I'll post a pic as soon as I get them.
My Hogg is has a GREAT feeding response. I was feeding her about a month ago, and as I was covering her home w/a blanket so she wouldn't be likely to strike (no movement etc) She struck the glass twice. I looked at her quickly and she was fine.
About a month later she developed a brown area over a few scales RIGHT where she struck the glass. The brown covered over her pigmentation. It got slightly larger a few weeks ago. Then she shed.
After she shed, right where she bopped her head, where the brown spot was, there were no scales. In their place is basically pinkish tissue. It's not bone. But it looks like human skin. As if her scales were peeled away.
She's fine in terms of behavior. She doesn't even seem to notice they are missing.
My question is...WILL THEY GROW BACK???
If they don't, what should I do, if anything, about this delicate area where there are no scales?? I've never encountered this before.
