me about MY order that I already paid for!"

RD: "Well, we will ship one out to you."

Me: "I bet you don't even have any in stock do you?"

RD: "No, but we will soon!"

Me: "No thanks. I'm getting my money back."

RD: "We're offering to ship your product to you! Isn't that what you want?"

Me: "No. You are a horrible business if you don't give money back to a customer who paid for something that you do not even have in stock. That's called STEALING. I am getting my money back."


RD: "Do what you want."

WHAT A JERK! I think I was actually talking to that Peter guy...

I got my money back (thank god) but I would NEVER do business with them again.

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH REPTILE DEPOT

I've been caught in their trap for a few weeks now.

Ordered various hardgoods from them on Jan 2nd, got the confirmation e-mail.

Week goes by, no shipping notice. Send a few e-mails, no response.
Call them, get the runaround. Call again, told short one item, but rest shipping that night. Call back in two days, same story, shipping that night.

Been 3 weeks now and no shipping notice.

Tired of it.

E-mailed them and them they are criminals committing FRAUD. Hope they get shut down.

Filed a claim with my CC company.

STAY AWAY FROM REPTILE DEPOT!!:angry:
 
It seems to be the normal for this company.
You should file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (bbb.org). I did and I was told if they get so many investigations they will close them down. Not sure if its true but cant hurt? It only took like 2 minutes to file the complaint. They are already in their system numerous times.

I would have no problem buying dry goods from LLL. But live animals, forget about it.

Keeping on this topic, I wouldn't order anything at all from Reptile Depot. I don't know how these guys are still in business. :NoNo:

Reptiles basics will assemple them to your needs for you. you just need to notify them before finishing your order.
