In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sandfire Dragon Ranch

Tammy, I want to clarify the only reason I mentioned that you had also tested bins is because you had mentioned that on a previous thread. That just means that there were more dragons than what the tests represented. That is absolutely all I meant by that.

I am far from an expert, but I have been reading and learning about this virus. It is true, a dragon can live a healthy life and carry the virus. Some might be affected by it, but it is just way too early to have all of the facts.
IMO, It could be compared to the Parvo virus, many dogs carry that virus without it affecting them. Does it kill every dog? No, If it did dogs would be extinct.

For those that do not know this, a dragon that is positive can test negative. One negative test does not mean your dragon is free of this virus. It is recommended to test at least three times if they are testing negative on these tests.

Also, It is believed to be a very strong virus, it is recommended to kill it in a enclosure you must use a strong bleach solution. This could also be one reason it is so wide spread.

As I stated before, it is just too early to have all the answers.

No, Wendy that was true and that is good...what Wendy is meaning is that I was saying on another forum saying that one particular paper of mine had 4 adults and two baby bins, 3 adults had no viral particles seen and one adult had one adenolike seen and both baby bins were no viral seen...but that was 6 submissions ...but really 50+ animals..I can send this to whomever wants to look at it.

I was wanting everyone one to know that we tested and we did not have any problems....we can't assume that the only or most people testing are having problems.....not true at all. Most people are testing their breeders before breeding. Most people who said they tested did not...so there we are. I do know a few of us are trying to get answers and a few are pushing trash in the way.

Tammy, that is a dang good post!! I could not agree more.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dragons due to someone giving you the wrong information, I might add without them having any facts.

For those that do not know this, someone told her she needed to euthanize/kill her infected dragons, she took that person's advice. IMO, it is very sad when people like the one that told you to do that makes things up, it also does nothing but hurt us and our hobby.

Worst thing about this is that person doesn't seem to show up and answer anyones questions. This person is actively reading all of whats going on but never steps up and says anything.
Is there a reason for this?
I think so.
To many people are looking up to this individual and shouldn't be.
Jim

JimD,

Why do you allude to specific people in so many of your posts but never actually say who you are talking about? Sack up dude.

If I have something to say directly to someone I will use their name. When I have a personal feeling about someone or something there is no need to call names. These people know who they are when a statement is made and its up to them to speak up or lay low.
All it does it start more games that waste time for all of us.
Hope that clarifies why.
Jim

No, no one person told me directly to euthanize my dragons, it was suggestion in a paper from a veterinarian.

The misinformation I was receiving about other people having clear colonies testing totally clear and coupled with the suggestion of strict quarantine isolation or euthanisia I had a choice to make and I was an idiot and made a poor one.

Well Denise aka Denisebme, we are still waiting for you to answer about your testing. You are the only breeder now that claims clean tests on their animals. There is one more, but she got busted in her scam:

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97996

You need to come clean about this Denise, the cat is out of the bag.

Unless new posts are specifically concerning Sandfire Dragon Ranch, please take this elsewhere. Otherwise this thread will have to be locked.

Where do I start?

Let me first say I was wrong, not only wrong, but dead wrong on this. I have called both Denise and Tere, I gave both of them an apology, what happen here in the last few days is far from fact. IMO Denise is a great person, also I do not know how anyone could think anything but this about her. Tere is also one super nice person.

I have been deceived about this whole thing, I could start pointing fingers, I was misinformed from the start on this issue. However, when I hit the submit button it was me that posted.
