• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My best guess is that he knows this person will be gone from their house then, and will be sitting in wait to sign for the package (if it even requires a signature. One package I received didn't!). I read of a lot of scams where people would have stolen merchandise delivered to either abandoned houses or people they know won't be home, then they steal the package right off the doorstep. It's a good way to get the merchandise without having to reveal your address.

Follow the lead on the phone number, definitely!
Can you find out the provider of the phone number, contact them and tell them it's being used in connection with abuse and theft?

The 517 number says cingular wireless pcs company. So thats a cell phone and when i told them this number is used in scam they hung up on me.

The other number for david ill call today some time

Er... they hung up on you? Not the best customer service...
If it were me, I'd call them back until they heard me out!

Hmm... tried calling local police (to the house where the address was) and making a report now that you have a general vicinity?

Not getting local pd invloved yet. Still ironing out for sure if that is a real address or not. I have lawyer on standby awaiting more info. Ill also be getting credit check as well, done

I don't check up on this thread much, but I saw the name Ryan Weaver, couldn't figure out how it got brought up, but if it ends up being one in Ky, let me know.

I was bringing up a long shot based on the name of the owner of the property where the package was requested to ship to and the fact that when Rich called the ph# someone named Ryan answered. Just a long shot... probably nothing

I don't think the location a cell phone is registered too really matters. My wife has a Las Vegas number and we live in Michigan. We got that number when I shared a plan with my parents. Later I got a company phone and gave that phone to my wife instead of her paying for her own plan.
