    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sara Gatto, aka clarinet45, aka Mezclado Reptilia, not to be trusted

I have read this entire thread, and have followed it without comment, up until now. I have never personally dealt with Sara ever, nor have I had any dealings with Sammy or Harald. I know Harald and I dont get along on a personal level, but he is still a good person and did not deserve this at all. The most shocking thing to me is that Sara, as an active member of the fauna community would allow this to happen, knowing what it can, and now has done to her reputation. Honesty is always the best policy and this will be a harsh lesson for her. I dont know what she can do to save face at this point, it will be a long hard road to get her reputation back, but at least if she made everything square, and came on here with a heartfealt apology and explanation, she would be on the right track. Everyone deserves a second chance, but not if they didnt make an effort to right their first wrong. I hope for her sake that she fixes this, because prior to all this she had a fairly good reputation, and from what I have seen some beautiful dragons. Believe me I have hit rock bottom, and been broke, and it can be embarrassing, but in the end you still have to face the music, and the sooner you face it, the better you look, and the sooner you are relieved. Harald and Sammy both seem like reasonable people, and I do truly believed they would have worked it all out if she had just been upfront.

I know personally I have a friend that bought a snake from me in October of 2005(Adult Male Albino Green Burmese) and still hasnt finished paying me for it(owes $100 still), but he doesnt have the extra money since he is staying home to take care of a sick family member a lot, and I understand that, and he calls regularly and the snake is being well taken care of, so I have no problem with him owing it to me. His being upfront, and keeping in touch is enough, and I am sure Harald and Sammy felt similar. All in all for everyone's sake involved I hope this all clears up and is settled, but only time will tell. Take care and have a great day, Dan M.

These findings do change things quite a bit. It goes from maybe she was hard up and embarrased, to maybe she doesnt deserve compassion. I cant believe that someone would do that. To me its always important to pay off debts immediately, if for nothing else to have money available to me in the future. If you pay someone back on time or even before, that person is likely to help you out in the future, because they feel you are likely to pay them back. If it had been repairs on a car or rent the money was spent on, fine, it would be understood, but more reptiles???? That is insanity. Again I am so sorry to see that great people like you guys got taken for a ride on this one. If it were me I wouldnt be expecting payment anytime soon, if ever. It's truly depressing that a business involving such great animals can be filled with such awful people and scumbags, not that I am neccesarily calling Sara a scumbag, I dont know her. I will say though that she is moving towards that old saying of "If the shoe fits." Hopefully she can make it right and prove us all wrong, but my hope is diminishing. Guess this won't get cleared up with a simple PM or two...For the sake of putting this thread back on track, I am in SoCal...with Bonnie. I am not used to sharing a computer with another Fauna member, and I forgot to check usernames when I came on this morning...she had logged me off last night when she came on.
