In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Good Guy Reptiles Express

Why in the world do you keep bringing this up? Has there ever been a point that anyone said they thought anything different? I only asked if it made anyone else uncomfortable to agree to pay their legal fees if they're sued. Sure, very unlikely, but it's not impossible. And in the event somebody is nuts enough to sue them, you, THE BUYER, will pay their legal fees.

I appreciate you guys who have actually answered my concerns instead of being sarcastic about it.

Brendon.. That is awesome that you would refund the cost even though it wasn't your fault! That is another two thumbs up for you and makes me even more comfortable shipping through you guys. I drop my packages off at our Hub because I don't trust the UPS Stores around here.

debbie@reptilesexpress

Here is what I have been told at this time. The UPS Stores and there independent authorized dealers are just that all independently owned and operated and have the rights to refuse packages the bottom line is they can refuse snakes.I have had some of the stores call the main hubs and then they excepted the package. I would tell all my customers to take there live animals to the UPS Customer Service Centers (HUB) if at all possible at least for a little while until all the stores and authorized dealers are informed of our waiver and right to ship snakes. The word is making its way around the stores and I have a lot less resistance from the stores then when we first started. The waiver is now in our company's name and this also has helped eliminate a lot of the confusion. If your store has done business with you before there is never a problem with excepting your non venomous packages. Let me finish by saying Thank You to all of our supporters and if you do have problems I will do everything in my power to handle them as quickly as I can.Your live reptiles are as important to you as they are to me.

I used Reptiles Express for the first time Monday and the package arrived today on time and everything went smoothly. Debbie was very helpful in getting our account approved. All around great first experience. Thanks guys.

I have just used them for the first time. Excellent experience!!! Took them to the UPS hub, no problems whatsoever. Delivered at 10:08 a.m. Deb is awesome to deal with also!!

I don't think the UPS store that I bring my shipments to even notice the "Live Harmless Reptiles" written on the side... they've never said anything, and no problems here with any of the 3 shipments I've done with Reptiles Express.

Well I can add another "2 thumbs up" for Reptiles Express. I used them for the first time Tuesday and Debbie was very helpful on the phone, even being as busy as I know she must be these days. I dropped my box at a UPS hub just before 6 and it was signed for at the destination hub at 8:30 yesterday morning.Great service for a great price, Debbie is nothing short of a professional in every way. I will definitely be using their service again.

Yet again no problems for me. I sent out 5 packages yesterday. All made it safe and sound. I meet with the pick up driver for my local UPS Store so he knows I will be dropping off here often and to look out and take care of me. So no problems with Reptile Express or UPS. Well one with UPS. My packages some did not arrive until late in the day. All though the Next Day Air service says that all packages will be there by 10:30am. Only 2 of the 5 made that time.

This all depends on where your customer lives. If they are rural, it will be end of day.

Can I get some insight on this email SYR has sent out.

You can ship dry goods and reptiles not including snakes.

You cannot ship live snakes.

We have been working closely with UPS on the live snake shipping issue. Today we got the official word from UPS' director of dangerous goods:

UPS currently does not allow third party or online snake shipping by anyone. We have learned that all existing snake exceptions apply only to individual breeders or sellers, not their third party or online shipping operations.

While we are fighting hard to allow snake shipping, anyone who currently allows third party or online snake shipping is doing so without UPS permission. Shipments can be stopped and snakes' lives can be endangered. For this reason, we will not book shipments of live snakes at the Daytona show.

The way it sounds is that Reptiles Express is in violation as selling Labels to us, or this is SYR tactic at trying to get more people to come back to them.

Any ideas.

I just read that email as well. I am not sure what the deal with that is. I like to consider myself pretty close with the Reptiles Express Staff. I think if something was wrong they would of told me. But perhaps they themselves dont know that what SYR says is true. I dont think it is though.

We have contacted our UPS reps and the director about SYR statement. The snake shipping topic has been a very hot issue with UPS. We have been battling hard for our side and have been told as of yesterday the UPS corporate world is 50/50 with shipping snakes. It is possible that UPS will temporarily stop allowing snakes shipments with RE. Just like our waiver and our agreement state they can stop snake shipments at anytime. They do have to give us written notice and as of today we have not received any such notice. If we do receive this notice we will post the bad news on our site, send a statement out to all of our members letting them know and post on the forums. The directors that want UPS to ship snakes told RE yesterday they are confident they can have a official RE company policy about snakes updated and procedures in place to make the UPS employees comfortable with snakes in the next few months. We have been told changing the official no snake policy of UPS is a very slow moving ship. They also told us they will not be issuing any new waivers at this time, but the 3 that are still out there are currently valid. Until we are told yes or no that our snake waiver is no longer valid we are operating as business as usual. I will keep everyone updated as we receive answers to our call and email we sent today about this.

I've been using SYR for a few months, through FedEx, and have been VERY happy with them! Prices are half of what they were previously through my personal FedEx account. If it cost $70 to ship to say N.Y. it was $35 through SYR. I'll be using them for a long time to come, I'm sure. Also, Debbie is wonderful, and responds quickly to any issues you may encounter!

I would like to thank you for the kind words Stephen but I actually do NOT work for SYR. You ship with us Reptiles Express that is were the real savings are.
So thank you for using our company

I ship Reptiles Express. They have always had a better price. Just to be sure I had to do a comparison really quick. I'm shipping a snake on 7/23. ReptilesExpress cost $38.33, same shipment with SYR cost $50.90. This has been the case since I started using Reptiles Express 2+years ago. ReptilesExpress has the best prices...period. Pick 2 zip codes and compare both. Not to mention Reptiles Express has KILLER customer service.
