HARD CANDY
I'm new to this hobby so I don't have the luxury of knowing who to trust. I do my best to find reviews before I buy but they aren't always available. And you are right I am very bitter, I'm not use to being taken advantage of and it doesn't feel good. It's very hard to let go when the wound still feels very fresh. I use to own a licensed dog breeding kennel and I ran into very little problems with buying or selling, it was wonderful. I realize there are good and bad in every hobby but so far it seem to me like reptiles draw a large number of liars, cheats and thieves. Maybe I've just had extra bad luck.![]()
Good observation.
this may be because the reptile trade is largely unregulated. You don't come off as an "impossible to please buyer" to me. But, I seem to be in the minority.Just a word to the wise... A lot of us have undergone similar or worse experiences and since some of those speaking up to advise you to let it go are actually people above reproach (I am no referring to the seller's cheerleading squad), I would heed the advice.
In my opinion, you are not actually "letting go," it's more that you are stepping away to see if he's actually turned over a new leaf or not. We won't know till he cons someone else, and he won't do that while this thread lives (unless he's a complete fool).
So you are stepping away to give him a chance to either dig this "hole" deeper or learn from the lesson you taught him.
