The moron is you. You replaced it locally. You probably found it cheaper so getting the dead animal was your way out. It's called buyers remorse. You probably went and cried because you found it cheaper after you bought it from ReptMart. I'm not ruining anything by my comments. I am showing people what a rediculous customer you are. You are on my do not sell to list for sure. It's people like you, who give customers a bad name.
This (along with many of your responses in this thread) is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen from you. I realize you like the Bells and want to stand up for them....heck, I do, too. They're great people and run a stand-up business. But they ARE people and they DO make mistakes.
If some unknown joe-blow had sent a wrong/dead snake you'd be screaming at him to refund his customer. I've seen screams for refunds for MUCH less offensive service.
The OP was absolutely entitled to a refund, given all the circumstances.
I contacted UPS and they told me that they do not ship snakes regardless of who you are. They said if someone is shipping snakes they could have their account suspended.
I wouldn't trust the word of
any single UPS employee to have an accurate answer to a question like that, unless he was the president/CEO of the company. And even then, I'd wonder if he really knew what other department heads were up to and approving.

Their left hand has no idea what their right hand is doing, 99% of the time.
... ReptMart would probably of refunded his money any way.
I do believe they would have....and maybe this thread WAS a tad premature, but I can certainly try to see it from the OP's point of view. Why is that so hard?
The dead snake cannot be blaimed on ReptMart. Who knows what happened to the package in shipping. A snake goes through hell while being shipped. ReptMart was going above and beyond to correct the problem.
Seriously??? Since when, in the history of the BOI, is it NOT the seller's responsibility when a snake shows up DOA? Show me one place where the community EVER rallied behind that line of thinking.

ReptMart did not go "above and beyond" anything....they met their obligation to their customer. Period.
This is what it is...a misunderstanding that got resolved. Let's not read anything else into it
I agree with this 100%. I'm personally not reading any more into the transaction between the OP and ReptMart than a simple misunderstanding. However, these other comments cannot be read as anything but mind-blowing irrationality.
