    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Reptster.com experience with show sponsorship not good

So, if he hasn't been paying FedEx, where has the money gone that people have been paying HIM to pay FedEx?
And hasn't the deal with UPS been in the works for awhile? I think I mentioned that in one of my original posts...

... but threads like this one and several others just cause others to turn away from using it... here we have over 530+ posts of immature bickering over one person that decided to change their mind from doing business with somebody who couldn't even make theirs up in the first place... Now all of the sudden the guy who respectfully changes their mind is a "bad guy" and everybody wants to trash talk him...

A few questions I have:
Did Reptster decide to stop paying their FedEx bill because FedEx rates went up since they first entered the contract? I mean, that would make sense since we've seen that allegation in another situation.

How does a "fast growing business" come to find itself in this type of predicament? Surely someone would've seen the warning signs.

I'll come right out and say it now so I won't have to later; You'd have to be a fool to use Reptster if they were to ever get back up & running. I stopped using them once Kelly's situation came to light. I'm back to using my own FedEx account, one that many people could've already had opened so they wouldn't be scrambling so furiously now to figure out a way to ship those reptiles they've already sold.

I hope those that got trapped in this current situation are able to overcome it. How many more lives need to be ruined or shaken up?

That is assuming he can get an account to ship other's reptiles through UPS and that he can get them to change their minds on shipping snakes.
Given his default with Fed Ex I think it may not be an easy accomplishment.
 
If he let his account go to collections....then what was he doing with all the money he made from shipping his customers packages?

And now.... since so many had relyed on him to ship... he has left them out in the cold... and holding the box while his programers figure out a way to set it up for UPS now........ WOW.

I am so glad I saw the light when this tread started... and finished getting certified on my own.

Apparently FedEx was not agreeable to being paid for its services with Repster temporary tattoos. Maybe UPS will be more receptive to this form of currency...:rofl:

Where's old DJslurpsalot with his spin on how this is working out exactly how David Young expected and in fact Repsters membership has tripled since this news broke....:rolleyes:
 
Just some simple figures.

Lets say that average cost to ship is $50.... and because anyone could use his number he shiped out 100 packages a day..... thats $5,000 PER DAY.... where is the money if he wasn't paying the bill?

I guess that Allen from Big Daddy's Wholesale, and Terry Heuring (see earlier comments in this thread) will be here soon to explain. Still handing out all those flyers guys???

I remember David talking about working out with a deal with UPS in the shipping forum thread, but he wasn't willing to go into details at that time.

Here's a little conspiracy theory for ya'll to ponder (I think I'm being programmed with all of the stinking political ads).

Reptster has been questioned here (as well as other places, I'm sure) about whether or not they have/had an actual agreement with FedEx to be a third-party shipper. Reptster has now dropped FedEx (or more realistically FedEx has dropped Reptster). Is it possible that FedEx closed Reptster's account/sent them to collections because there was no agreement between the two parties to begin with and David was actually violating their terms of service? If there was no agreement, then Reptster was receiving bulk discounts fraudulently, the result being FedEx losing profits. FedEx may be attempting to recover some of that money????
 
And thus probably a good assumption. I would still like to know how he plains to change a corporations mind on shipping snakes.

IF he actually does get UPS to agree to ship snakes....then maybe it will have a good affect on the rest of us.....however Im not gonna hold my breath. It could very well turn out like Fedx.

Kelly... the more I think about it... the more your theory makes sense.... why would you leave all your clients out in the cold holding a box with no way to ship.... seems to me you'd first get UPS online... then close down Fedx.

I just got off the phone with a friend of mine that sent out 6 packages yeterday. All made it just fine to their desitnations. So looks like it will be a wait and see situation.
