    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

While I am not trying to discredit your information in any way, and agreeing that it is very possible that your Jojo was born with or contracted Adeno at Sandfire, you have to consider it a distinct possibility that she also could have contracted it at Petco. Knowing what so-called standards Petco has for cleanliness and such with their reptiles, it's not unbelieveable.

Again, knowing as little as we do about this damn virus, it's so difficult to get a straight, definitive answer to anything......and I'm sure if Sandfire were to contact you, that would be their answer.

I'm very sorry you and Jojo have to go through this.
 
didnt i say that it was a possibility??there is ALWAYS a possibility that things arent what they seem but until sandfire can prove to me that they dont have adeno then i will continue warning people.i am still waiting to hear from them.this petco said that they use one other source but he couldnt even find a file for a delivery from the other company and they keep the paperwork for a year.
 
Michele, I understand that.....all I'm basically saying is that would probably be the answer you would get from Sandfire. :shrug01:

Since we don't know how long the virus can live in a unoccupied habitat, it is a possibility, though I find it as unlikely as you that it would have been contracted from there.

Or.....even if it had been a year since they last purchased from another seller, the last dragons they got from them could have passed it on to the next dragons they ordered from Sandfire.....and so on down the line for the last year.

Like I said, all UNLIKELY scenarios. I'm just trying to give you every possibility that may be thrown at you.

update on sandfire

well i just got off the phone with sandfire.i spoke to kevin,their specialist.he basically said`that all beardies have the virus in them and it is only brought out by stress or poor husbandry!!! he states that they are NOT planning on testing. :angry:
 
Well Kevin Dunn is good people. I would think if it was on Sandfire's part, Kevin will make this right.
 
well as I stated in the other thread, Kevin Dunn is good people. I highly doubt your problem came from Sandfire dragon ranch, but more likely Petco.

Wherever the virus came from, the way Sandfire handled this and their refusal to test is still deplorable.

Well Kevin is a expert when it comes to beardies. I highly respect his thoughts on the matter. Did you tell Kevin about this thread and to other one on the other site? I think it would be fair if Kevin has the chance to reply to the accusations. Maybe you should call him back or send him a email about it. :thumbsup:

Wrong, your beardie came from Petco, not directly from Sandfire Dragon ranch. Kevin is a expert when it comes to beardies. I highly respect his thoughts on the matter. i wouldnt consider him to be more knowledgable than wentz or miller would you?if he doesnt feel the need to notify the public that he is breeding and selling adeno-positive dragons,why should i bother to take the time to notify him??sandfire isnt showing any respect for buyers so then what kind of respect do they deserve?you are more than welcome to contact him tho.
