    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sam Craver of Cage Crafters (Buyer Beware)

I see Sam put " no longer open for business" on his cagecrafters website. I doubt now you will get your money owed without taking him to small claims court. It is not worth the headache with him, to wait month after month, to finally pay back slowly as he did with me. I would definately start legal proceedings as that might make him wake up, answer his phone, and do the right thing.. Sam, sell a few snakes to pay back HER money.
 
Jean - thanks for the update. Guess he had time enough to do that, but not time enough to return my phone calls/emails.

I just sent this via paypal - not that I think he cares about any of it. Attorney or not...

i hope both you and he get what you deserve him more than a slap on the wrist and you either a full refund and payment for services rendered from reading both threads about this scammer he seems to continue because he can. maybe he needs to learn an expensive lesson.

I feel very bad for you and this,I had a friend once that did this same thing to me.I didn't have to go as far as you did.If he was a friend, why would he do this to his customer who is also a friend.My friend offered me 2 Female het for albino boas,and they were over 2 years old ,so that was a better deal for me in the end.Maybe he having ruff times,i know thats unjust and he should have just gave you what you ordered.Does he have any kind of Animals you want,If so i would tell him make a deal
Just a thought,It would be nice to not see people get burned by others that make cages.Yet it seems the power for coarse getting theses cages from certain cage builders.I hope everything works out for you i know what its like waiting and waiting for cages.There comes a time when enough is enough and you defiantly waited long enough.Again i hope everything works out for you with the least about stress and time that this may take

Just an update. Fred wrote Sam an email a couple of days ago. Last night he did write back. I won't go into details at this point, to respect his privacy. Some excuses were made why things were like they were and he claimed this was out of his control. I don't buy it. But, at least we heard back from him. He claims he will send the missing components to the cages he already sent. He also claims that he will send a refund to us and Sue is helping him in that department. I will believe all of this when I see it. I called him this morning, as well as following up with an email, and told him that we need to have the refund before DAYTONA, as that would be most beneficial to us to replace the cages. That way, we will not have to worry about shipping if we can purchase racks and cages there. But, I won't hold my breath that it will happen.
 
Good news is that he did actually call me back today. He promised that he would be shipping the missing components for the first three cages, and that he will send the last three cages. As for the racks - he is returning the money. I told him we needed this done before Daytona and he said that he plans on having this cleared up before then. He says he is off this Sunday and Monday and that he will ship on Monday and call me with Tracking Numbers this time. We shall see if this happens. I hope so. It would be nice to be able to pick up racks from someone else in Daytona.
 
And i almost bought some caging from them around X-mas last. They both seemed like good people, and their site The Blood bank was pretty friendly place to chat. Then next thing you know, the site closes, and i start to read these things on the BOI about them. Sure am glad I didn't go with them. I would have been in a pickle with a litter on the way and no racks.

I hope it all works out for you Fred and Lori. Really sucks when you see someone you genuinely liked go down hill like this.

Daytona starts August 18th (16 days), just wondering if he has at all followed through with anything promised ? Or just more lame family issue stories and EXCUSES as usual. The exact same lines I got from him when he was screwing me.

Nope. Haven't gotten anything. I got some advice from an unnamed source to just get the money back..period. That is what I am attempting to do. I have sent numerous requests for payment through paypal, made numerous phone calls and sent emails. No responses all the way around.
 
Ya, I figured so..I was and still am going thru cancer crap when he got me, FYI-Cancer sucks, even the 2nd time around. And at the time I did not need the stress that little man put on my life. I was even going to take the time to fly out and take him to small claims court. The little man needs to learn a lesson about screwing his customers, spending their money, buying expensive snakes with OUR money, and not delivering or delivering subpar/broken/incomplete cages. Then making up the most outragous excuses/lies I have ever heard. Due to Sam Craver, I had to give up the little enjoyment I had in my life. I had bought 6 bearded dragons(and had to cancel others I had on hold) and was going to start a small breeding project-business with some great killer gene dragons, but thanks to Sam Craver I ended up having to place them in good homes, due to not having caging when promised and was (still) not working and spent every $$$ to get those cages. Then had to wait MONTHS for a small refund here and there..Can you tell I am still totally pissed. I miss my Dragons bad Sam.I still look at ads often to see if they are being resold.Or do you even care or have a conscience? Take a nice trip(vacation) to Jersey and take him to court. It would make my day..

Sam, Gonna bump this up until you pay up, so these good folks can buy,what you did not provide them as promised, at Daytona. Can you show your face here and answer why you have sent a half order of incomplete/broken caging, thousands of dollors of rack that were never built and never told them they were not, why you can't repay monies owed (thousands) not pocket change, Sam! owed for cages and racks that WERE NEVER EVEN BUILT, won't communicate with your customers, tell tall tales, and how you become such a bad businessman. Can ya Sam!

This is really upsetting to hear. Sue was/is a good friend of mine and helped me out when getting my first blood. I think Sam is just in over his head and I feel bad for him. He's a good guy but I think he's overwhelmed. I can only hope everything works out for you guys.

Doesn't it show who gave you bad Karma and why?

Lori and I both appreciate everyone trying to help us get this resolved. I would really like to be able to get new racks and cages at Daytona. We really need to get more cages and racks. We have had to stop purchasing animals and with as many breeders we have that will be ready next season we really need the room. I just don't see him making good on any of this.
