In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

OH MY GOD THEY'RE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm far to excited to write much more than this but I had to tell people!

Pictures and details to come :p

Alright...this is my first post as an official reptile-keeper :). I've been in love with them for years, have handled Toby's frequently but these are MY first pets. I fell in love with the species (Charina bottae) two years ago and they are finally here!

It was a pleasure to deal with Amy Zerkle. Our 1.1 boas arrived happy and healthy and were delivered on short notice from us without delay.

So--without further delay--the babies!:

The male is on the left, the female on the right. We were surprised by how big he was compared to her but not unhappy.

This is the girl. Isn't she precious? No matter where we put her, if she got near my thumb, that's where she wanted to be.

This is the 10 gal tank they're in now and we have a 30 gal coming in the next few weeks. Prior to putting them in the tank, we fed them. The male ate 4 pinkies and then immediately went exploring around his tank. The female managed a half a pinkie and then burrowed straight under the substrate and we only got brief views of her for the rest of the evening.

We'll try feeding her again in a few days.

This little guy just didn't sit still...even after being a total pig.

Hello!

He has since curled up into the piece of wood in the back left corner and taken up residence.

We're very happy to have them and I hope you enjoy the pictures :)

Nice looking boas you have there. It looks like they have a very nice home. Good luck with them.

cute little buggers! how did the female manage to eat "half" a pinkie?

Well, she grabbed its backside-not its head-and its insides (for lack of a better word) gushed out. She ate them and apparently decided that an entire (now hollow) pinkie was just too much effort.
