In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

S P A C E B A L L

My biggest point I was trying to make is that what if everyone started calling their normal balls that might have a reduced pattern or busy pattern or whatever by a new name and calling it a morph or dinker. Its bad enough we've been getting tons of posts "check out my new dinker!" And they're nothing but pretty normals or even not so great normals.

I understand fully where you were going with naming it. You didn't want anyone using that name. I have a lot of dinker projects going on over here. Am I gonna go and give each one a name and call it a morph? No. Each person is different. Some will right off the bat slap a name on it. Let's just hope we don't have a bunch of ppl now naming their normals. It will be very confusing when other newcomers come around. I personally am a firm believer in don't name it til ya prove it. I wasn't calling you foolish. I was merely stating that if it turned out to be nothing at all, you would look so. You would also feel a bit so, I'd imagine.

In all seriousness she's gorgeous and I'm excited for you. I do hope she does turn out to be something. Let's just hope its super form isn't another all white snake.

She does look like she could be compatible with a mojave, mystic, lesser, butter, etc.

What did you pair her to? I don't remember if you stated it. Ill look back at the 1st page and see.

she was paired with very nice looking fire. I understand the point your trying to make with the whole naming thing. Also, I wouldent feel foolish if she doesent prove out, i just wanted to cover my bases just in case she did! I am not offened at all when one speeks there mind! I do all the time! I wish i would have paired her with a mojo, lesser, butter, but like you said who wants another white snake!

I SURE WOULD LOVE TO SEE SOME OF THE DINKER PROJECTS YOUR WORKING ON, UNLESS THERE SECRET?

One I recently picked up is a nice sable looking granite male. There's a thread on here about him called. "Help identify this guy"

Hopefully Im wrong but all I see is a normal. I think a lot of people forget how much variation are in normals, and everyone hopes theirs is next big thing (which I myself am guilty of). I hope in 60 days you prove us all wrong, best of luck.

I say go for it all the way! Those dark spots that are "leaking" out of the top left & right of the alien eyes, the hues in that third pic, the excessive alien heads, and that dark dark background all scream something to work towards and is what makes that different from a normal IMO. It may not have that "WOW" factor, but it could eventually. This is the fun that keeps this hobby going.

There are PLENTY of dominant morphs that look just like normals. Sheesh, even het's are morphs, some with indicators, some with none. Not to mention this was wild caught! I think that alone greatly increases your chances. At least half of the morphs started from someone goin, "hhmmm, hey Bob, does this one look a little different to you?" It's pioneers that pave the way for tomorrows fanatics.

Here's a dinker that I was working with that was bought as a normal. Of course, I got a message from a guy at the pet sotre later on saying it was a black pastel, but as with you, the funny will be seeing the results.

all this talk about naming a new morph........I am in trouble if any of my dinkers prove out because I had a hard time naming my kid:rofl:

good luck with the dinker. i have some balls that have alien heads too. some people call the normals "jungles" cause of the pattern. i have a nice fire that has a lot of alien heads on him.

hope you have great luck!

I have her sister....

In this pic she is out of the blue eye shed phase...any normal day she has the same color contrast as yours.....just a bit more granite flaking...
Let me know how yours turns out....I am hitting an Enchi male to mine this year.
Good Luck

SAD BUT GOOD UPDATE

OK, SO I HAVE 2 EGGS OUT OF 6 LEFT. I TRIED EVERYTHING IN THE BOOK TO SAVE THIS CLUTCH FROM BEING COMPLETLY TAKEN OVER BY THE GREEN MOLD OF DEATH!

THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THERES SOMETHING GOING ON WITH THIS GIRL NOW!

JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PATTERN ON THOSE BABIES!

THAT JUST SCREAMS MORPH!

PLEASE GOD LET THE OTHER 2 SURVIVE AND LET ON BE A MALE

IN THE SECOND PIC I SPRAYED PEROXIDE ON THE PATTERN TO BRING IT OUT A BIT MORE. FUNNY IDEA BUT IT WORKED

KEEP IN MIND THIS FEMALE WAS BRED TO A FIRE. BUT HE DIDENT HAVE A PATTERN LIKE THAT. IF THOSE ARE FIRES THEY ARE INFLUENCED BY THE MOTHER DUE TO THE UPSIDE DOWN TEAR DROP LOOKING MARKINGS. THE MOTHER HAS THEM BUT EVERY ONE OF THEM IS OBSTRUCTED BY A BLACK SPLOTCH. I UNDERSTAND THE PATTERN ISENT FULLY DEVELOPED BECAUSE THERE ONLY ON DAY 36 BUT ITS MOSTLY THERE FOR YOU TO SEE, THOSE ARE SOLID UPSIDEDOWN ALIEN HEADS WITH NO SPOTTING

actually those patterns SCREAM....

"UNDEVELOPED BABIES!!!!!"

That pattern is no where near even being close to done.....so no....those don't scream morph at all.....it looks like pretty normal alien head formations

do you have any pictures to prove what your saying is true?

the pattern is there just not filled with color.

normal thats where i think your wrong look at the solid alien heads, there much different unless you can show me a normal that looks like that

Not really any point in arguing about it. You came here with your opinion and Willow did the same. Personally I wouldn't be claiming anything with only a couple, non developed babies but thats just my opinion.

No worries though, in about 20 more days we should all know for sure right.
Good luck with the last two eggs. I hope they thrive for you!

im not trying to upset anyone i hope you dont think i am

anyway its really all just a assumption anyhow. i know there undeveloped just wanted to keep yall updated

the more i think about it maybe they are just reduced pattern in some way

only time will tell, i sure hope the last 2 survive if not theres always next season, but i wont be breeding her to a fire it will be something of the bel complex

thanks for looking

I didn't think that lol. All is good.

Good luck again. I am definitely interested in seeing the last two.

Willow is absolutely correct. You can take normal eggs that are cut prematurely and find some of the craziest looking things. Those babies could have both been normals if they made it all the way.
