    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Reptster.com experience with show sponsorship not good

I haven't been paying much attention the past few days but:

1. Have we been provided sufficient proof of either of these? Or is it just a misunderstanding of a verbal agreement? Or a third part statement?

2. People back out of snake deals all the time -- not a big deal

3. OK but he's said he is working on that - programming flaws in start up business happen - god knows microsoft has enough of them and look where they are

4. What proof was provided? Have we seen Davids bills?

5. Subjective really. Way before this thread started David said he didn't agree with the tactics of the BOI - that doesn't make him a bad guy for choosing not to pander to it.

I'm not siding with David on this at all but before making these statements as fact do we in fact have fact?

This is what ive been trying to say. I just havent said is very well. What Ive been trying to say is that this situation needs to be worked out between Kelly and David in private. I'm not beating a dead horse. This thread is beating a dead horse. If David doesnt like the BOI then hes not comming here and this will never get solved.

The point being made, I think, is that Reptster ISN'T a big corporation who has securities in place that only certain employees have access to sensitive data. Because the #'s aren't "*" out, a hacker can easily view this data by just hacking into a users computer, not just into the Reptster's system. If a hacker got into the Reptster system, can you imagine the havoc they could play with all of those CC #'s? David can say "it'll never happen" and he has "security" all he wants but it happens to large corporations, what makes Reptster anywhere near even equal to the securities in place by those massive companies?

The problem is, Kelly tried for two months to settle it privately. David ignored her. It is his doing entirely that the horse was dragged here to be beaten

You're right. This started out just between Kelly and David. David's failure to do the responsibility and honest thing is why this ended up here. I doubt that David will make good with Kelly, but considering that he finally paid off repticon, there's still the slightest of chances. This thread may be beating a dead horse, but it's David's own fault that the dead horse is him. If this never gets solved, the person it's hurting the most is David.

So why don't you start bringing this up with him?
 
OK gang. Please limit the discussion to business aspects of dealing with Reptster and avoid involving yourself and this site by association in an "us versus them" affair. What they do in relation to how they run their site is their own affair, unless it affects you in a business sense. Making this a hostile environment for Reptster defeats the hoped for purpose of this thread, which is, of course, to try to resolve the originally stated issue.

thanks webslave. This has been my point too. I don't know David from anyone else and cant even get reptiles shipped to me from the mainland so I dont even care about that. I think this thread has gotten so bad nobody will see Repster here again and hear that side of the story.
 
I would like to say since posting the ban ripster avitar, our account has finally been removed. Still not sure why it took this measure to get a simple task like deleting an account, but finally it got done.

RIPster wasnt gonna tell their side of the story here anyway. All he did was blow smoke up our skirts to give himself time to fabricate some obviously fake emails. He even got to the point to where Rich had to put him in his place.

I WAS a Reptster supported and awaited to pass judgement until I heard from David. But after what he pulled... I had all the evidence I needed to make up my mind.

Im fully entrinched on Kelly's side now.

Really? I do when I order pizza to be delivered, when I order my bugs from certain feeder companies, when I buy geckos from other LG breeders that take credit cards, when I pay my cable bill etc... there are other examples I am sure lol. Our business accepts credit cards and has for many years. People call us to order a reptile or reptiles, and they give us their credit card information. It happens all the time. :shrug01:

David doesn't like the BOI, but he also doesn't like to solve this in private either so it was brought here to try to find a solution. That isn't going to happen in private or public from the look of it, but at least we all can see how David runs Reptster. That isn't beating a dead horse that is just pointing out a dead beat for all of us to see.

I'm all digital, baby! :D
All of my bills get paid online through my Credit Union's web site, I can order pizza online, any purchase I make are online or in person...I have no doubt that people still provide CC #'s over the phone (happens daily at my work for instance), I'm just not one of them. :)

Anyway, none of that will matter in the near future because none of our credit cards will work anymore! And good luck getting a loan for anything (ok, back on topic now!).
 
After MANY attempts at trying to get whoever at RIPster to remove my name any posts I have made on RIPster it seems no one there is capable of getting that done.
So either they never learned that part of the programming or they need to keep peoples names up there to make themselves look better.

Either way I will make certain that I let everyone I possibly can, know about how they conduct business and run that RIPster site.

Maybe I will get to see David at an upcoming event and convince him to remove me from the RIPSter site.
 
Many forums choose not to remove member's from their sites when requested to do so, including my own and also this one (Fauna).

On this site (FaunaClassifieds), most requests for removal have been from members who have thoroughly perforated their feet from shots fired by their own "gun" in posting on the BOI. They cannot very well be deleted from this site without also removing their posts made on the BOI, which violates one of the basic building blocks of that forum.

The post/s that I asked to be removed, was posted there BEFORE all of David's/RIPsters business ethics came to light here on FAUNA.

They are just a few posts in various threads, showing of some photos of animals. I basically want my name removed from the RIPster site as I prefer not to be associated with them in any way.

Jim you WERE removed...

Anybody that would like to talk negatively about the site or how it is ran poorly will be happily removed if it is their request. We are fully aware as to how to remove people and do not need the troll like agenda on the site to begin with, so please help us relieve the site of such agenda's... Having such Agenda's ANYWHERE doesn't make ANYONE look any better... As for how we conduct business we are at the Tampa show today and tomorrow and would be more than happy to talk to anybody about the site, Business or upcoming features we'll be adding! I believe we might even have some Reptster.com shirts and some left over Reptster.com Temporary tattoo's!! They seem to be a hit with everybody!

I have been an admin of my own forums and admin/moderator on many other forums. Some reptile related, some not. Not a single one of those forums would delete a member for any reason. This is common place and a really lame reason to try and knock David. There are plenty of legit reasons to knock David without inventing this kind of petty crap.
