    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

reptile ranch nice people awsome snakes.....

I purchased a male jungle carpet hatchling from them a few months ago. They must have improved on their shipping by then, because they packed him very well, and he's in great health. He wouldn't eat at first, I assumed it was due to stress from shipping, but now he takes pinkies like there's no tomorrow. The only problem I had with them was they refused to answer my emails about getting our UPS issue resolved. One of the UPS trucks left without some of their shipments, one of the boxes being mine, so he was stuck in Cali for an extra day (this was proven by checking the tracking info on UPS's site). Laura and her husband were quick to find out what happened, and got the package redirected to my home address for Saturday delivery. I tried to contact UPS about getting some of my money back on shipping, since they missed their deadline by 26 hours, and was told the shipper had to call them to request it. I sent them two emails asking for their help, and they never replied. I guess that goes along with their habit of "once they get the animal, who gives a s***."

thats there state of mind exactly.. ya know i told them if they will correct what was wrong in my situation with them i.e. a very sick snake... i would come here and post that they corrected there wrong.... instead i got told they will alert the authorities if i email them again....total trash... i even told them id be happy with my shipping fee's being refunded.. but they laughed at me and told me to get bent...and called me a looser....live and learn... i could have been a repeat customer.. now i will do everythingi can to ward off new customers

Just wondering if the snakes you got were healthy or were they sick?
Your first post said they were healthy.....did something happen and I missed it...If they are sick please let everyone know...... so we can prove that they still sell less then par animals!!! Got luck with the proving of hets

After what I've read on here, I'm definately NOT going to be a repeat customer. Sounds like I got lucky when I received a healthy snake :rolleyes:
 
the snakes arrived in good looking order... but when i fed the snake it regured and since the second day i had it it has been having muscle twitching
and the snake has no control of its muscles....they are still selling way less than par animals.. they told me they would give me a health garuntee.. which is one of the reasons i went with them ...when i contacted them they refused to answer me until i sent them a money request from paypal for the sick snake then they wrote me back and told me to get lost they only garuntee it will be alive when i open the box..after that it is a personal problem..then they called me a looser

I glad you posted the rest of you story... Do you have any emails to show the way they treated you....?? Not that I or any of us dont beleive you it just shows proof of the way they treat there customers..... VERY SAD!!!!
Hopfully everyone else will come and check the BOI before they BUY or deal with them....again good luck with your purchase...

I certainly hope you're still filing your dispute through paypal. After that display I sure would!

Yes, please post the emails and any pics you may have... it'll be good to have those things posted for any future inquiries.
 
We bought a triple het and had great service... As mentioned, the UPS shipping situation happened to us too (guess we were recieving the same day eh?). Calling UPS was not helpful for us, but Laura at reptile ranch fixed the shipping problem, and gave us the option of him being rerouted and shipped on saturday, or to be sent back to her and shipped out later. He arrived well packaged and in great health. Little guy has never missed a meal and is doing awesome. They guarenteed live arrival and genetics to us. Couldn't be happier with our purchase.

Jamie I would'nt be so sure you actually got a triple het after all the complaints and sick snakes the other people recieved,anybody could have a litter of hypos and say they are triple hets,if they ripped off so many other people i would'nt put it past them to do you the same way,at the price they were selling their so called triple hets for I would'nt be surprised if they werent regular hypos.

Was this at the end of June? I know when I spoke with her and her husband, they had two other packages with the same issue.

I'm not an expert on genetics, but how do you get a "triple het?" Is that even possible?
 
Triple Hets

Lisa I bred my dominant ghost male to my female albino and got a whole litter of TRIPLE HETS.They are all HYPOS HET FOR ALBINO AND ANERYTHRISTIC meaning they have 3 genetic traits in each snake,so when you bred them together you get up to 8 different colors.Hope this helps.

To anyone researching or contemplating a future purchase from the Reptile Ranch.

I’m not going to state their “hets” are something other than what they say or that sometimes they can get the animal to the buyer without a problem. Congratulations, to any that received their animals without problems. The track record shows that if you do have a problem that is when the customer service stops.

To those that would purchase from them after reading the several bad guy threads and seeing how they left others with sick or dead animals. In my opinion, It’s a shame that anyone would support a business that has treated other members of our community this way. I couldn't but Hey, I understand, some believe as long as they get theirs, No harm. Good Luck to all.
 
well i just sent reptile ranch an email and asked them if they had any intension;s of rectifying my situation with them... i told them if they did i would post on here they they made it right and stood by there health garuntee....here is what i got in return..note the wonderful language and great customer interaction...

i sent them several e-mails telling them about the situation before i posted on here... i gave them ample time they ignored me the whole time until i sent a money request for the sick boa.. and i never said they were not hets.. i said they probably are not going to prove out.......i think the only damage created here is by them damaging there credibility

Our posts will be buried in the Fauna twilight zone soon enough. But for every entity out there that ever bought based on guarantee, or said in a post "well, they had a good guarantee", whoever the "they" is, are you smoking crack ? For all practical purposes, in the reptile world, guarantees are NOTHING. They are only as good as the company name .... aka reputation .... or the tangible assets that back it up. If they have a reputation of fixing their mistake, OK, that is to be applauded. If you are prepared to mount a legal challenge against them if they don't, providing you have the assets to mount it and they have the assets to cover it, OK. If there's no reputation, I will guarantee your there are no assets either. You lose.

More to Dennis' point. Even the worst of the worst get it right in this business 75% of the time, give or take. So you have one good transaction with someone, and despite existing "bad guy" threads, people want to come here and call someone a "good guy". So one transaction as prescribed warrants the effort to call someone "good" ? That's part of what is so pathetically stupid about many posters here. Its what made TSE seem credible. Some of you will even recommend someone after one good transaction. Its like going to Wal-Mart, getting what you pay for, and then deciding that they are Bloomingdales or Sachs Fifth Avenue. Dennis, we have issues, but the part of your post that I highlighted speaks for the stupidity of those that need to rush here and post an endorsement because nothing went wrong. Pathetic.
