    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

sandfire dragon ranch

The Petsmarts and Petco's and other large pet shops that USED to sell alot of bearded dragons are no longer getting them in the mass amounts as in prior years.

Corporate offices's know about this Virus,they also employee Vets in their offices not just the stores.

When they order say 500 babies to distribute to area markets that they know will sell them. Then receive them upon arrival sick,dead, missing tails, nips in feet or tail etc. To young to be shipped only the strongest survive.

They are quarantined .. they fill out the form so many nips so many dead so many sick etc. The strong ones that live and make it go on to be sold.

They notify the supplier of the condition of animals upon arrival and get their so called credit due them.

The store then take responsibility for selling a so called healthy pet.

Well problem is the babies are not healthy as they once where, stores are having to refund not only vet bills but for everything the customer purchased for that dragon if something happens in the 2 week guarantee.

Remember they also have a responseability to the customer and the public.

To Corporate places it is also about money and the bottom line..

If a product starts losing money they will discontinue selling it animals or not
and it only takes a season or 2 of loss
 
If proof is optional why are you demanding anything from Sandfire? I've no opinons on the actual subject matter as I admittedly have no experience with beardies or the adenovirus, but strictly from an outsiders view it seems to me that the original thread creator has some questionable evidence that her bearded dragon, purchased from a petco, may or may not have originally come from Sandfire Dragon Ranch and the Dragon in question may have died as a result of adenovirus, though there is no actual evidence of this so the creators word must be taken. Judging soley on the posts of the creator of the thread they come off as immature and exaggerated. The post by Kevin seems to have been twisted, manipulated and used as a base for an awful lot of assumptions.

In all I think that if you'd like to gain support for your cause you might be less confrontational to those with a differing viewpoint and more receptive to providing evidence in support of your case. Also, if you'd slow down and review your posts rather than just running it all together without regard for punctuation or spelling you might also have better results.

Just some suggestions.

bill,if YOU would take the time to read the posts carefully you will see that my beardie did NOT die and also i am NOT demanding anything from sandfire.i am not saying anything that kevin has not said himself:he believes that he has adeno in the colony and he will not test
 
Michele, I believe your intentions here were honorable. But, maybe you should have done a little research on adenovirus in American bred beardies before you came here and threw a fit.

I did today, and learned a lot, although precious little scientific research has been done on this subject.

Again, I'm not saying your intentions were bad, but if you're going to shout something from the rooftops, do your homework first.

I think it is all clear now, there has been a few breeders that have claimed to test negative for the virus. One has already been caught,Here is the one that got caught's thread:

Where do I start?

Let me first say I was wrong, not only wrong, but dead wrong on this. I have called both Denise and Tere, I gave both of them an apology, what happen here in the last few days is far from fact. IMO Denise is a great person, also I do not know how anyone could think anything but this about her. Tere is also one super nice person.

I have been deceived about this whole thing, I could start pointing fingers, I was misinformed from the start on this issue. However, when I hit the submit button it was me that posted.
